  1. Lucas has a brand to preserve. Maintaining brand integrity is far more important than this one game. The question is whether those models would impact brand integrity.
  2. Why remove the mod at all? No one is forcing you to pay 174k credits to remove it. Just overwrite the thing with a Columi or Rakata and move on.
  3. The wrong role bug is essentially every other member of the group except the leader. If you queue solo or are queueing as the leader you're fine. All they would have to do to correct it is prompt members to confirm their role as soon as a group queues.
  4. But I already have the character I want to play. I've been rolling new characters and leveling them up for 15 years now across a myriad of games ... after about year 11 or 12 or so, I started getting more and more annoyed at leveling and re-leveling that grind in every new game, that for the last several years, when my guild has moved games, I will level up one character that I enjoy, focus on that guy, and I really, truly, and UTTERLY DESPISE at this point leveling up an alt - especially when it's doing the exact same quests, in the exact same content. .... and then here comes EA with a great idea to STRONGLY ENCOURAGE folks to roll and play alts - because they sure as hell don't have enough compelling new content for mains. Frankly, I don't even really want to level up a main - but at least with a new game it's all new stuff the first time through, and that's a little better, so I can do one. Once I get max level, I've got no interest in tons of alts. It sucked that this event doesn't give me anything worthwhile for any of my characters - and frankly that's more than a little disheartening, but oh well. Several folks in my guild haven't quit yet, and I've only cancelled one of my accounts so far, so I'm still on the fence for more I guess. I think these days the biggest thing keeping my guild on SWToR is we can't all agree on anywhere else to go. The mods say "we know all their events are unique, right?" ... Uh sure, I guess, both of them have been. I think it's kind of cheesy to have events so infrequently and only provide an item useable by 1 advanced class, maybe 2 if you're Empire. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, it's what I've come to expect from Bioware / EA on this game. I guess it's what a million or so other folks have come to expect over the last year too
  5. Any chance of a "Cartel PvP Gear Set" showing up on the Cartel Coin store? Something better than the blue recruit gear to help those of us who haven't spent as much time- or leveled up on an underpopulated server without active PvP transition into lvl 50 PvP?
  6. I was approached today by an agent of the Chevin regarding why they actually have the entire galaxy out collecting random junk... Warning: Spoilers ( and/or roleplay elements)
  7. Duplicate... backtabbing on my phone again
  8. I've stated I am ok with them re-releasing them, so long as how they re-release them does not trivialize the effort the original folks put in for ours. I don't want them on the cartel store for cash, but as a legacy reward for a very high legacy level and at the same cost I could agree to.
  9. I could go along with that. Same price as before and a very high legacy level. But not just as a hand out for a few cartel coins.
  10. Oh, I am very much aware time is money. I work 12 hour days, have a wife and 2 kids, plus am working my way back through grad school in addition to my game time. But I also wanted a white lightsaber, so when they were offered I took time in game, weeks in advance to start working towards one. And I earned it when it was offered as a special promotion. I am not "flaunting" anything. I don't boast about it or sit in fleet chat ridiculing those without one. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking pride in ownership of things you have worked for. And those who worked to get our white crystals have no reason to feel guilty or subjugated by the folks who did not get them for wanting to keep them unique.
  11. You're right. Your argument does sound silly. Its the equivalent of EA releasing something and Blizzard down the street releasing a comparable product. It has no bearing for comparison.
  12. It has nothing to do with superiority. It has the same stats as a dozen others. It has no benefit other than as a visible symbol that i have been committed to the game since release and have earned some visible attributes along the way. And i take pride in *that* facet of having a white crystal. When it came out, it was understood by all present at the time to be a limited time promotion, and I bought it with that understanding, and spent days farming to get it. You're so keen to ask my reasons for wanting one, what are your own?
  13. Well that doesn't make any sense. What sort of a company expects to retain customers if they do not demonstrate a committment to keep their word to those customers to look out for their interests.
  14. This is what happens when you have a generation of kids who all get trophies at little league and are all told they are a winner, then they grow up and think they deserve everything, just by virtue of showing up or wanting it, when they didnt put in the time and effort others did. I have a white crystal, and i am very proud of mine and the work i put in for it. For BW to turn around and hand them out like candy or for sale undermines and trivializes the effort mine took me to get. I firmly agree with the quote above.
  15. Yeah. I would be just fine with no relationship options at all on any species or gender. As to wookies, ogres etc I don't know all the star wars species and don't know or care the difference between a cathar and a ratonga. I figure its a big galaxy and just about anything is probably out there somewhere. The game has giant talking slugs- c'mon.
