  1. or being forced to grind for crafted gear... Every MMO is designed around the concept of grind. Grind to achieve. Work your way up from the mail room to CEO, etc. Easy, simple, repeatable and brainless. It is what sells. Wow proved it and this confirms it.
  2. Totally agree with OP. I find myself button mashing my skills, rather than fluid timing for a perfect sequence of attacks/heals. Most of my deaths are from this issue. PvP isn't fun at all. There is no skill, just button mashing and jumping. Please fix.
  3. two tier 5 missions on rich lockboxes started before the patch. after patch, I made about 200 credits combined profit for rouchly 1 hour of mission time spent between my two companions. Those were the most profitable missions normally. I used to get around 1-3k profit each, so would have typically made about 4k for the combined, vs my actual of 200 this morning. Yes, I would say they have effectively nerfed slicing missions. It is about the dumbest way to try making a profit in the game now. Only people getting slicing are the ones that want it for augments (bleh) or for slicing found items during your adventures. Probably time for me to dump it and go with my full crafting plan. What a shame, since it is 400. No worries. I intended to drop it eventually.
  4. Been through many launches. Econ is always messed up at the start. Like someone else said, give it time to start stabilizing and longer term dynamics to kick in. also, Devs will do their part to make adjustments, once they get a better feel for how things go.
  5. Desktop remote control programs do the trick just fine, as someone else pointed out. GoToMy PC, Pocket Cloud, etc. Graphics are horrible and you get maybe 1 FPS, but it does work great for missions/skills. I did several missions this way with my ipad, on a road trip. Some folks mentioned discrimination... that is plain silly. Life is unfair and always will be. There are people that can't affort to buy or subscribe to the game. There are some that don't have a PC or laptop to play it on. I feel sorryf or them, but in no way do I think EA needs to make the game free and donate laptops, so as to make the world a fair place. More than a crew skill app or web site, I would rather do like Eve Online and allow a queue system to stack up 48 hours or more of jobs, so you have time for a vacation, work day, date night, etc, and not have to worry about falling behind your buddies that do nothing but play 24/7. Took Eve years to get it right, but they finally did. I expect we will see something like it within a year.
  6. I took slice right from the start, just to bulk up on credits. Lvl 16 now and just with one companion, I have done 2 storage upgrades (25k creds), bought a ton of missions and schematics, plus have 80k left over. However.... I did spend plenty of time in the day, while at work, running slice missions, while mostly afk. I would expect most to make way less by the same level, unless you can slice while at work like me I took all the gather skills to start, mainly because I don't know what I want to be as a crafter yet. Needed to get some serious game time in first, then decide. So, why not just earn and gather, until I figure out what I want to be? For those that think Slice is over powered, I disagree. Yes, it gives instant cash, but I have been looking at the GTN and believe you can make as much as slicing, if you learn how to effectively price your goods from other crew skills. Slice is just instant credit results, vs waiting a day or 3 for results. I frequently run slice missions for augments now, since at higher levels, the augs sell for much more. Slice = 320 fyi. So glad SWTOR doesn't cap craft skills like other games do. Why should I have to be level 50 in combat to make a level 50 item? That always seemed silly to me in Wow.
  7. I'd rather have Eve than Wow for a market. Heck, I miss Asheron's Call, where the market was literally a place that everyone gathered to sell and swap items. Very realistic. Bring your goods with you and spend the afternoon trying to make a buck.
  8. I would love to know more about Wealthy and Prosperous as well. I have a few saved up and was wondering if I should sell them on GTN or use them for myself.
  9. Search is a must for anyone that loves using trade. I do like the sort options, once you have the list of items displayed. I would like to have an actual auction option, rather than fixed prices. LOVE the refunds on deposits. Takes a ton of risk out, which is important, while the market is still so young and in flux.
