  1. Why would it be a waste of time for him precisely? If it is like you say and you among others don't really care, then the OPs farming will be all the more useful since his opposition is going to be less, since people wont be farming and they wont just be picking 1 alignment choice otherwise either. Even if you and others were farming like the OP is planning to do then his efforts would still not be wasted, because he'd be contributing, making it harder for his opposition.
  2. You can encounter the force ghosts/apparitions of the most notable sith lords to have existed, namely Exar Kun, Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow and Tulak Hord on Yavin IV. They're floating around waiting for you to click on them . Exar Kun especially though, he was definitely stronger than Vaylin that's for sure.
  3. Add a romance for satele shan meow! :3
  4. Greetings Germany , You could be right, Bioware with NDA and other marketing reasons are quite restricted in what they can reveal and say to their fansbase and the outer world, it makes it sometimes hard to discern what they're doing, saying or planning at any time, because they can't really talk about it in detail. This is true for all companies of course. But they do say some things, and there are telltale signs of what they're not saying. What Bioware did with KOTFE though, you're right much was improved, you could defnitely see the effort behind the cutscenes throughout the chapters. Discerning what they want this to lead to though is hard, personally if I could do anything I'd hope to with this thread to make them see that they should put effort into particularly the consistency and the connecting factors with the story and your class character, much like with what you described on FPs/OPs tying in closely with the story. The vanilla game had more or less some of those about, the mid-game quest chain with Maelstrom/foundry, and the late-game Battle for Ilum. Shadow of Revan had one as well. I don't know what to make of Star Fortress either to be honest, it wasn't a traditional FP chain. Bioware might already know much of what is going on, and what people think they should or shouldn't do, but it can't hurt to remind them sometimes if that's the case, it isn't like anyone knows that they already know anyways. But mainly it's important I'd believe to show and give support to particular ideas, seeing as popularity does rule a lot.
  5. Shadow of Revan gave us the most important things for the PvE community, operations that kept the progression and hardcore fans alive and satisfied, and class story alongside the "expansion story" that kept the more singleplayer/story-oriented players satisfied as well. These two things were the highlights of the expansion, something KOTFE did not have. KOTFE had their "expansion story" which was well made and cool, but, most people felt absolutely no connection to their characters in this story, it's like beginning anew, it's pointless story so far. Why is it pointless story? Beacuse, even though it is an enjoyable story, it's pointless because felt like a new game, my agent, my warrior, my jedi knight and the other characters I have all felt disconnected, everything i had done and the character that I had made didn't exist in KOTFE, our past decisions in the vanilla game gave our toons substance and personality and starting KOTFE was like having amnesia or playing another game entirely. I have seen multiple other people mentioned the same problem so i thought i'd bring that up as one of the important problems with the new story expansion, since it is after all, all focused on the "story". There were a lot of other changes in both expansions, I can't say exactly how they all affected the community overall, the new discipline system in Shadow of Revan, the crafting changes, revamps and reworks and planet sync in KOTFE, I tend to just mush these things all in one category, which isn't very deserving but I only got little knowledge of how they affected the community. As for PvP, I don't think any of these expansions were good, because they're still waiting for 8v8 ranked and in general more maps. GSF is a category of its own. - My reason for this thread is to simply point out that KOTFE overall is not the kind of expansion we want, EAWARE have done better expansions in the past that they should rather focus on and improve, namely, expansions such as Shadow of Revan (which wasn't perfect by any means but it was better, or rather, it wasn't misplaced), where more parts of the community is catered to. KOTFE is a story expansion through and through, there's nothing wrong with the story in itself, and the expac is wellmade, but it's severely misplaced. It's the wrong expansion to SWTOR. Going a little off-topic, my last thread I said that I would unsub to the game and not come back, I don't know why I came back but since I did I thought I could say something of how I think about the game. I've phrased parts of this thread like I speak for a lot of people, I think I might be doing that but if I don't then do feel free to point that out and bash me down or something. Over the years since launch where I have played this game, these few things that I brought up when comparing the two expanions were the ones that stood out. Swtor used to be a great choice and consequence and meaningful game, with big MMO areas like PvP and ranked, endgame gearing(even midgame gearing was a thing, but now it's all just bolstered and without meaning anymore) and world progression races. Today all of these areas are lifeless, some even completely dead. All because EAWARE wants more people to play I suspect, that's what seems to be the design here.
  6. Yes please romance option with Vaylin! I'd resub for that.
  7. If Satele Shan is about to get a romance going then it should be with the outlander FUFUGSAGE:)
  8. AP needed that nerf, MM on the other hand they could've gone gentler with, it didnt need such a huge nerf. I'm curious though where some are getting their ideas that melee burst should be ahead of ranged sustained? The only thing i've ever heard of the new dps philosophy was in the early 3.0 videos where they outlined; sustained->burst, melee->hybrid->ranged. So melee and hybrid sustained will be higher than ranged sustained, but as far as melee and hybrid burst goes in regards to ranged sustained is very much unclear.
  9. The story in Kotfe is good and well made, and I personally enjoyed playing it, but in all honesty there really was no connection to your actual character history, it felt much more like a stand-alone game than a continuation of previous events. This to me is a bad thing and I wont be subbing to the game as long as it's like that, it feels unsafe and meaningless to try to "make your own toon" in the latest story considering how the history has been handled. So yeah I quite agree with the OP, a Shadow of Revan style story would've been better -- where the class story is very little, but totally worth it.
  10. I played this game almost solely for my imperial agent after a while, that story really engaged me and I grew extremely fond of Darth Jadus. I chose to become his hand and I was proud of it. Darth Jadus disappeared in the early chapters of the vanilla game, he was said to be in seclusion meditating on galactic events. So I waited, but he never came back. Didn't get a mail from him during the forged alliances arc, and the brief class mission during Shadow of revan didn't involve Darth Jadus at all, much to my disappointment. As an example of what BW could've done; I have done the entire game with a light sided Imperial agent, I supported Ardun Kothe and defected to the Republic at the end of the vanilla game. In shadow of revan Ardun Kothe contacts you for a brief moment and you let him in on all that's been going on in recent events. This very brief moment is something you could've easily done with Darth Jadus as well, if you'd done that I would've had hopes still and I would still have been subscribed in the game. Alas I don't find Ardun Kothe enjoyable, I simply went that approach to the class story to kill time. I'll wait and see on dulfy about the future chapters, if Darth Jadus isn't making a comeback then I wont be picking up the game again. As a side note though, I think what BW has done with the game and the story is amazing and the right approach. I actually enjoyed playing it, but I can't play it if you don't respect what I've chosen to do with my character in the earlier parts of the game. My agent(my main) is nothing without his master, and therefore he has no future in the rest of the game until Darth Jadus is there. This might sound really silly but, I thought I should speak my mind about it, since I played first and foremost for the story. So I'm unsubbing to the game because of that. #sillyRPlover #sillyJadusfanboy
  11. I get that these companions wont have any dialogue but, will you be able to pet it at least? Say a few nice words to it and hear it react?
