I unsubscribed, the game was made for reviewers, not players. First few hours were great, fast combat, few skills, story seemed to go somewhere. Later you have to smash a mob 50 times before he dies, 4 full bars of redundant skills and storyline is so weak it I can't imagine how it could come from the same people who made Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect. Additionally the game looks so-so and at the same time runs slower than Crysis or Battlefield 3 :] Seriously, where all that money went...?

Star Wars vs. Star Trek is surely a matter of taste, I just think that the latter gets far more silly by trying to to be serious, while SW seems to be more honest about itself, hence the comparison I also thought that I won't play as Commando after I saw how his healing looks like, but I'd rather see this issue fixed instead. The class plays quite nice, so I hope more people will complain about that hideous healing design and BW will make it look decent.

I think sprint should be removed or replaced by speeder at lvl 25. Or maybe set default movement speed at somewhere between normal and enhanced with sprint? I just feel this is a very redundant ability.

I'll respond to the thread just to increase a chance that people from Bioware see the thread I always thought that armour for Jedi should not look like a typical paladin armour. I like the set which you see at character creation, it is surely heavy but it still says "he is a Jedi". Can't tell that about the endgame set for a guardian (the one seen on the progression trailer), it could be put on a character in any fantasy setting and it would take a while before I would notice something is awkward about that. Still, I understand it is really difficult to design those armour sets. WOW totally failed there, I just hope SWTOR won't.

I don't think there's anything wrong, or at least that there are no major technical issues with Commando class healing so far. I also like the idea of a trooper calling for healing/support drones, IMHO that is a great idea for implementing healing for a class that doesn't use force. I have a problem with one ability though, unfortunately it is the main ability which your will use all the time a healer. HOW AND WHY DOES HEALING-RAY (???) COME OUT OF A BLASTER CANNON?! It's ridiculous, looks weak and makes absolutely no sense iwithin star wars universe. It is star trek-grade stupid, midichlorian-like silliness. Other classes either throw kolto packs at allies, or perform medical scans and it works fine within the Star Wars lore. But shooting healing bullets? That is an awful idea. IMO if commando did the same animation as a smuggler (simple medical scan or sth) it would fit better and give more of a field medic feel to the class. I hope more people agree or have better ideas and it will get changed. I tried to be constructive here, but c'mon - this design is seriously retarded, am I not right...?

There are several things that don't really make sense to me regarding character creation. Does anyone know a reasonable explanation for why Rattataki cannot be Sith Warriors? Or cybernetics, there are different ones for bounty hunters, warriors and republic troopers, I don't see a reason why wouldn't all options be available to everyone. The content is already there, it would only require editing an xml file or something simillar, I wish they unlock some more options in a patch or sth :/

And they modded UI so severely, that Blizz had to design new dungeons with the mods in mind and it only created a larger mess. I hope there won't be any compulsory mods for SWTOR, as UI and visuals are integral part of the game and tinkering with it can cause more confusion than its worth. UI mods in WoW are often as stupid and game-changing as aimbots and see-through hacks in shooter games (DeadlyBossMod being no.1 example I think). I don't want that. :/

I hope we will get some patches and driver updates soon, my rig (nothing super powerful - Q6600, 4GB ram and GTX 460) runs Battlefield 3 perfectly (almost everything on high) and I get about 35+ fps in SWTOR. If I switch on the shadows it is barely playable, mouse lag feels terrible. I could try to switch off the vsync, but screen tearing would drive me mad :] What I'm trying to say is not to worry too much if you have to keep your settings low or you experience fps drops, I bet it will be fixed. This game cannot be more demanding than BF3!

And yes, couldn't agree more. Blizz makes enough money they could redo WoW 10 times over, but with every subsequent patch they only add a few items, one new boss and 5 reskined ones and maybe a $20 pet/mount.

Well, if you look at WOW nowadays: sitting and chatting in Stormwind and using matchmaking to get teleported into instanced dungeons. Occasionally farming something. I think that WOW loses players (I'm basing it mostly on my personal experience though!) because it lost that roleplaying aspect, you don't wander around and do crazy stuff with other people anymore. And it got boring and meaningless when every 18 months there was another Armageddon approaching. Hope BW will keep it down a bit compared to WoW.

So far I read only positive reports about early access performance and server stability, so I hope maybe they will deliver and grant the full 5 days early access for all preorders. After all, they should stress test the servers a bit more anyway, to get prepared for the population spike on 20th and 24th-25th when people unwrap their gifts Not to mention the positive customers reaction and good word of mouth this would cause, so it looks like a win-win if they let people in ASAP. But then again I won't be surprised if I get my access on 19th 23:30, life just sucks sometimes =P
