The female voice acting is somewhat better, IMO. With the likes of Grey DeLisle and Jennifer Hale, how could it not be? My BH sounds all sinister and my trooper sounds like the ****** she is.

The problem I see is that someone who uses their "flying mount" (something akin to a Snowspeeder or T-16, I'm thinking?) could probably fly over all the mobs on a planet. Why actually fight the NPCs in a game when I can fly over their heads, right? They can't see me if I'm high up! You can run, but you can't GLIDE! There could be a way to fix that issue. I'm thinking of having the airspeeder having some ground effect (maybe a shadow) that mobs can notice in the exact same way they'd notice if you were running or speeder-ing between them. They can then shoot you out of the sky. And you might die of fall damage, so don't fly too high above mobs.

I'm thinking that a compromise here might be to make doing a HM FP with three companions possible, but make it significantly more difficult and with a reduced payout. Where if the three companions are just geared in what they wore to get to L50 then you'll get wiped early and often. Everyone would need Tionese or higher to even have a chance (possible downside: increasing the number of people clicking Need to gear their companion, which is unacceptable). One element that automatically increases the difficulty is the fact that, if you die, it's a wipe. In normal HM FPs, if you die, the others can finish the match and you respawn, and might even be able to revive you mid-fight. But that wouldn't be possible in a Solo FP.

I love how he corrects the spelling of Rancor, and then misspells canon and defy, misuses "a" (should be "an official"), and is grossly redundant ("people of the population").

Be advised though that the collections for Volume 1 and Volume 2 are incredible expensive. They each collect 3 issues, but cost $16 a piece. I bought them as issues, and only paid $9 per volume

I picked Rattataki. I figure that either previous incarnations of the Sith Empire (when Tulak Hord and Kallig were around) might have been more of a meritocracy, where aliens could be Lords if they were powerful enough in the Dark Side. Alternatively, they would've had access to Sith alchemy allowing for weirder cross-species reproduction (beyond the Sith/Human hybridization, which we knew to be prevalent). I have no problem buying that Kallig was Human or Sith, but his mate was not.

I am happy that Star Wars: The Old Republic is set during the Old Republic Era. I would honestly be confused if it weren't.

Update: I got my comeuppance the other day. I was playing my Inquisitor on Dromund Kaas, in the area around the Unfinished Colossus, and some idiot cold-invited me to a group no less than 3 times. I rejected each time. On the third time I told him that it wasn't cool.

I opened this thread because I thought it would be a commentary on how some of the NPC animals we kill in-game are actually sapient beings. I'm specifically thinking of the Savrips, that Republic characters murder by the dozen on Ord Mantell, but are a sapient species.

You're right, they weren't his kids, but that didn't stop the "The Clone Wars Character Guide" from calling those children half-human half-Twi'lek.

I had not realized that inviting people to a group without a whisper first was rude. I'm glad to learn that it is, and I will stop doing it. The possible exception being cases where respawn times matter. Like in the Black Hole I've quickly grouped with people so we could kill the droid and get his core quickly, instead of having to wait for each of us to kill it. Time was of the essence, so I was rude and invited the others in the queue with me, so we weren't wasting our time waiting needlessly. But lesson learned. Thank you guys.

I agree, but maybe just for planetary commendations. That's where it's necessary. When I have 1 Korriban commendation left and can't use it, one of my other toons might use it. But Daily, Tionese, Columi, Fleet, and Black Hole comms might be restricted to your character still. That way, people aren't using one character to equip their entire L50 legacy.

The Emperor gave him the name Darth Revan (I played The Foundry for the first time yesterday). He was Revan beforehand. Short for The Revanchist.

Were you both online at the same time? In the past, there were problems with not being able to add friends who weren't online. They were supposed to have fixed that bug (in 1.3, i think) but maybe it's crept back up.

Does that make a difference though? If you get flagged for PVP while in an instanced PVE area, you're still not going to get killed by an enemy player. You just need to be sure to unflag when you're done. It's an inconvenience certainly, but I wouldn't call it a problem demanding time from the CS people while they work on significantly larger fixes.
