  1. I agree that this was a good move on their part, and I thank them for it. However, I believe the community as a whole forced their hand with the number of people that unsubbed and complained about RWZ being removed from 1.2 at the last minute. They know very well that people that leave are less likely to come back and stay, AND people that continue to play regularly are more likely to continue to play.
  2. If you don't have a lvl 50 the removal of ranked WZs doesn't affect you right now. I applaud Bioware for this move. Those with lvl 50s were the most pissed and now they have given us free time to wait and let them finish the ranked WZs so that they are suitable for release. Otherwise, there would be continued backlash and a very large number of players quitting the game. I say good job.
  3. If you search for Star Wars the Old Republic on change.org there is a *thing that can't be named or post will get deleted* about Bioware's screw up.
  4. All it takes is one email, one memo from anyone on the dev team saying, this is most likely not going to be ready or needs more time. As for damages, yes give me my $15 and the other million or so people their $15. $15 million is enough to send a message to the company. It's not like they are coming out with rateds next week. So it's going to take weeks of development. To believe they didn't know it would take several more weeks of development before the announcement yesterday is pretty naive.
  5. Doesn't matter whether they intended to or not. When you screw up, you pay for it.
  6. That is the contractual agreement, but even disclaimers don't absolve you of responsibility for the things you promise to give people. They did it verbally (Guild Summit), in writing (the multiple posts that said Rated WZ will be coming with game update 1.2, and through advertising materials (videos for 1.2)
  7. No, but I don't think a class action lawsuit is beyond reach because: "The development studio Bioware and Production company EA Games misled consumers to purchase the game: Star Wars: The Old Republic, renew subscriptions to the game, and continue to pay subscriptions for the game by promising to develop and provide major functional features, namely Ranked Warzones, to the live game servers in an update to the game called "Patch 1.2" which were not delivered with the update."
  8. And they are routinely sued for this kind of work and pay out huge chunks of cash for similarly mishandling work.
  9. I implore you to start a business that builds houses, then announce that you are going to provide decks with every house that you build, advertise that you are building decks with every house that you build and get people to sign up and pay for just the house, not the deck and tell them you will build the deck soon. Then at the last minute tell them you won't be building their deck for an undisclosed amount of time. Tell me you wont get sued for that.
  10. http://www.change.org/petitions/biow...-republic-game I'm sure they will probably take this down, but sign the petition and keep posting this link in as many places as possible.
  11. Just like in every agreement you make, you can be held responsible for not providing services which you have agreed to give.
  12. http://www.change.org/petitions/bioware-ea-games-provide-compensaton-to-subscribers-of-the-star-wars-the-old-republic-game I'm sure they will probably take this down, but sign the petition and keep posting this link in as many places as possible.
  13. The Devs screwed up big time. They agreed to communicate well with the community and work with us to create the best gaming experience. Releasing a statement like that less than 12 hours before a patch that has been anticipated for months is not good communication. There are a lot of people that renewed their subscriptions for Ranked WZ and now they feel misled and betrayed. Many of us who have been playing and patiently waiting for Ranked WZ feel abused and cheated. Johnson and Johnson was just ordered by a court to pay $1.2 Billion for deceptive marketing. I don't think a class action lawsuit would be a far stretch in this situation.
  14. You are killing this game with your stupidity. Although healers keep each other alive, they can only do so while being pretty immobile and doing next to no dps.
  15. Only picked up TK wave to get Kinetic Collapse. I guess I didn't clarify, this is a healer PvP build. So, still no need for tidal force and would much rather have Kinetic Collapse, for me and my allies.
