  1. It is your opinion that pets are lame. Many people enjoy them. ETA: If all you do is PvP, what on earth would you need a speeder for?
  2. No, it's a great mechanic. Because then I don't get 70 random gifts I can't use. I can go buy the ones I need.
  3. By the way. When I play a game, I want to play the content. Walking is not content. If you think putting people back where they came from is 'easy button,' then Warzones should also put you back on the fleet.
  4. It's not easy button, it's common sense. I won't use LFG until it drops you back where you came from like Warzones do.
  5. It's easy to see that the missions that come up are random. If you want to get different ones, then do the ones that are available. Because yeah, all you're doing is QQ'ing.
  6. Soooo... just do a couple companion gift missions and you'll get other options when they return. Seems stunningly easy.
  7. Well, SWTOR has only been out for 6 months, so you haven't really missed the grand opening, so to speak. I'd transfer. It's more fun to play with people around.
  8. You know, OP is right. And while they're at it, they'd better give us the release date for 1.5, too! I MEAN COME ON. Slackers!
  9. I don't THINK Bioware would empty a server if they didn't have the intention to close it or merge it with other servers. I transferred to another server immediately so I could keep my names (And I got to keep about 50% of them, so cool.) But even if we don't know what's going to happen, they wouldn't kill the population on a server if they didn't have the intention to eventually get rid of the server. Of course, that's my opinion, but it seems logical to me.
  10. I always say 'Sweater' 'cuz it makes me LoL.
  11. Can you tell me who you are and on what server so I can put you on ignore?
  12. Oh. I'd also define 'pay to win' this way. Let's say you're running around in-game and you have an energy meter that keeps ticking down. If you rest, it starts going back up. But you can go ahead and purchase extra bottles of energy so you can keep playing forever and never have to rest. Essentially, you CAN play as long as you want if you rest. This method is used in a lot of Facebook games, like Oregon Trail. You can only go so far before you run out of stamina, and then you have to wait for your energy meter to tick upward again before you can move forward. OR! You can buy facebook credits and just keep right on going for as long as your little heart – and wallet – holds out. That has nothing to do with other player interactions, but you really can't win if you don't sink more money into the game. Because let's face it. If you can't play WHEN you want to play for as LONG as you want to play, is that really enjoying the game? Are you going to keep playing it without paying? 'If you want to know the conclusion of your class quest, insert $20! If you want to access the next planet, cough up $30!
  13. While I prefer a cash shop that doesn't provide ANY items that physically aid a player, if the content of the shop is mostly cosmetic with a few stat-boosting items thrown in, that's okay. I think a true pay-to-win model is a cash shop where everything is stat-boosting in varying degrees and it appears that the maker of the game expects people to purchase the items in order to advance, while creating the illusion that you can also advance in-game. For example, you can earn Dubloons in-game to purchase special content, but you can only get one a day! ...whereas you can purchase 10,000 Dubloons all at once in the cash shop and use them buy all the super top-notch material in the game. It would be like EA offering ranked Warzone commendations for cash... If you put months in on-game, you can earn all the armor through play. But you'll have a hard time competing against all the people who shelled out $80 and just bought the armor without ever having played. This model actually penalizes people who can't or don't want to throw more money into the game, and if you don't buy what they're selling, you're months behind everyone who DOES purchase stuff. Essentially, the people who pay are enabled to win with little or no effort.
  14. Why would a forum for a pay-to-play game be democratic? That's a silly statement.
  15. I agree with not letting unsubscribers post. From the time they decide to unsub, all they do it post on t he forum about how they are holding their account for ransom until the thing they want fixed is fixed. Whining. In my opinion, people who unsub should also lose all their characters. Maybe then, they'd learn to be patient instead of throwing little toddler temper tantrums on the forum whenever they don't get their way. Because I am seriously sick of hearing 'Wah wah wah, I'm unsubbing because Bioware didn't get ranked warzones out on my schedule!'
