  1. We all knew that 1.2 would be coming out this month, and a lot of us thought it would be a last chance for the game before we definitively decided to un-sub. So what do you guys do? Delay the patch until AFTER everyone who has been playing since launch has subbed for another month. Well played. inb4 lock.
  2. You know? The one where you guys decided to release the game with a host of missing content and missing features, then add those missing features or content later so you guys can look like you have an aggressive release schedule. We aren't fooled, and we're all bored. inb4 lock
  3. Good. So long as they are giving us non-combat macros I'm fine with this. Sorry baddies, you won't be able to macro all your s**t, you'll have to learn to play instead.
  4. The only time that it is acceptable to backpedal is if you are tanking. In SWTOR you can Block and Defend with your back to the target, unlike in WoW, so the only reasons to backpedal while tanking is force of habit and threat. That said, 95% of the time there is absolutely no reason to backpedal.
  5. Level as Annihilation. If you run with Quinn you will have 0 downtime. If you run with a DPS companion you shouldn't have much downtime. Channel Hatred every 10-15 pulls. Though to be honest, I go to great lengths to outlevel content by, generally, four levels. I am starting Tatooine at level 28, started Nar Shaddaa at 24, you get the picture.
  6. HM Pillars are still buged. Bonethrasher was hitting us with 30k cleaves the other night in HM. Defend the Shipment is still bugged. It has reached the point where the bugs in this game are just too big and have been around since launch. Either BW doesn't care or they have the single worst QA team on the face of the earth.
  7. Have you completed every raid on Nightmare difficulty? You haven't? There is still more content for you to complete.
  8. To quote Family Guy (only because it is poignant): "Fat men aren't fat, only fat women are fat."
  9. Option 1: Roll a character on the Empire, a faction full of general ******-ery, interesting cities, and good class stories. Option 2: Roll a character on the Republic, a faction full of do-goods, boring cities, and terribly boring class stories. Yeah... Which are most going to pick? We can only hope that BW does something about it or there are going to be some big problems down the way for them in terms of sub retention.
  10. 1. Make thread. 2. Sleep. 3. Study. 4. Come back to find 7 page thread. Anyone who said that WoW is exactly like this is incredibly silly, and probably never played in Vanilla or TBC, back when Old World actually meant something and wasn't just a land of, "Dammit, I just want to get to level cap!" (Though that did start to happen in TBC.) Leveling in WoW took you to all kinds of different places, and you could do different things in different zones at the same level. Even in TBC and WotLK when leveling because a long game of completing one quest hub then moving to the next the world was remarkably more open: if you saw a place you could get to it. SWTOR is one giant, completely autonomous Barrens after another. And to the fellow who said I should go play a fantasy MMO, I played EVE, and I did so for quite a while, so I have done the whole Sci-Fi MMO thing before. On a separate note though, I am regretting quitting Rift so soon. If only my RL friends had played it more.
  11. I am well aware of that, I played WoW for 5 years or something and I got 6 classes to 80 before I quit during ICC. When you leveled alts in WoW you had done it all before, but you still like you were on an adventure. SWTOR feels like a rail shooter.
  12. So if you're a raider, like me, once you have content on farm you run out of stuff to do so you level alts. The problem is that leveling in this game is terrible. Hats off to Bioware for adding story to the leveling experience, but I feel like every planet is just another level in a giant rail shooter disguised as an MMO. Does anyone else feel this way, because it strikes me as a fairly big problem and may end up costing BW subs down the road.
  13. People who complain about Mercs are people who don't know hot to interrupt. Ops are mad because they seem to think they didn't need to be nerfed but they did.
