  1. Pretty sure they're all broken, in that if anyone dies in the boss it will become unlootable. This issue is fixed in 1.1 which is on the PTS now and will release Tuesday.
  2. I think they need a little more time before we should say that they're being unimaginative. I think at this stage they're getting a feel for what the community is capable of. I think future raids will bring more interesting fights. Or at least, if Bioware knows what's best for the success of their game, they will.
  3. Series of shots isn't as good as many of our skills, but still better than a regular snipe. I use it when there's not much else to use, and when Rapid Fire is available, I use a relic I have equipped to raise alacrity, then I use the skill that raises alacrity 10%, and go to town with those three Series of Shots. DPS is much higher when it's only taking 2 seconds or less to get off each series haha.
  4. It's not so much a difficulty ramp up, so much as putting the difficulty where it was originally supposed to be. Apparently Nightmare mode has been bugged up til now so that it was the same as hard mode >.> The 1.0.2 patch notes are in the PTS forum if you'd like to see for yourself.
  5. I loved this flashpoint, except for the turrets. They need serious work. The only way my group was able to do it was with the healer staying out of a turret and healing us. Also, the turrets should have some indication that they autofire, or they should at least not dismount you if you left click.
  6. Forgive me for not instantly taking your word with this, but have you tested it out in-game? the video you link is from 9 months ago, it's very possible it's changed since. From my own experience it seems it does not. I activated a snipe yesterday in one second and it seemed like I had to wait an additional half second to start using my next ability. Let me stress that I am not calling you wrong or myself right, as I definitely was not trying to test the GCD so I could be mistaken. I'm merely pointing out that beta videos, especially from a build that long ago, does not prove that this is how it currently works.
  7. Check the public test server forum guys, patch notes for today have been out for several days. This issue and many others will be fixed after maintenance this morning. On another note, this bug is annoying > Lost a lot of exp because of it.
  8. To those complaining about longevity, keep in mind that normal mode in SWTOR is the equivalent of Raid Finder in WoW. Meaning, a pick-up group could do normal mode. I'm sure we still have some time before Hard Mode will be toppled, and even longer before Nightmare Mode is complete.
  9. I don't have time to respond to everyone, and even if I did, SithlordXanatos has pretty much covered the bases (thanks dude, couldn't have said it better myself), but let me say this as there seems to be some confusion over my OP, which is definitely my fault for bad wording. First of all, I never said that server announcements are the best way to go. I prefer achievements personally. I was merely using it as an example, because to me, having a server announcement is better than not knowing. That being said, I prefer solely achievements. Secondly, I grant you that many people killed these bosses early on, and that doing so is not really much of an achievement as they weren't very tough, however, my worry lies in the possibility that operations won't tell you if you got server first. And that, to me, is going to diminish the excitement of doing these things. Also, let me add that the only reason we thought we might have been server first is because we're on one of the smaller servers. Not many guild are even big enough to do a sixteen man operation, and those that are are very few. Again, I recognize that downing these bosses is not so impressive, so let's get off that and discuss the points that matter.
  10. @Loyaltrekie 1) Yeah. That's what I said. Read better. 2) What does this matter? 3) Based on what evidence? If you could know this then you and wouldn't be having this discussion 4) Being first to do something is an accomplishment in and of itself. Like I said to Evilthug, it's not a pride or bragging issue - it's just for the fun of competition. But if we can't know then there's no competition. And besides, even if only 2% care, as you said, that's still no reason not to have this implemented. It doesn't hurt the 98%, so no one loses.
  11. So my guild took out Grandfather and The First today in the hopes of achieving server firsts, however, the game offers no way of knowing if that was achieved or not. Most games have a server announcement or an achievement for getting server first, but this one has neither. Even without those things we still thought we had server first because world bosses traditionally take at least a couple of days to respawn. However, a mere two hours later I returned only to find that grandfather was alive and kicking, leaving us with no idea if we were server first or not. It's possible his respawn was a bug, and if so, consider this a bug report. However, I still feel SWTOR would be benefited by both a server-wide announcement and an achievement for killing the world boss first. I know all of this sounds very negative (and I suppose it is) but let me add here that this is a minor flaw in a great game that I have been enjoying greatly thus far, and expect to enjoy greatly far into the future.
  12. Also worth mentioning, the reason you have trouble coming across Aim is because the quest rewards tailor to your class. For example, a Bounty Hunter would have trouble coming across Cunning but find Aim easy to get. The only reason Aim would come up in a quest reward for you is if the reward is meant to be for Kaliyo. (Aim is her primary stat)
