  1. lol this kid musta been g@ng r@ped by operatives with no remorse, so angry, l2p kid. nice editing on the vid brah
  2. If this was a single player game I'd give it - 8/10 Since this is a single player game that tries to be an MMO - 5/10 ( Just too many broken aspects in the endgame in it's current state. ) In a few months time the rating might be adjusted depending on where Bioware takes this horse.
  3. Nautolans look pretty cool! Some sort of evolved octopus humanoid-ish creature. I have a strange feeling that even if Bioware did implement that race it would have the same body model as a human and make it utterly generic. Though I would like to know why they chose to implement the humanoids that are almost identical to regular humans.
  4. In most games, the species you play will be some sort of humanoid variation and that is understandable. Yet in those games most of the different species will vary in one form or another. For example, size, posture, and design will vary - think World of Warcraft, yes I know many people hate on the game, but the races are all unique and different in their own respect. It gives the game a soul. Do the Orc's and Human's have the exact same body model? Do the elves and taurens, gnomes and Trolls? Each of them has it's own style, makes the game less generic. I hope in the future installments / expansions or patches they add some life to the different races or add one that is unique instead of a humanoid that shares the same model across the board. Look at Warhammer and DAoC - look at Conan.. Well maybe not Conan. LOOK AT GW2 customization. This game had such a large budget but most of the game's aspects are cheap / lazy / copied and the strange thing is I'm actually enjoying the game because this game has something those games didn't - SOME SORT OF END GAME. Doesn't mean I'm not pissed off about some of the aspects, it could have been great but the developers played it safe. No original bone in their bodies. Let me sum up the different playable races in Star Wars, and I'm not that informed on the SWTOR lore, but I do know that I've seen Wookies and Ewoks, why can't we play as those? Republic race choses: [Republic Races] Blind Human (Miraluka) Floppy-Brain Pouched Humanoid (Twi'lek) Horned Humanoid w/ Human Skin Color (Zabrak) Green Human (Mirialan) [Empire Races] Human / Cyborg ( I don't consider the Cyborg a race. ) Futurama Zoidberg Humanoid/Lobster (Sith) Horned Humanoid w/ Reddish Skin Color (Zabrak) Floppy-Brain Pouched Humanoid (Twi'lek) The "I Am Legend" Zombies + Xerxes Human (Rattatataaki) Blue Man Group + Avatar Human (Chiss) Now some of these races would be unique if the body models were slightly different but I don't know, maybe it's just the lore of Star Wars that everything looks similar. Even the faces all look similar in all the different races. What do you guys think? Do you like the playable races? Wouldn't you like to see some uniqueness in races released in future expansions?
  5. The armor designs in this game are all bad, some of the worst I've seen. Maybe it's due to the fact that, outside of cut-scenes, the armor's all have low resolution textures. I play Empire and I think the Republic armor looks better. There are those on Republic that think Empire armor looks better. Grass always seems greener until you reach the other side and realize that all armor designs are pretty bad. Empire PvP Armor: Assassin = Looks like a bird suit. Ye I really enjoy fighting people looking like a damn chicken. Though I have to admit the Assassin PvE armor looks much worse. (Shoulder pads, really?) Why would anyone wear such clunky / ugly armor. Sorceror = Almost identical to the bird suit but has a brain, instead of feathers. (Bird brain?) Maybe its some kind of inside joke. Bounty Hunter = The BH armor looks decent with the exception of the pig-face / fleshy helm, not sure what that's about. Marauder = I kinda like the look of this armor, one of the few in the game that actually looks bad ***. Juggernaut = Looks decent as well, not a fan of the helm. Operative = Looks silly, why would a stealth / espionage type class wear so much metal? The helm looks like a safety helmet. Sniper = Decent, but lacks imagination. - - - From the armor model's that I've seen on Republic side, they all look fairly decent, but they all seem plain and simple. Overall I would like to see better designs for future sets - and get rid of the annoying shoulder-pads, only women from the 70's-80's wear shoulder pads.
  6. Is it worth it to get the Ilum 5x buff for the extra 200 valor at the end of the match? Does it even work? I can't seem to notice any difference in valor at the end of the match. Can anyone confirm this if it works or not? Ty.
  7. Any DPS class will suffer vs organized teams and guard lol - if I guard a good healer he can tank several people by himself, even operatives - guard + taunt are too strong atm.
  8. I am a hybrid tank build, 11/30 - with energize and 50% shock crit damage - I stay in tank stance and 2x regular slash (to proc energize) + shock and maul when my 50% amp up. It's just frustrating fighting against a class where I have to pop everything just to stay alive and keep him at bay - even their out of stealth damage is pretty high, 2-3k a hit - I gotta do 2x hits for 6-1k and 1 hit for 2-3k. A good operative will always destroy someone 1v1, even a sin - they seem to have an ability which makes them take little damage and they can heal themselves - and we've only got the potions. I don't know why people say they are a glass cannons, far from it - with their defensives and heal power they are quite formidable - in the right hands. Even bad players can destroy on the class because of the insanely strong opener.
  9. I play an assassin and I love my class, I have the ability to defend and do good sustained damage - nothing too bursty except for when they get low and I can execute. I have full Champion gear and over 480 expertise and am always playing in tank stance with a hybrid shock build. So I'm normally pretty hard to take down... But whenever an Operative or Scoundrel jumps me, and I don't have my trinket, they ALWAYS drop my health down below 40% in 2-3 seconds, and after that I can survive for 3-4 seconds more before they tear me apart - is this normal? I would understand if I was under-geared or a lowbie but I'm not - I have almost 6000+ armor over 15'000 hps - how is it that any class can drop over half my hps in just a few seconds? Am I the one doing something wrong here? Even if I do pop my trinket they just vanish and open up on me again doing insane amounts of damage. Any tips would be helpful, or should I just bend over and take it? ( vs equally or greater geared operatives/scoundrels ) I can take on anything else except for certain tank classes and op/smugg.
  10. So my main is an assassin and it feels like like a mix of WoW's Rogue / Shaman class, but it is still slightly different and unique in it's own way. I tried out my friend's juggernaut the other day and I thought I'd be overwhelmed because I had to run an instance on a class I've never played / tanked with before. So I log in and after a few seconds I realize that all the abilities seem familiar somehow, and then it comes to me -the class is almost a MIRROR copy of the Warrior class in WoW lol - took me a few seconds to adjust the bars and I was good to go! Not saying it's a bad thing, but really who designed the juggernaut? It's like they cut a lot of corners with class design - regardless I got bored of the class fairly quickly since I've played it in WoW before. Now I've only played Juggernaut and Assassin, so my question to you guys what other classes feel similar in design to other classes in other games you've played? The imperial agent looks like a unique class.
  11. Isn't SWTOR a futuristic version of WoW with voice overs? Not saying its a bad game, but when you call WoW terrible, you're calling this game terrible because both games are pretty much identical - most of the classes in SWTOR feel like the clunkier versions of the WOW classes / BGs / dungeons - everything has a "WoW" feel to it. Not saying I hate SWTOR, but it is a clone.
  12. Would be awesome if you guys added the ability to purchase a secondary slot for talents - Having to respec constantly is a real drain on credits, especially when you're leveling up with the cost of repairs / abilities and whatnot. Maybe add the ability to purchase dual talent spec @ 40 because at the higher level instances it becomes quite hard to run instances when you're healing as DPS spec or tanking with DPS build!
  13. 200k is a big amount for a negligible change in speed, basically like flushing your credits down the toilet.
  14. I guess I should have checked the speeds of the advanced speeders b4 I went and spent 200k credits on the skill. The advanced speeders are only 10% faster then the regular ones, I expected them to be twice as fast as the normal speeder. -_- I'm not angry or anything, this is a warning post to other players! Do not buy the advanced speeder training, not until they tweak the speed of the advanced speeders.
