  1. I love these magical metrics that people keep referring too, even the developers refer to it in some podcasts! Yet never seen a single post by a developer using actual #'s.... I just have a suspicion that some of these metrics don't exist (no reason they shouldn't/could, but considering the LACK of combat logging(metrics), threat numbers (more metrics) damage meters (wait.... more metrics!)... i just have a feeling they may of FORGOTTEN to include metrics for themselves on the servers considering they SURE forgot em for players.. On the topic of ops/scounds... personally i think the root classes, being smuggler,IA are WAY WAY underplayed, so yes there is a lack of snipers,ops,scounds,gunslingers... I am sure some servers and some guilds have lots! My server has a handful of end game gunslingers and scoundrels (me being a scoundrel myself i tend to notice, because i gotta ninja look from em!), and in Warzones, i don't think i have EVER seen more than 3 IA's facing me, and more commonly just being 1, used to be operatives, but recently i am seeing more snipers (which kill me before i can get close! bastards ) I think there are some serious balance issues between the classes, but i also think the "skills" of the class are selling it and creating the huge imbalances between class a,b,c,d and also between republic and empire. I mean who wouldn't wanna shoot lightning from their fingers vs throwing little pebbles.. hehe
  2. UGHHHHH yeah the bosses all doing it in 4man flash points is nuts!!! i will be behind the group stealthed, and suddenly he is targeting me for stealth.. the stealth detection range needs to be at LEAST the same size as his aggro radius...
  3. lets try this again! considering my 1st post was removed for apparently threatening either you or fanboys (not sure which! *rolls eyes*) i'll avoid the sarcasm this time, seems forum na err mods can't read that The guild i belong too has discusses server mergers for awhile, and saddly after 15 years of playing MMO's i can tell you server mergers are NOT coming any time soon because the parent company is EA, they are a good 6 months+ out. What they WILL do though and i wouldn't be surprised to see this shoved in, in a hurry into 1.2 patch is server transfers, if they are "thinking ahead" *prays*, they will throw in servers transfers and then play the old donkey and the carrot game of giving incentives to empires players to move to "low empire pop" servers and republic players incentives to move to "low republic pop" servers.... Saddly the "incentives" are the issue, there isn't much the can't offer level 50's xp bonuses, so they would have to offer valor bonuses or maybe legacy bonuses... Maybe an increased credit drop rate or item drop rate or something might work too... Really wish valor was more like "realm points" were back on DAOC, that was always a good way to give incentives to balance server populations, and honestly SWTOR needs some SERIOUS server population balancing between empire/republic sides, and they don't have a whole lot of "carrots" they can dangle to draw people in

I think the server is deciding which enemy it thinks you should be attacking! that is what TAB does *rofl* drives me nuts sometimes, i think the bug in the code is it is using your "current" target as the "point" to determine the next nearest.. so once you get off target and it bounces far away sometimes it can ping pong awhile before moving back close to you.. often hitting esc a few times to clear target then hitting tab immediately picks up the closest target to you.

(dunno if anyone else responded to this already) Do NOT use force cloak, vanish, rescuse etc etc do not use any "detaunt" type moves, or the lightning balls will randomly retarget someone else making it confusing as hell. it is best just to nut up and run into it asap. the rest of what you listed though yeah the worest being the "tossed" around right before the end of stage 2, and that person being deadmeat, and also the new "feature" of soa going ape **** random on aggro on stage 3... also we have had a few columns miss him when they even passed through his body, (but that is minor compared to not being able to control his target in phase 3) Oh btw got him down to 3% and he did the old "reset" trick. I think they "kinda" fixed that, we had tanked mind trapped several times and he didn't reset, but this time in phase 3, 2 people got mind trapped and i think when tank was mind trapped he then tried to switch to the SECOND mind trapped person, and so he reset...
  6. What better way to keep people raiding though reason i mentioned it is because THAT is how i would program it myself if i was in charge! It is a great idea from a "keep em coming back for more" standpoint just make sure the end users never figure it out I don't really think that is the case, but wouldn't surprise me it IS a good idea , if i had to take a shot in the dark, they might (instead of a RNG) use a system based off perhaps who loots, who created instance could be op leader or who zoned in first no clue. I have already seen some "bizarre" behavior with people appear in different instances when invited in the middle of a raid as people as swapped in/out often resulting in having EVERYONE zone out and come back. We have already seen the bizarre behavior of the RNG and the PvP bags, something seem really wonky with the "RNG" in this game, maybe it is based off the original Pentium chips that can't do math right (old school reference!)
  7. Was wondering if someone from our guild would speak up! This issue seems programed in read this thread there is a lot we run with XXX but always get YYY gear, I really suspect this is NOT a RNG issue, because it seems WAY too "sticky" to be random at all. I would love if people would start taking know of who "owns" the instance or perhaps the first class to zone in, or the class that started the OPS group, it could also be the person that 1st loots the chest too. i can't believe it would be "smart" (dumb!) enough to base the drops on the total group makeup, i bet it is something easier like the 1st to zone in, or the ops leader, or MOST LIKELY the one that opens the chest! too bad i know that the dev's would never release this info, especially if it was DESIGNED to slow down the gearing of people so they stay around longer.
  8. reach in rear, withdraw numbers, give them as evidence that opinion is true.. you score! i love PvP, and i agree we were killing people too fast, but they nerfed us for PvE too, and all bosses are already "enrage timer" races.. all they have accomplished is already taken a weak "long fight" dps class and made it worse with the armor penetration nerf, think how many times you use your blaster volley skill and how much damage your losing now off that... sorry i still think this is nothing but PvP QQ winning in the end, was a damage reduction needed perhaps, but all they have done is guarantee there is going to be even MORE QQ because you can now stunlock someone 4.5 seconds (if they don't have CC breaker) and at LEAST 3.5 seconds if they DO have CC breaker! they made what i think about 75% of the QQ even worse! we are going to be known 100% as a stunlock and kill class.. lame honestly
  9. 17 more days of service, canceled here too.. I UNDERSTAND if there was a PvP issue, but beyond the QQing (on both sides) and the videos (on both sides that didn't prove jack), i saw no hard evidence, no damage meters, no combat log, no release of numbers from developers, NOTHING just one quote "was making faster kills then intended" but in the end you nerfed both PvE and PvP damage (i suspect due to lazy coding and not being able to separate it out which we ALL know is possible due to certain skills not working on players!) Scoundrels and operatives are now i suspect the WEAKEST pure DPS class for boss fights, for trash mobs i suspect we are just fine because we are "burst" dps, but for extended boss fights (most have a 6 minute or so enrage timer) we are now i suspect one of the weakest links for our intended roll (DPS) we already were the weakest healer in more than four man raids due to our aoe heals not hitting everyone (unlike sages who can heal/HOT the whole party)... so now both rolls suck for scoundrels, i dunno about operatives, but i am wondering if going into the dirty fighting and being a DOTTER might make us decent enough to still be considered "DPS" in a boss fight.

What is your skill rotation?? i am a scoundrel but only like 13 or 14 points in scrapper (the same as your concealment tree i believe).. i see you consistently doing 4k 3k 4k (along with the dots and such) what are you using for the 2nd 4k hit? i know 1st is your opening shot, 2nd is your rear 2nd weapon hit (called back blast for scounds, i think it is backstab for ops?) but i have no idea what your 2nd 4k hit is... After seeing (FINALLY!) this is a 50 vs 50 battleground AND from the operatives point of view and knowing his expertise etc etc... i wonder if all that extra damage is simply from the 50% armor penetration, with my spec i have to TRY hard to get just the 2.5k damage medal using shoot first (opening stealth hit) and that is at 10% expertise if i pop my surge adrenal (15 seconds) and my surge/crit relic i usually can get 3k if i hit a light armor target with no bubble/protection up. anyways i was curious what 3 skills you were using, all 3 seem to use your 2nd weapon (the vibro blade) but as a scoundrel i only have 2 good skills that use my shotgun and 1 30% root (that doesn't do much dps at all) otherwise most of my skills use a blaster... btw only other thing i would of love to of seen in that video is some of the end results from those matches.. i saw in the chat spam you breaking 300k damage once at least..

FEED THE TROLL this list is umm heck pretty much EXACTLY backwards Accept remove all buffs i honestly don't think ANY class at 50 needs a buff, there is no class i "laugh" at when facing them, only one i am confused on is sniper, i hear TONS of people saying they are weak, and buff them yet i get shot for 4k by snipers when they are 30M away... so.. kinda confused (i guess as a scoundrel, the only prob is they can do that twice more before i can close on em, where as most others have a distance closer)

Only reason i don't wanna see this implemented is due to the Ilum level 10-20 Chest Bots, if you go pvp flagged and stand in front of them (where the chest should be) they will click and attack you, due to the bot clicking over and over and over where the chest should be. Yes i have spent time screwing up all the bots in ilum that i can find (odd on my server there are NO republic bots on ilum but upwards of 5 empire bots at times).. yeah i know everyone will say "but just report the bots!!!!" umm yeah i have.. some for 2+ weeks and guess what? yeah they are still there.. some just got smarter and apparently the bot can even log in/out now on a timer too (( I am really disappointed at how hacked/botted parts of this game are already and i have heard little feedback from bioware on it. If ya odn't believe me on bots/hacks just google it, when someone else posted about it i was stunned at the stuff that came up and it explained SOOOO much in PvP warzones (with people warping around i thought it was lag!!) (( anyways total side note i know, but if they remove the auto flagging for attacking someone i can't piss the chest farmers off anymore (it is most fun when their level 50 shows up to try and rez them and gets flagged too!)

  14. THAT needs to be stopped.. thankfully no one on my server has exploited it yet, but i love how CSR's replied and said that was a legit play style/method what a load of ****..
  15. yanking friends/foes i understand.. knocking back i understand, though that seems buggy a few times on the ramp i have been knocked back and FLEW back almost all the way to the middle! like i three me at a odd angle because of ramp.. I don't like how you can jump at an enemy with the ball, i have seen so many scores that way with no way to prevent it (except for smugglers going into crouch/prone mode), the rest though honestly i see no problem if you can line up for yanks, it is no different than lining up for a pass, or standing in front of the person they wanna pass too and blocking it.. but using an enemy to "jump" ahead is silly....
