And its for PvE i forgot to write that

Hi i have reached Level 50 just a couple of hours ago. And My question is how do i gear now? I have read that recruit pvp gear is ok when you are new Level 50 and want to start the first HM Flashpoints. Is it ok when you are a sawbone? Or do i need to gear up any other way? I am new to this kind of games so any help will be helpful. Thanks for you answers
