  1. Oh yes, we should give hugs and sing Kumbaya because this is a game. >_> Let us not forget that this is a business FIRST. If this was really all for fun, no one would be charging money for this and it would be open source to get more people to fix bugs. Don't kid yourselves into thinking that mistakes are acceptable when you're paying for a service. The complexity of the system is irrelevant to the discussion.
  2. You need a *modern* video card dude. That card is several generations behind.
  3. I don't care about Legacy system either. It seems more like artificially gating features that were planned originally then taken out in order for the developers to work on it. I'm no altoholic and I don't have that kind of time or desire to devote effort to more than 1 character. I actually find this to be a disturbing trend among game developers to have stuff done or mostly done and then hold back so they can extend the game instead of adding more new stuff.
  4. Wear some sunglasses while you are on Hoth. Don't forget the sunscreen.
  5. I don't know about you guys but I just put all the stuff that can proc together. Then I just face roll and it hits the proc keys. Sounds like I'm kidding but I'm not.
  6. Sounds like a lot of players never played KOTOR which this game is based off of. The only big difference now is that there's no pause button.
  7. I think if their Customer Service copy paste answers, the Developers can copy paste armor. Only sounds fair to me.
  8. Can't select by role? There's no guarantee that the class you want is going to be a healer or a tank. >_<
  9. I've played over 300 hours. It's felt more like a beta game to me. I submit a bug report almost every other day. Why am I testing the game for them? I thought I was buying a polished product? The game has potential but I'd be embarrassed with the game and its infrastructure if I was head of development.
  10. They are unwilling to spend the time/money to make a custom forum. This current version is borrowed tech. It's not bad to re-use what is available as no one ever wants to reinvent the wheel. The search abilities are disabled because their machine can't handle all the queries yet. It would red line and the load on the servers would be tremendous.
  11. It's probably because they are doing maintenance on their login servers which is probably tied to your forum account since it's one singular account. If they were smart, they'd have a bit more replication going on here but that costs money they aren't willing to spend yet. At least the forums are still readable during maintenance. Pretty sure old WoW forums couldn't do that until they upgraded to their current tech with Cataclysm.
  12. It's pretty obvious that space combat will stay as a rail shooter for the foreseeable future (or forever). It's essentially a side game to add flavor to the game. It is not the focus of the game. Adding more complexity to a small side game isn't going to happen. Enjoy it for what it is even if it is limited in its features.
  13. Oh, this is a fun game and I like it but I don't like it enough to pay for it with all the retarded bugs and non-existent customer support. I will wait 3 months until Bioware gets their act together. I'm glad they are patching furiously but this should have been done months ago when people were telling them to fix it on the beta. I've canceled but will keep playing until my time is up. =)
  14. 1) It was too easy to get money. Money becomes trivial. 2) The amount you got was substantial. 6-8k for a box for sending a companion out. They did their math wrong and underestimated how powerful it would be.
  15. It's pretty obvious. Many features weren't ready yet but corporate side wanted to get sales quickly for Christmas. They are betting that people will pay for the game while they still develop/fix these issues. This tactic is working so far. The game needed 3 more months to get basic stuff fixed. :x
