  4. Would someone please explain to me one thing about the transfers: What happens to all the origin servers? Currently there are transfers from really low pop servers to the already pretty big servers. Of course this will lead to even lower origin population servers. What is the point of keeping this servers? I am asking this primarily because there is now a considerably large population across all servers of inactive accounts. Most of them are gone for good, but there are still some that consider coming back for various reasons (if new content arrives, when the summer is over etc.). Essentially there are 3 options: 1. Keep current transfers open for free as long as inactive characters/accounts are kept (that is if such a autodelete for inactivity does exist) 2. After the transfer phase these dead servers will be deleted. 3. These dead servers exist on and everybody returning to the game on these servers will be stranded there or must use paid transfers (if these are implemented in the future) So what i really, really dont get is why the current origin servers are not merged with the destination servers? That would be soooo much easier. Guild banks would be transferred automatically and returning players would be welcomed on a well populated server and still in his old guild (if he wasnt kicked) instead of a dead wasrteland of a server.
  5. How is learning (and therefore doing the FP multiple times) the FP improving a terrible itemization? How do you justify tionese crystal (they have been worthless in the other HMs as well) drops as "well worth it"? By the time you learned the FP well enough to clear it in less than an hour you wont need anything from there (except maybe for the weekly). I have been through this FP twice now and there was not a single drop which i would consider useful for me. It was mostly the same for my group and most items have been greeded for companions, money or disassembly. Clearing EV HM is easier than this and in terms of items far more rewarding. This is the imbalance i am criticizing. Also, i dont want any nerfs to the bosses or the trash. I dont want less trash. But i dont want a double punishment for a wipe which results in a useless timesink.
  6. So? But you will wipe occasionally (and often in your first runs, as you should). Whats the problem to let you respawn right before the boss? Always running back huge distances is just a useless timesink, which is clearly nit required in this FP. And the bonus boss being worthless, because of poor loot design for the FP is a major complaint.
  7. I absolutely agree with the OP. Lost Island is a great FP which actually challenges you to clear it. Still i got 2 complaints about it: (this is als about hard mode) 1. It is too long. Clearing it with several wipes (which are normal if you play a difficult FP for the first time) takes way over 2 hours. The fact that you can not do it in several sessions but always all over again makes it frustrating. If you do the first 2 bosses you dont wanna waste the effort and its a huge let down if you have to cancel the rest because some ppl dont have anymore time. Possible solutions or things that could help: - Shorter walks after wipe, or even better revive right in front of the boss - Allow speeders inside the FP - a OPTIONAL lockout, just like the OP lockouts (based on bosses killed) but resetable (if you wanna do it with a new group again) 2. The gear drops are terrible. Mini-bosses drop Tionese crystals? Bosses drop Columi? Players which could benefit from these drops are undergeared for this instance in the first place. Granted if you know the mechanics well it might be possible to take some non-columi alts in the instance, but thats super hard mode then (just think of the platform boss with a sub-columi healer). The only thin in line is the rakata chest pice from the end boss. Of course this a followup problem of the former itemization (obtaining Rakata gear is much easier than Lost Island). I hope future content is much more in line with the new hard modes and this is just a transition phase to a more rewarding loot/effort (effort != time, but effort == difficulty) itemization. I think each Lost Island boss should drop 1-2 black hole commendations instead of tionese crystals (except of course the minibosses, as the first miniboss could be farmed way too easily)
  8. So? You die on TYTHON a lot? lol 1. You can spot if someone is about to explode and got enough time to avoid it (he is stunned in that time) 2. Infected? Big deal, ignore it and as soon as you reach stage 2 of the disease, do a suicide at a choosen time (no repair cost). With the 5 DNA samples you get upon death you can get enough money to buy 5-50 vaccinces (depends on your server), which should suffice. This is really a non issue, some of the most unfounded whining i ever witnessed...
  9. From the latest 1.2 patchnotes update: So they will finally fix it. Its amazing what can be accomplished in 6 short months...
  10. You are aware that your HP and your damage gets scaled to Top-Level? Meaning you should roughly have the same HP and damage/heal output to other players if your gear level is on par with your actual level. Only significant difference is that higher level characters may have additional skills and more talent points in their skill specs. Basically l2play. I really like the passing system as it allows things like intercepting the ball and supports real team play (meaning the receiving player must also think and participate) Its a warzone, each team has the same amount of players... Huh? First you are saying on your server are more imperials than republicans and now you end up playing it too much being a republican? Doesnt make sense, the bigger faction actually plays HB much more often because its the only warzone currently supporting 2 teams of the same faction. Learn2play, especially learn to pass. Dont destroy HB by taking out complexity, a lot of players are enjoying challenges. I hope BW manages cross-server warzones and opting-in or -out for specific warzones (so you can choose not to play HB) soon enough before they give in to players like you whining about how "hard" HB is.
  11. While the OP made some mistakes (you should have been able to to Talal V or FE, but you are not to blame for that), he has a very valid point. The management of normal and hard mode FPs is very very bad and its easy to get confused about it. I have struggled myself at the beginning when i hit 50 and experience that other players need to be instructed how to properly enter a HM FP if there is a story quest attached (Ilum, FE, D7, Boarding Party, Foundry). This is one of the many things that are clearly just quick and dirty implemented in this game
  12. Sorry, but your post is ridiculous. If you group needs 2 hours to complete the false emperor with stacking up 70k repair bills (on what i assume is non epic-gear) YOU are obviously doing something very very wrong. I did with some guildmates the false emperor when we hit 50. We chose to do normal mode first, not for the loot but to have a relaxed evening see the entire FP (i think we killed every mob group, explored every corner and of course did not skip the cutscenes) before we do it on HM. Took us roughly 1,5 hours with 2-3 deaths (mostly kicks due lack of mob knowledge). if you and you mate cant do better that 2 hours of constant wiping i strongly suggest to get alot better at the game, reroll to experience more leveling or cancel your account. There seems to be absolutely no suitable content for you on lvl 50 at this time.
  13. Yeah, well thats kind of the problem, how to position the raid to avoid a cleae of or than 2 people if there is no telling where its save to be. I got hit by that damn cleave on the other side of the fighting area, while killing an add. Do you mean that you do not take any tanks with you (and substitute 2 DDs after the fight) or that the tanks will specc DD for this fight only?
