  1. That's how the market works. Ups and downs. It'll come back around. "Always in motion is the market"
  2. I'd say that would be fair to those of us who lost time today, and shouldn't require any type of code change...
  3. As an Unprofessional Gaming Non-Legend, I would just like BW to know that I refuse to group with Professional Gaming Legends. That is all.
  4. As someone else pointed out, this is pure spin. If I want spin like this I'll turn on the news during an election year. I am also seeing a very nasty trend with the Cartel Market, and that trend is simple: more and more features specifically targetting Subscribers in addition to the F2Players. The monthly Coin grant is so low and the market pricing for most purchases so high that your explanation falls flat on its face, and is actually a little offensive. We are your subscription-based players and we are not that stupid. I don't like where things are headed if you continue to treat us like we are...
  5. You know something, my part in this is done. To BW Customer Service, Phillip-BW, and any others who've come across this thread, It was not my intention to start a heated debate about multi-boxing - yet that is what this has devolved into, and for that I appologize. I read a post by a BW Department Head: Phillip_BW, in which he made a very broad statement about the possibility of removing any and all multi-boxing from SWTOR. In his statement, Phillip_BW acknowledged that WoW had implemented such a policy and that SWTOR Devs might have to look into this as well. The thing that originally prompted me to create this thread was that Phillip_BW seemed to base his statement on the information that WoW had removed the /follow command from all content. This is incorrect in that WoW has (or will) remove the /follow command only from PVP content, not PVE content. Somehow in all the mess of the original thread it seemed that Phillip_BW had gotten the impression that it was all content, not just PVP content. This was what I was really attempting to clarify, and the rest has just gotten lost in the ensuing debate. My appologies for that. Folks, please, please, just let this be the last post in this thread. Let BW see the actual message I wished to convey, and let them base their decision upon factual information and not misinformation (i.e. WoW is not removing the /follow command completely, but rather they are removing it from PVP content - which I agree with). Is this too much to ask?
  6. I have maybe 10 million credits spread across approximately 20 toons. Are you really going to argue that that is outrageous? There are single account players with ten times my in-game wealth (actually, probably a lot more than ten times). I'm not running speed hacks, bots, or any other such hacking software. I have to physically initiate each action in this game. And, just FYI, Bioware does not create law. Bioware does not have the authority to make something illegal, and yet, here you are accusing me of breaking Governmental laws. Have you ever heard of the terms "defamation" and "slander"?
  7. I'm trying to be reasonable. Multi-boxing doesn't provide quite the advantage that some seem to think it does. And some of the claims here have been incredulous. Even if I had four toons (I only have two accounts, so two toons) I could not one-shot, two-shot, or even three-shot PVE mobs. I don't think I've ever four-shotted a PVE mob. Keep in mind, we're talking about level-appropriate content. ANYONE, multi-boxer or not, can go to low-level areas and quickly kill stuff. That is not what this is about. Multi-boxing is also not something that allows you to have two toons going full-force. The average multi-boxer is nowhere near as good as two toons indepentantly controlled by two living persons. Put the best multi-boxer up against the same amount of toons, operated by people who are used to working together (they don't have to be awesome - just average) and I guarantee you that the team of real humans will wipe the floor with the multi-boxer every single time. Many in this thread are talking about perceived problems, problems that haven't even happened yet. Isn't it at all logical to remove the ability to multi-box if problems actually occur? Look through the thread. So many posts, so many comments, so many opinions about how this, that, or the other thing will ruin the game, but not a single person making a statement of "hey, this multi-boxer person did this and it negatively affected my gaming experience. Not one. Why do you hate us so much when, other than this thread, you didn't even know we were in this game? It's like saying "Hey Cinder, before I read your post I didn't know you existed. But now that I know you exist, I realize that you could potentially do this, that or the other thing to me. Maybe you're a serial-killer, I don't know; so you should be locked-up and the key should be thrown away on the off-chance that you might somehow, someday hurt me. Sorry man, but you've got to be put in jail!" If problems occur, documented, real problems, then toss us out. But if we're not causing problems, let us be. Isn't that what every human-being wants? Isn't that just?
  8. Simple. You are stating that although I pay for two accounts, I should only be allowed to use one. Do we turn this into a household rule? If a parent pays for an account for himself and another for his child should he be limited to only using one account at a time? And that, my friend, is not a game rule. It is the reason I created this thread, because if the Devs are going to make a decision on this issue I ask that it be a fully informed decision, and not simply based on insinuated feedback of "things that could happen", but rather on facts, and what has actually happened. My money is as good as yours. I am no better, and also no less than you. If I pay for two accounts, I should be allowed to use both as long as I am not causing problems for other players - which I am not. The perceived and possible problems should only be addressed if they actually occur.
  9. Show me the "game rule" that states this. Is your money somehow better than mine? Why should I not have the same access to something I pay for that you have? You've just turned the argument on its head and are now claiming that you should somehow receive better treatment than me for the money you choose to spend. EDIT: And don't give me any "Pay to win" crap, as it's been explained that that would only be possible in PVP, and I'm not at all arguing against blocking multi-boxing in PVP; in fact, I'm all for blocking multi-boxing in PVP.
  10. Forgive me if I choose to keep my personal medical information personal. I do understand where you're coming from and I respect the question. Suffice it to say that what I suffer from is a detriment to gaming. I won't lie to you and tell you that it is constant, it is not, but there are a lot of times that is does have an affect. Probably more than less of the time (if that makes sense). It is not a disability that would have no affect, such as being a paraplegic, but it does make my life difficult. Please understand, I'm not looking for "disability sympathy", but the original statement of basically "who cares" regarding this aspect, well, I found that quite offensive. That said, as the next post in this thread indicates, even without focusing on a disability, let's focus on the facts of multi-boxing and not conjecture or unrealistic and unproven "fears". Also, camping different areas (as explained in one of the posts) is not really something multi-boxers do. Hell, I could not multi-box if I had to keep different toons at different locations - just not feasible. When you multi-box, you have a toon follow another toon, not campt out different spots waiting for spawns. That would be well beyond my ability.
  11. It's very simple. Go after the botters not the multi-boxers. I'll support you all the way. There is already software in this game that watches for botters, identifies them, and then they get banned. You are taking the stance that a multi-boxer could potentially bot, and therefore ALL multi-boxers must be banned. Well, by this logic (I'm a disabled cop), every human-being should be put in jail cause they could potentially commit a crime. Can you see how little logic there is to such an argument? EDIT: Hell, can you just see how wrong this type of argument is?
  12. True. I DO NOT bot; never have, never will. I wish people would take some time to understand the difference between the two.
  13. Oh really? I've gone through this entire thread my friend, and not once have I seen a single report of a player actually encountering a problem, caused by a multi-boxer. Not one. Your analysis is that if people are worried about something then that something is real and occurring. Hey, there is always an outside possibility that a major solar storm could cripple all electronics on planet earth. Guess you better get busy building and stocking a fallout shelter, Mate. After all, by your own logic "it is possible" and so it must happen. I'm done with you. You simply can't have an honest debate when one side employs the "it could happen, and so it will or already is (with no proof whatsoever)" card. I've never done anything to detract from your enjoyment of this game but you are damn-well set on detracting from mine. Good luck to you and enjoy the game.
