  1. As far as the DCs controversy, why not colour code DC loses/wins differently, and people can decide how they want to think about them. Either way, destroying the information by not recording it is doing no one any good. I think I would value the records less (personally) if DC wins/losses were the same as others.
  2. I try not to be part of being off-topic normally, but I have to correct you two (because it is my guild lol); Mr. Pinchy in WoW is an homage to the real Mr. Pinchy which comes from a classic Simpsons episode.
  3. I don't think there's been enough games with enough maps against each team to make sweeping claims yet. But I don't have a wiener so maybe this type of thread is lost on me. I've enjoyed the fact that there is plenty of ranked here. I think overall ID just wants a challenge. We don't quit after we lose, we love working on improvements and ultimately just want to play.
  4. Character modelling for video games.
  5. Nut kicks win games I'm telling you. The destruction of enemy balls is always my top priority > <3
  6. I don't bother raiding my SSDs because I actually need the capacity and I'm not quite rich enough to frivolously buy really big ones (and I can only support 2 at SATA 6). It's still ridiculously faster than anything I really have need for, and I do 3D modelling and rendering. I haven't done any benchmark testing since I built it, but my first SSD (OCZ Vertex 4) had a firmware update which bumped up the performance by about 15% over the specs listed on Newegg and is ridiculously fast for the cost.
  7. Thanks for reminding me, guess it was just Viper and JD and that one Omni jugg. I was shouting out Upham for our matches later in the night. At the time it was Kelly, Finish, Tae and me, and 4 random people. I felt bad when you said no one backfilled. Not sure how that would have changed the miraculous cap-back at the very end at snow though. Was so intense. Was one of those where, and I can't remember who was helping me, but I called a flashbang on mumble, someone else did something on one of the out-of-range guys, and I kicked the flashbang breaker in the nuts while someone did a great job picking the right time to click for a photo finish cap, as you said just in time to not be doubled up. The best part though was that pub trash talking as if he was part of a group that "beat id/omni" when there was as many/more of us on *his* team, won the match for him lol.
  8. Shout out to Kelly-Kelly, Finish, Tae, and Upham for some wicked fun matches on our pub characters last night. The best one was a CW we just barely re-capped the 2nd node before we got doubled up, using great CCs on multiple targets around the node. At the end of the match a random pub guy on our team tried to trash talk the other team saying "a group of random pub pugs just beat id/omni" because we had gotten matched up against an ID group (JD, Viper, and one more, Open?) and an Omni person. Pretty priceless. I did tell him that 3 people on his team were ID, and he said "so". Ahhhhh people. Shout out to Gunsie for staying up super late to stomp some pubs later! Thanks for the awesome heals and kicking butt in like 4 Huttballs in a row.
  9. For 50,000$ that thing better have sex with *me*.
  10. Oh c'mon boys, sleep with a guy? You don't need to resort to that! He bought some shiny parts, he's not even over clocking (Unless he is, but usually people post that information and how they got the output they ultimately achieved, how it does on torture tests etc.) I'm still newish to the hobby but it's pretty fun to mess with your voltage, where things are in the case, even remounting your cooler a couple times to get it perfect, etc. then run your tests, adjust/repeat to eek out every drop of performance you can. Like I said, I'm running at 4.8GhZ with my Ivy Bridge (it's a newer i5 with great OC potential, could have bought an i7 for like 100$ more for like 5% more potential performance at the time, decided it wasn't worth it). Anyway, not trying to ramble, guess the point I'm trying to make is, even with just running 1 GeForce 670, this game and any game out there right now can't possibly look any nicer. The only time I even make my machine break a sweat is when I do 3D rendering. You don't have to spend a fortune to get the best possible game experience. I do recommend investing in a good 120Hz monitor though if you haven't, and a well rated SSD.
  11. It's not about the capacity. It's about how much ridiculously faster it is than an HDD. Most people run their OS, apps, games from 1 or 2 SSDs and use an HDD for media storage. Yes it does have wheels, I love them.
  12. Well, with my aftermarket cooler, and this case, I was able to get pretty significant voltage on my CPU before over heating, so I'm pretty happy with my choice. Would not be able to get 4.8 otherwise no doubt. Edit: See, it's not that big.
  13. Full size case = awesome airflow for even better overclocking. 1000W is more about scalability than actual need right now. SLI is not needed for SWtoR, my card is barely awake running this game as is. Save up 150$ and buy an SSD Ded
  14. Built this slightly over a year ago, recently bought a new SSD but otherwise haven't touched it since last April. Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower Case CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K Processor 3.4 4 Over clocked to 4.8 GHz (I was able to post at 5k but it wasn't very stable, but 4.8 is as stable as I care for my purposes - doesn't crash but fails Prime 95 testing after about 2 hours when it gets heavy into the memory testing) Memory: Corsair Dominator 8 GB 4 x 4 GB (Also overclocked) Mobo: MSI Z77A-G45 PSU: Rosewill LIGHTNING Series -1000W GPU: GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 (When I feel like I need more power I'll get another one and run them SLI) HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 1 TB SSD1: OCZ Vertex 4 120GB Sata 6 SSD2: Intel 520 Series 120GB Sata 6 Display: Alienware OptX AW2310 23-inch 3D 120 Hz (2nd display not worth mentioning lol, it's just for internet/movies/mumble etc anyway) Peripherals: All Logitech; G510, G930, and G600 - keyboard, headset and mouse respectively
  15. Mikey is really destroying in that video; crazy how carnage ended up being so good, didn't think it would from the 2.0 PTS. I miss raiding with WRS on my mara. You absolutely do not have to have done the content to be able to make logically sound comments about it. This is like saying you have to be able to cook to criticize food, or draw to criticize art. Suggesting you need to nerf the fight to the point that you would be able to clear it.... like.... tonight, is terribly presumptuous. You might as well be saying my group is literally un-toppable in parses, have explored every possible positioning and flawlessly execute the perfect strategy that we've already figured out. This is course just can't be true. No one's saying it shouldn't be nerfed, they are criticizing the massive sense of entitlement we are seeing from various competitive PvE guilds thinking they are supposed to be clearing it the night it came out. Has no one here raided competitively in WoW? You don't want to know how long it took our guild to kill Yogg Zero for our server first (had to be at least 50 hours over many weeks). If everyone did the 3k Mikey was putting out in WRS, I think we'd be pretty close to some of the estimates I've seen. This means a lot of practice and great execution that would take time of course.
