  1. Yeah it was a pretty easy fix. Thanks again for sending me the link to that troubleshooting page. I didn't even think to look at the antivirus software til I read that.
  2. I have solved the problem. It was with my antivirus trying to block certain ports. Thank you for your help!
  3. No I have not read that yet. I will try some of those steps next time I get a chance
  4. http://homeportal/xslt?PAGE=C_3_1a This is the url to the page I have to go to to set up the ports for swtor? Does anybody know what info I am supposed to fill in
  5. Yeah I tried adding the ports and it is an exception on my firewall already. The problem with the ports is that the format the Uverse site wants is different than what I was given by an admin and I'm not sure what numbers I should use. I will try to provide a screenshot so you can see exactly what I mean
  6. So I just switched from Comcast internet to AT&T Uverse. The game worked fine while I was on Comcast but now I can't even login. Has anyone here run into this same problem before and managed to make the game work? If so, how? I got some info from an admin that said it may be an issue of my internet not allowing communication with their servers. The game is already an exception for the firewall so that is not the problem.
  7. The transport on the Cademimu FP that you can slice to use causes my game to crash EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. and not just when I use it. If anyone in the group uses it my game completely shuts down. Fix it please! Very, very annoying.
  8. Oh really 0_0 I don't even have the hide head slot option in my preferences anymore...did they move it or something? I checked in my social tab just yesterday and the option wasn't even there...I would love if I could find it again. Even when I could find it, after 1.4 my option never worked, and after 1.4.1, it has vanished entirely. Maybe I'm just overlooking it.
  9. And now this is made even worse since the hide head slot option doesn't even exist anymore...so now we are forced to run around looking ridiculous in the bad headgear or we can just not wear headgear at all. I don't like either option. Either give me good looking head pieces or give me my hide head slot option back
  10. Don't know if this has been said yet, mainly because I don't feel like reading through all 56 pages of posts, and but can we have it so my companion isn't basically attached to my butt while I am running? It's annoying to constantly see my companion pretty much riding on me the whole time I am running around. Plus the idiot usually has a habit of standing RIGHT in front of what I need to click on for a quest or conversation, making me have to play what I have started calling Spin the Camera so I can see if I can find an angle that will allow me to click on my quest objective and not have a conversation with my companion. I am actually starting to run around with my companion dismissed if I know I won't need them. Just give me some space. Make my companion follow from a little more of a distance and have them off to the side, so when we do stop, they aren't directly in front or behind me, blocking me from clicking on stuff. Thanks. Edit: just wanted to add that I think the Punish social skill for the Sith Pureblood is just about the best thing ever. I finally get to smack the crap out of my companion for being in the way all the time. I spent more time slapping Khem across the face than anything else.
  11. Well, I I have played both, and I really enjoy them both. It really all comes down to your play style. Do you want to be a caster, who sits in the back of the battlefield and throw spells around, while also healing his/her teammates and throwing defenses onto them (just fyi, the sage never really uses their lightsaber, except maybe to finish an enemy off, otherwise your lightsaber attacks collect dust as a sage), oh and also as a Sage you will likely be in charge of maintaining CC in groups since Sages have a big picture view of the fight and have the most CC especially if they trait right. Or do you want to be stealthy, sneaking into the middle of the fight and backstabbing people, or just sneaking past a group of mobs altogether, meleeing, and tanking? Just know this, as a Sage 99.9% of the time you get in a group, they will expect YOU to heal, but that's no problem for me, I love healing. I have played a healer as my main in every MMO I have played. But if you are the healer, and the group dies, be prepared to be blamed, because apparently it's always your fault. Not the tanks, who couldn't hold aggro, or the over-eager dps who started the fight before a plan was made, it will be your fault haha. But Sage is a great class. And as a Shadow, most groups will take you just for some extra DPS. So which role would you prefer to fill? The caster/healer, or the melee tank/DPS? Oh and one other thing. Your Force (resource). As a Sage, you get at least 400 added to your Force pool, and can top it off with another 100 if you pick a certain skill in your skill tree, making your total force pool 600, so you don't usually have any issues with running out of force unless you are healing in a long fight. As a Shadow, you don't get any extra force unless you spec the right skill in your skill tree, which only adds 10,making your total pool 110 at most. But shadows have a few skills in their tree that make their force regen rate better, so while you may have less force, you regen it faster.
  12. No, this is not some post saying "fix this ability" or "add this skill". I just want something simple. I am the type of person that likes to research classes some on my downtime. It helps me decide what class I want to play next, and better understand the class I am currently playing. That being said, one of the things I usually do is inspect a classes abilities. What level, each ability is unlocked, what the certain abilities do, cooldown, cast times, etc. It really helps me plan my skill tree setup and everything. As it stands, there is no website or page I have found that has reliable info on class abilities. Most of them have the level for the ability wrong, or they are completely missing some abilities. I know this isn't a huge issue since I could see all this info in game, but I like to plan and know my abilities ahead of time so I can spend my game time playing and not trying to learn about new abilities or how they will affect my thoughts on my skill tree setup. Can we please get a page made by a Dev that has reliable info on this topic? Or at the very least can someone give me a link to a page that has 100% reliable info. Thank you
  13. This is not a huge priority compared to all the other stuff that needs to be looked at, I know. But I like my characters to look good when I play them. Nobody likes to play a character that doesn't look good. That being said, I have a jedi sage & shadow, as well as sith Sorcerer & assassin. Both sith characters look infinite amounts better than either of my consular characters, and my sorcerer is only lvl 12. Granted the consular does have a few select things that look nice, but everything I get for my sith looks awesome! I would like to see some more, nicer looking options for the consular. And maybe even a cosmetic system, so if we find a look we like, we don't have to get rid of it when we get a better piece of armor. Just a little suggestion. And like I said before, I know this is low on the priority list, but still something I would like to see.
  14. Yeah I don't know why people prefer the old 360 effect as opposed to the new cone. First of all, let's say you are surrounded on all sides, the 360 push back gets them off of you for like a total 3 secs then they are right back on you, and it was limited to a very small radius. In my opinion, it was not very useful, except to give you a few secs breathing room. At least with the cone, it has a vastly increased range, so in cases like huttball, it can be used at a greater distance to push people off rafters or into acid, and is Voidstar or Civil War it is an awesome interrupt for when people are trying to cap. It is so much more useful now.
  15. Funny stuff! Some good responses so far!
