Well, I guess Ill have grind out and get that 5th piece so I can replace the helmet and no lose the 4 piece bonus. Thanks for the quick answer.

Long story short, I HATE the look of the Columi trooper helmet. I have kept every orange helmet I had in the bank and have one I would like to use instead I dont want to lose my set bonus though as I am still working on gear. If I strip out the mods in the Coumi helmet will I still keep the set bonus? Thanks in advance for any answers you may have.

An excellent question. I was thinking mainly in PvP when you want to nuke somebody down efficently and maintain enough ammo regen to do it again. PvE I have a pretty good rotation setup IMHO. Having just hit 40 and getting Demo round I was using this rotation in PvP to maximize kills and ammo regen. GR x 3. FA. Demo, HIB. Now I've heard that I should add GR X 2 after demo to maximize HIB, but to be honest the above rotation killed almost everything or got it so low a few Hammer shots or teammates finished em off it I did'nt. I know in PvP that one has to be fluid dependant upon the situation but it seemed like the above was pretty good at eating folks alive.

If I may ask since I just hit 40 what do you consider to be the correct rotation? I usually hit 2-3 Grav rounds, followed by FA (if a COF procs), Demo, Hammer,(for Ammo Regen) and HIB Ive been tyring to find a "good" rotation for a while so any advice would be appreciated.

Title says it all looking for a lil guidance on which tree to go into. I do a mix of PvP and PvE. So far not a lot of instancing but looking to jump into that. Any advice is appreciated.

Yup got him last night after completing the Class Quest on Nar Shadda. I skipped all the quests there except the class ones. My Smuggler I generally use for PvP and farming and I wanted to be able to send all 3 out while I que for PVP. Thanks to everyone.

I just left Taris having finished my Class quest there and thought I would get Bowdarr after I finished. Currently level 23. I know on my Trooper when I finished my Class quest on Taris I got my 2nd companion (well 3rd I guess after the protocol droid) and figured the same rule applied. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Yeah, I REALLY noticed that. I got the tropper up to 13 and noticed the difference between Mortar volley and DFA. It is there. Not so much of an issue in questing, but in PVP it is bad. Also noticed the Full auto problem as well. Sometimes it just seems like its not going off. As to the person who said I was trolling about it being a "mobile" DPS I certainly was not. Maybe because Im not 50 but I run around constantly on my BH shooting the instant cast missles and rail shot when it procs. Once Im clear I'll do the channled blaser shot (cant think of the name at the moment) While certainly not in the vein of an operative or the smuggler version of it, its not like you have to sit there, you can do damage while moving, get clear, and find a spot to open up.

I'm thinking of taking up a Trooper on the Republic Server I play on because ive been enjoying the hell out of my BH Mercenary on the Empire server. Now what I love about the Mercenary is that he is a highly mobile DPS platform IMHO. A lot of instant cast missles and such with good AOE damage spells as well. Since the Trooper/Commando is the mirror can I expect the same from its skill set? Someone said they were a "Turret" and I dont know if I would like that.

Is there a way to have more than 2 Action bars displayed? Now that I'm getting up there in levels I have a lot of abilities and dont reallly have room on just 2 bars. Thanks in advance for any answers.
