  1. She was drawn with slightly sharper crayons than in pre 4.0 - that is all
  2. I remember getting a free 'OPOD' in game and a free 'Sword in a box' on the forums, good days, good days
  3. To all you guys saying, "I dont wanna play with bads etc", I appreciate your honesty. To those claiming RL issues, sure, occasionally yes, I have 2 young kids myself but isn't it amazing how so many more 'rl issues' pop up on losing teams rather than winning ones...wonder why that is?
  4. I will continue to throw in some dps as and when I can on my sorc/scoudrel/commando heals for all of the reasons that have already been stated in this thread, but also for the following reasons :- -The droid boss in Czerka Labs, one of the most boring long fights in the game, I am defo gonna dps a bit on this one because not too much healing to be done, (providing the dps aren't partial to the electrified water), and ANYTHING to speed it up - same goes for the other long, boring low damage bosses/fights -The healer doing dps is a kind of damage mitigation too, mobs dying/not taking as long to die/being stunned all mitigates immediate, short and long term damage.
  5. I'm with the OP, I've got a scratch and sniff monitor....my god
  6. To all those in this thread stating, 'the only people that don't want damage meters are bads' and 'only terrible players don't want damage meters' and the like, wow, just wow ,that is one of the most deluded views I've seen on these boards for a while. How the hell can you tell how good a player is or isn't via a damage meter? - does said damage meter measure when a 'good' player stays stood in the stupid just so he can finish his channelled AOE to top the damage meters? Does said damage meter measure whether a 'good' player is attacking the right mob(s)? Does said damage meter measure when this 'good' DPS pulls before the tank and over aggro's on mob(s)? All the above are the insane things that have happened, and will continue to happen in MMO's PARTIALLY due to the ego trip of 'topping' a damage meter. Does this make the damage meter a bad thing? No - no it does not, but it brings out the worst in people and MMO'ers, it can sometimes make a perfectly good player do stupid things. And, finally and almost inevitably, this would lead to a scenario very soon after introduction where we would need an 'Omen' threat meter type of thing to negate said stupidity. And then where does it stop? - content developed that needs these tools a-la WoW etc etc etc. Please, give me a better reason for them than 'badz dont wannna haz them'
  7. You make a very, very good point. To be honest I'm not saying I haven't had value from my early purchase of RotHC, or from my unbroken subscription. It just feels a little uncomfortable that someone who may not have contributed a penny to this game in six months is now getting 'a reward', 'a refund' whatever you may like to call it over and above those that have and have been the most 'loyal'.
  8. I never for one second suggested you did only direct your posts at me,however, when you directly quote me surely that is what you are doing? But asking me 'why don't you buy CC's to support the game' at least suggests that I haven't.
  9. What is really baffling me is those arguing against the long term purchasers of RotHC receiving the CC's. If we were, by some miracle to get them how would that in any way harm you? What would it take away from you? What affect would it have on your gaming experience within SWTOR? Some of us are simply asking for parity in terms of the CC's, it costs you guys arguing against us NOTHING if we receive them or not, so could someone please explain to me why you are arguing against it?
  10. It's not about 'wanting' to support the game or not, I HAVE been supporting the game and will continue to do so regardless of this decision. And you know I haven't purchased CC's how exactly?
  11. Of course I agree, that was the entire point of my post, now of course, certain business practices in relation to customer retention and promotions for new customers are fundamentals, but at the same time some are not. An MMO is a quite unique business model in a way because many of the subscribers/players have an almost emotional connection to the game. They have friends in game, they spend many hours improving characters, achieving new things, acquiring new things. When the customer of a bank sees a promotion of '£100 to new current account customers' he or she may think, 'I'd like that', shame. But in an MMO - especially as a subscriber it is different, because of that emotional attachment and because of perceived or not 'unfairness'. In many ways you do have a choice in terms of what you play and what you don't, but if you like an MMO, it is a far greater like than say a bank, an ISP, or virtually any other business I can think of right now. Will all share my opinion on this, no, of course not, but many will. It is this, in my opinion at least, unfairness in terms of BWEA's most long serving and loyal players/customers that is the crux of the issue here.
  12. And keep the analogies coming please, they are very amusing, however, each business model is different to the next, you may not have noticed but this is an MMO not an ISP.
  13. Sorry, but to those of you saying, 'stop complaining, you got to play for 6 months', you are not understanding the situation. I will hazard a guess here, of course the figures are probably wrong, but I will go for fairness. Let's say that 50% of those who have only recently purchased the RotHC are 'new' or 'new-ish' players and subscribers, should these people receive the CC's as the product is going F2P? - yes, yes they should. It's the other, lets say, 50% that concerns me, that would make these people either A) not bothered with buying the expansion or B) people returning to the game, as some in my guild are, who have not been subscribing for the last few months or more. Why should people who have not been supporting the game as a subscriber for the last 3,4,5,6 months get CC's as an in game credit and those that have been supporting as a subscriber not get them? Sure, I've got to play RotHC for six months, but I also paid for that expansion and have been paying a subscription ever since. And please, don't harp up with 'you get coins for subscribing' because so will any subscriber, old or new That is not related to this issue concerning RotHC going F2P or the 'in store' refund being offered to late comers, and those that have not been supporting the game to the same degree as us long term subscribers and early expansion purchasers. In short, BWEA, please don't give preferential treatment to those that have not been loyal over those that have.
  14. Yeah, I'm stoked, cant wait until I have to :- pay 1000 CC's to enter pay 1000 CC's for a ship pay 100 CC's per ship mod pay 10 CC's per missile pay 1 CC per laser shot pay 10,000 CC's to customise my ship colour etc As I say, stoked (sorry, in cynical mode today )
