  1. Yes well when I've already wasted a whole day downloading this game on steam and trying to get it working, I don't feel like wasting another day doing the same thing on the normal launcher. Not everyone has a fast connection or hours to waste fixing issues that shouldn't even be there in the first place. The real "solution" would be for this lazy dev team to actually fix bugs with the steam version of the laucnher instead of just staying silent on the issue and letting the users work it out and fix it. Thanks for telling me about the name change, I guess. Doesn't change the fact that it still isn't a good look for this company. Just glad I didn't sub to the game again first. Dodged a bullet there.
  2. Done some digging since these forums seem rather slow. In the log there is this error ERROR Failed to transmit agreeement. Resp: 500 Turns out it may be the game failing to save the EULA agreement setting which it asks you to agree with and tick. I found a possible fix but it involves downloading the game through the regular launcher and copy and pasting the file from there after you accept the EULA, but honestly I don;t think I want to go to all the bother for something that should work in the steam version. Really not a good look Bioware, can't even get something as simple as the EULA agreement to save on steam version.
  3. Right first off, wouldn;t allow me to make a thread in general because I'm not subbed grrr. Just downloaded and installed the game on steam, not a new player but returning after a long break. Normally works fine. But this time I'm always stuck on the loading screen. Can't even get to the character selection screen. I am currently using windows 11. Does anyone know how to solve this? If not I'll just have to uninstall the game and never bother with it again. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  4. Not everyone can spend all day playing, so it's not that simple, is it. I don't understand why it has to delete the mission from the log, just keep the mission there to save me from having to trek back to pick it up again. That wouldn't be so bad on it's own, but as I've stated already, it also puts the quick travel icon on cooldown which is 60 mins or so. It's just pointless, why does it do it? All it does it needlessly inconvenience the player.
  5. I like to play the game around this time, and I'm normally playing heroics now. And when the daily reset happens now the game just deletes any heroic I'm currently on and forces me to go back to pick the mission up again, all progress is reset and the timers on the quick transport for those missions I had have a long cooldown on them. It's just annoying, please fix this, it's frustrating and unnecessary.
  6. I agree the new UI is bad, but in my opinion that is not even the worse aspect of this so called expansion. The lack of stuff to do and new content is by far the most serious issue. Simply grinding out new currencies for new gear in old content does not make an expansion. There is no meat on the bone!
  7. Yeah this just happened to me, found sometime today to just try and relax and do some heroics. So annoying, then I go back to pick the missions back up again and the quick travel had 60 min timer on it. So I just gave up and closed the game. Just another reason to hate this new "expansion" can't even relax and do heroics anymore.
  8. I don't see any crates either. There are meant to be crates?
  9. Yeah I just came back to the game and this expansion was so bad I canceled the fresh subscription just a few days later. Normally I leave it running for at least 6 months while I play and absorb all the new stuff which an expansion normally offers. But after completing the story in 2 hours I'm just left with trying to piece together the horrible and confusing new gearing method, but worse still trying to gear up playing old stale content. One new flashpoint and a short story is not an expansion. You need to provide us with way more content to chew through if you expect us to gear up and grind a butt load of new currency. At least make the grind fun, ***.
  10. You get another more fitting word to describe the whole experience.
  11. I just canceled my subscription after only just paying for a month. Will just play this month I paid for and then go preferred for awhile until I feel they have earned my money. To be honest, I feel ripped off paying £9 for 2 hours of lackluster story and a huge headache re sorting out my tool bars and trying to get my head around all the dumb changes.
  12. Gearing seems a little confusing to me atm, so far I've gathered I need to buy 320 green gear from vendors or find it in flashpoints etc. And then upgrade that green gear to something higher using those annoying multiple currency things that I seem to be collecting slowly. But my question is this, am I meant to wear that green 320 gear over my pimped up gold 306 gear which seems to be much better, or just keep it in my bags until I've upgraded it fully? So far the "upgrades" seem really weak and I'm sort of scratching my head wondering what the best way to move forward is. Thanks for any tips.
