Hello all, Bought the CE 5 years ago or so, played 6 months-quit, now coming back to try it again but I have an issue. The game moves like a bus with 4 flat tires. My big questions is, why? Latency is really not bad at about 80-90ms, I set the graphics setting to low and did a few old ninja tricks to bring the graphics even lower to save performance. I really felt like with the game being older combined the computer I have, I should not have any issues. But I do and a lot of them. The game just run very clunky and un-optimized, but I just don't think it is. I seem to think it is my settings or something. Any advice? I appreciate everyone's input towards this topic and I value everyone's perspective and point of view. I would however like to point out, in fights like 8-Man Hard Mode Soa. There is so much AOE damage going out, why would my guild take me over a Scoundrel and a Jedi Sage? They aren't because of the Combat Medic being a single target healer. I am not sure if other end-game guilds are doing this as well, but it does seem to be the trend on my server. I can see the Combat Medic to be a substantially more viable healing class in 16-Man fights, where assigning a single healer to the main tank or tanks would be a much more useful and suitable role. The heavy armor literally has nothing to do with the healing output versus lack thereof, in my opinion, because the topic of discussion is not PVP or damage absorption driven. The soak damage seems to be pretty balanced based upon damage mitigation techniques (ie. armor, shields, avoidance, ect.).

Combat Medics need a serious increase to the overall healing output to put them on par with all other healers in the game. I would say they are the absolute weakest healer in the game at this point. Their aoe heal is absolutely pathetic in comparison to others. The amount of healing you can actually push out on fights like Hard mode Soa is just shadowed by the aoe healing abilities and HOTs from the Scoundrel and Jedi Sage. In many of the end game fights, I am seeing the combat medic as more of a MT healer and not an aoe healer type which serves no purpose in the current end game content. In some of the higher level fights, a geared combat medic just can't keep up, heal output wise on all accounts. You can say I am wrong and cry, but you are most likely not geared and not doing end game / end difficulty content.

I just did this fight solo after reading your forum posting because I was having trouble with this fight as well. Level 50 Gunnery Commando I used a stim that raised my endurance by around 80, kited alot! during phase 2, used a healing med pack, and made sure to keep him stunned or slowed as much as possible. I moved around alot in this fight and did not change Dorne's commands around at all. she DPS'd / healed. You will end up blowing every single cooldown you have during phase 2, so do not use them in phase 1, like people have already stated on the forum. During phase 2, you will notice he puts a debuff on you immediately that increases the amount of damage down to you and stacks. If you have 2 stacks and he hits you, say good-night. You want to hide behind pillars continually and make sure you do not get sucked in during the AOE storm he does. Best of luck to everyone, by far the most epic fight I have done in the game solo. I wish I had recorded it... so freaking awesome. BTW, I killed him with about 1,000 HP left! on my commando. :-D

I see full servers that are 25-30 minutes to even 2 hours on some West Coast servers during evening hours, as a mark of success. Am I happy about waiting an hour to log in and play? No. Will it continue to be this way after the first month or so of release? No. Would the same people who will quit the game over long queue times, in the absence of this dilemma, find some other stupid reason to quit and hate? Yes. And last but not least,

The servers are not online right now and the game has not officially released. So, even with an "active subscription," you will not be-able to access the game. I would be less concerned with the actual error message and more concerned about your situational awareness. When did you buy the game? I bought a copy for my wife days before the early access and she got 5 days of early access pre-order time. I am not sure if that is just fuel for the fire... but truth. Why go back to WoW? or were you not there for WoW's server launch? From someone who was I'll let you know that blizzard FAILED!!!!

I have to agree with the above poster. Most of the Female characters in the game have a size 44D chest and a larger size rump. Way to go bioware... can I live in this world? Even the old ladies are rocking it.

The term "Heroic" simply means the quest will be more challenging than not. I.E. Not a walk in the park... good for you, you beat quest with 2 people (you and your companion) like the quest indicated.
