  1. I am sorry but that train of thought is wrong. I don't know enough about the lore to say who is more powerful since I don't read SW books but your logic is off. Just because something can deflect a force does not make it as powerful as that force. A bunker inside a mountain can withstand a nuclear blast but no one is claiming that the bunker is as powerful as the Nuke. You are trying to compare apples to oranges and make a direct comparison and that is just illogical. If the facts that you two have laid out are correct (since I have never read it) then yes the person that casted the lighting in this case would of killed herself. IT would be like shooting a bullet and having it richochet off of something and come back and hit the person that fired it. That would be considered a suicide or an accidental death. In this case it doesn't sound like Revan "controlled" the lightning and killed her but that the lightning bounced off and killed her. Which makes it a defensive power and not offensive.
  2. Yeah I was surprised I didn't get the Darth title then. It would seem that you move up to the old spot Darth Baras held and he was a Darth.
  3. You think 21 million for an opening weekend on a rerelease is bad? I would say that is actually quite a huge success. (and I didn't like EP1)
  4. Completely different though. Ted Turner didn't create them. George Lucas did create the universe of Star Wars.
  5. http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/domestic.htm Ticket sales would beg to differ with you. The 3 new movies were all hugely successful due to mainstream fans. To the person saying that it was a successful cult classic. Sorry but "cult movie" following do not lead to ticket sales like Star Wars has had. Even though the original wasn't filmed as a big huge hollywood blockbuster it resonated with mainstream fans. Those fans are the ones that line George Lucas' pockets. The EU writers did not build a fan base for George Lucas. George Lucas gave the EU writers a fan base for their work and provided them with the opportunity to be as successful as they were. You do not create a franchise as successful and large as Star Wars (just like Harry Potter, James Bond, Lord of The Rings) through "cult movie" fans alone.
  6. What people are not realizing is that the vast majority of you are not the typical fan that the movies were made for. The typical fan has seen the movies, possibly played the video games, and on a stretch watched some of the clone wars tv series. The typical fan most likely has only seen the 6 movies and has never touched a single piece of EU. People like the ones complaining in this thread are not the "typical fan" of Star Wars. They are huge fans. Extremely devoted fans. I am sorry that George Lucas has not lived up to your expectations but you have to realize he wasn't making movies for you. Star Wars is not a "cult movie" it is about as mainstream as a movie can get and that is who the movies are made for.
  7. I'm not a PVPer but it seems from what I have seen that most PVPers enjoy the competition. That is why FPS are so popular. (Like CoD and BF)
  8. The problem that raiders have is they know that their endgame system is actually crappy. They know that the majority of people that take part in it would no longer do so if there wasn't a shiny that couldn't be gotten anywhere else. That is why they become so aggitated when someone recommends a system that could possibly mess with their inflated egos. There is obviously no intrinsic reward for raiding and as such the participants must be forced to take part in this form of endgame.
  9. Of course cancelling negates everything in your post. Why should you be exempt from the requirements of the title just because you feel entitled? Bioware I am sure had a particular type of gamer in mind who would rush through the content and then not subscribe and wait for later content to arrive. Sorry but that is not a "Founder" of a new game community. Whether you paid more for your account or not does not exempt you from the requirement to subscribe in order to receive the title. Personally I think it is nice that Bioware is recognizing the people who are supporting the early growth of the game by subscribing.
  10. I stopped playing WoW before Cataclysm came out since I felt the game was becoming extremely boring. I was tired of the constant raid grind with nothing to compel me to want to play. I didn't care because there was no story to make me care about my character. Honestly they could of stealth changed all the character models in Wow to stick figures and it wouldn't have made any difference in the game play since at that point all anyone cared about was the next teir of gear.
  11. If it is so bad then why are you still here playing it?
  12. I could possibly see doing it on the same server with the same class but why would they give it to you on a different server? Also, why should you get extra XP going through a completely new story line (which there are 8 different main story lines)?
  13. You forgot the box and digital sales times the price. Lets average at $60.00 per box sold and I have seen numbers around 2 million copies sold. 2,000,000 x $60.00 = $120,000,000 Then add in the subscriptions.
  14. Obviously you are just a troll. Vanish not actually working (not breaking combat) was a known bug with Rogues for years in WoW. MMOs are all like this. There is no way to replicate all of the bugs in the design or beta process. Since we all run on different hardware and are running different combinations of software there is no way to fully resolve bugs in a MMO game. The only thing that can be done is release and hope to fix them as you go. And for the people that keep saying in a 300 million dollar game (first off they did not spend that much money so stop being retarded) they created 8 distinct versions of KoToR with added MMO features. So they created way more content then pretty much any MMO has ever done before. Just because people like to race to the level cap and then want to Raid/PvP does not mean the game lacks content. They created content to appeal to the Knights of the Old Republic fanbase as well as existing Star Wars IP fans and Bioware fans in general.
