  1. As mentioned in order to be efficient for when you hit 50 you should exchange them and max out your rated WZ comms and your regular WZ comms. I typically buy the level 20 and level 40 sets from the PvP vendor while leveling. Outside of that the PvP weapons vendor has weapons that you can use WZ comms to buy that have + expertise in them. Buy a bunch of those and rip out the expertise to twink yourself in the 10 - 49 bracket.
  2. This looks like it would fit my play style very well if I can survive without Storm. I've been running a PVP Tank Spec in Combat Tech gear which I'll keep equipped while I try it out tonight. I think it will work beautifully, I already have the keybinds remapped in my head. The slow/root resists and stunned damage reductions I think are going to greatly improve my enjoyment in PvP and I've been looking to do some more damage while still get those protection numbers. EDIT: Do you think taking 2 points in Heavy Stock instead of Re-braced Armor would affect the PvP viability of this build? Also, what is the do you think is the most important out power, surge and crit? The build looks nice with a traited auto-crit and 30% surge bonus so I was thinking stacking power with a balanced amount of surge and crit. Thanks, Confident Hero - Jedi Covenant
  3. You have time, other people have money. Time = Money Why should their money not equal your time? After grinding all the games that you have, you should have developed some skills, class awareness etc... If a fresh 50 bought full WH from the CC you should still melt their face because you've played 1,000 more games than they have. This isn't P2W, it's P2HaveAChanceNot2Lose. If the only victories in gaming you have come from your advantage over your enemy at spawn for the entire match, you're missing out on a lot.
  4. I would give ANYthing, ANYTHING to be able to change my Mercenary to a Powertech at this point. Seriously Bioware, $15 bucks for it right now MAKE IT HAPPEN. Actually I don't really care. I have 4 days left on my sub and that's when head start for Tera starts anyway. What a coincidence.
  5. This. Why would you want to go back to another tab targeting game?
  6. People are still going to be playing the TERA OBT instead. The days of tab to target are over, you know you're sick of it. Why subject yourself to it any longer? PvE in that game is more engaging that PvP elsewhere.
  7. Look at the diversity of PvE content compared to PvP content. There are almost as many raids as there are PvP game types not to mention FPs. One map per game type is a horrible idea. There should be two or three for Huttball, Door Capping and Node Capping. The premise of the game type stays the same but the feel and strategy varies a little from map to map.
  8. This is absolutely the most, totally 100%, absurdly preposterous, ludicrously written... . . . . . . . . . . Accurate statement that is right in every point that I have ever read.
  9. People would rage like this in BTB on Halo, my GT and my friends would be recognized by anyone that played that game type with any regularity and we'd always roll an 8 man pre-made team. We'd get people dashboarding before the map was even voted on to play. The only way to avoid this is indeed some kind of pre-made matching. I actually support the current PvP system as it is with no groups larger than 4 because groups of 4+ together would absolutely kill any point in solo queues. Most of the servers have too small a population to instigate anything that will make this better like a "solo only playlist" and a "group only playlist". They have said that group queues will opt to wait a little longer to find another group prior to rolfstomping PuGs.
  10. Halo has always had great multiplayer. Halo has a quit ban that works very effectively. People still play Halo.

    Cannon Fodder

I think this counts towards the "L2P Noob" count.
  12. Reducing the time it takes to get geared for PvP is a step in the right direction for this game. If you think PvP is ruined because the skill to gear ratio involved in competition is being changed go play some grindfest.
  13. I used to start at level 18 and only PvP 18 - 20 for the full set of level 20 PvP gear. I think the recent raised prices have reduced the viability of that gear because at level 18 you are truly cannon fodder in PvP. On my latest character I think I'll start as soon as I get PPA on my PT Pyro, level 25 or so.
  14. I've made threads about this and about how I think the only equipment a PvP Armor vendor should offer is progressive mod-able armor - more valor for better looking stuff. The balanced playing field would come from every player have access to the exact some PvP Mod Vendor to choose which pieces to put in to their armor. After posting this idea in more detail, which was a very good idea in all modesty if you are looking for balanced PvP in an MMO (the only other issue being skills in the 10 - 49 bracket) I learned a couple things from business savvy members of the community: This game is not about balanced PvP and never will be. It is about long, long and long hours grinding gear because you got roflstomped by someone not necessarily better than you - just better geared. This is what drives subscriptions out for months and motivates the developers. Or from the PvE side of it (which I'm not really familiar with) the group saying "Oooh you're waaay under-geared you can't run this HM/NM with us. The insertion of recruit armor, requirement removal of BM gear and reduced viability of T3 PvE gear is actually a step in the right direction reducing grind time and making PvP a more level playing field. Now people are crying because the crutch they used to hold up their egos is being chipped away at.
