  1. --not analog speech, computer generated speech. It's not as primitive as it once was, we would NOT all sound like Stephen Hawkings.
  2. --Suggestion: a way to have your text verbalized when you do a /say
  3. --Yes I miss fishing. If we could fish in the Battlezones they might have some usefulness. --But I digress, my main point is that I hoped to be able to play Sabaac with other players, or maybe even checkers (sheesh Ultima Online had checkers, even chess back in the 90's) --Maybe 3D chess? SOMETHING --I'm one of those old school players who actually enjoys the other peeps who play the game, and would like some kind of mechanisms in the game for interaction between folks. --There aren't enough peeps on planets to group with for heroics (some times I'm the only one there). Chat is basically dead. It's lonely in many ways in SWTOR.
  4. ---you miss my point....when I am the only person on a planet, grouping with other peeps is NOT an option....
  5. --also irritating is the looooong time swtor takes to shut down!
  6. --some of you techno guys tell me, would it be a big technical deal to have multiple companions out? --do companions get their "orders" from my computer? or the server?
  7. --Exactly! I would LIKE to do the Heroics....it seems a shame that all that great content is wasted. If I could pull out multiple companions I could do them even when I am the only person on the planet (and yes, I have been...at 11:00 pm)
  8. --Ok, so it's not "massively" multiplayer, and is 99% solo aimed at "casual" Players. I get it --but after going through two planets with zero groups for heroics (due to low population, sometimes I had the planet all to myself) I would like to see: --Let me bring out more than one companion at a time, at least for heroic areas.
  9. --space pvp is attractive to many many peeps. I like your idea. --free flying pvp is possible, my gosh back in the 1990's on ancient technology computers I played a stand alone game called TIE FIGHTER. It had a great story line, and quests, and I don't see why something like that could not be worked into swtor.
  10. ---yes a single player game 98% ---there's a whole demographic out there that likes "social" aspects of mmorpgs, things like SWG player cities, or a better crafting economy where players NEED crafted items. Will this demographic ever be recognized? --another demographic ignored currently is those who want space PVP. Space is a big turn on to many many peeps. --and speaking of space, maybe free flying space quests? If you could have a great stand alone game back in the 1990's on ancient technology computers (TIE FIGHTER) you would think something like that could be worked into a mmorpg.
  11. --sure wish marketing would give us an answer to this question: Who is Ea/Bioware's target market for swtor?? --Really, what are the desired demographic group(s) here? I have a guess.....what do you think? a) must have money to spend, or someone's money to spend b) probably not a big time video console player (eg Halo et al) c) wants faster leveling and easier quests than WOW d) not particularly interested in any social aspects...occasional pugs for instances maybe e) not big on playing with their RL buddies. so....who are these people???
  12. --it didn't work, couldn't drag the group member bars off of my left (vertical) quickslot bar
  13. --swtor is targeted towards todays impatient, illiterate, juvenile first person shooter. --Because of the target market, they level you up so fast you end up bypassing the great content (stories) available in the side quests, and end up just doing your class quest line. --and for those of us who like the social, community aspects possible in mmorpgs, we are not just forgotten but derided. No player cities, and the crafting economy fails as no one NEEDS our crafted items, they just buy them for their twink alts. --Guilds serve no purpose except maybe finding a possible pug member. (if any of your guildies are left). --the space game wouldn't be worth a quarter to play as a stand alone arcade game. --It doesn't have to be so yet I forsee no major additions such as player cities, or player space stations, or ship to ship space pvp.....just a slow process of implementing the patches in the pipeline and the first major $$ expansion...then it's on to Play for Free.....
  14. --they're gone. the mostly contract group who created swtor. --the group still there is for "touch up", maintenance, bug fixes, and is absolutely as small as possible, with bean counters crying they should be cut even more.
