  1. The times I have seen this recently the server is having issues and ends up going offline when they reboot it to clear the issue up.
  2. Actually it is mentioned just not explicitly by the OP and I happen to agree with the OP that going back to your ship or changing zones isn't always ideal to cause a crew skill refresh which also doesn't answer the question as to why we can't have a button that does the same thing?
  3. Seeing the same symptom. Hanging at the loading screen.
  4. I can't believe this post is more than 18 months old and no replies! Is this really not an option? This is probably one of the number one quality of life improvements that could be done in this game as the current mechanics for crew skills leave a lot to be desired.
  5. Thanks for your input. Well I guess at least from the player side it seems like we are resigned to things like this not happening. That is too bad, this game has a lot of potential....
  6. I think you have a good point here and I think my proposed system fits it nicely since it could give potential updates to all classes without having to add a lot of content. Thanks for the feedback...
  7. Yes your reply does help and again this would be optional and really for those players who feel from an RP perspective that their character should eventually end up on the other side I find it really disappointing that this idea may be a non-starter. I really thought it might be a way to add content with minimal investment on Bioware's part, which given what appears to be the bad shape subs are in right now and the plans to go F2P, options that Bioware needs to move this game forward. So I guess I'll just have to hold out hope that the powers that be change their minds.
  8. Yes I like this idea, this could be a good alternative if Bioware is indeed against faction switching, but what about actual switching sides? Is that not something players are interested in?
  9. Not really a faction switching thread in disguise at all. It is a faction switching thread. I didn't realize Bioware was against this sort of mechanic in the game Is everyone against faction switching? I kind of thought it would be a logical progression for some characters that are fully aligned opposite their current faction and might be an easy way for new content to be added, or at least sort of expand story line content for some with out adding a lot of new content, that's all.... Thanks for the reply....
  10. Hey All, I have had this idea rolling around in my head for awhile now that I thought might add some replay value to SWTOR. My idea is that at some point after reaching max alignment as either a light-sided or dark-sided character you would be given the option to cross over to the opposite faction. This of course means that it would only be available to Republic players who are full dark-side and Imperial players that are full light-side. Once your character has defected to the other side my idea also included the new faction's class story for your character's equivalent class to be opened up with some minor story content added to keep your character's story in context. So for example if you played a dark jedi knight guardian, you would then become a sith warrior juggernaut and could then complete that class's story line. I have mixed feelings on if a level reset (maybe back down to level 10?) would accompany this, but it seems like that might be the logical course of action (if this option is given after completing your current character's story) as long as it comes with some sort of perks for already completing that content. Of course this would be entirely optional for character's in the position to take advantage of it and would be there for those who enjoy playing the story content enough to re-level a character back to 50. It seems to me like this wouldn't be an extensive mechanic to add (but what do I know, i am no developer) and could potentially add a way for developers to more easily add solo player story content without having to invest a lot in new cut scenes and new dialog since most of that could be reused from existing content, but at the same time it would add a new avenue to where story content could be introduced. So that's the basic idea I have had for a little while know. I'd like to hear what you all think as players or developers and as well as any additional ideas or changes to my idea you might have. Thanks for your time. P.S. Constructive feedback only please!
  11. Not sure if this qualifies as broke, but the GTN search is funky now. You have to specify rarity or the search button won't activate.....
  12. I was referring to the bug were stats from earpieces and implants were not applying correctly to companions. I checked Doc out this morning who had the problem pre patch and after re-equiping once the bug seems to be gone for me. Hope everyone else has the same results as this was one of the more annoying ones!!!
  13. So after the 5/1 patch looks like this bug is now fixed. Anyone else confirm?
  14. I'll pipe in and agree that the randomness is annoying. I have alts and didn't get any I can use on any of them, but mainly all I wanted was one for Kira, but no dice! Make it so we can swap these with each other even if we can't sell them!!!
  15. I've been struggling with this question too, did you ever work out what stats work best for Doc? Anyone know which stats work best on Kira?
