Which side have the most population Sith or Republic??

as my forum titles says I am a returning player and have noticed that Gav Daragon seems to have a consistent population stream. so what i am wanting to know is there more people on Republic or Sith and are there any Aussie guild willing to recruit a returning player?? many thanks in advance
