  1. I've been blessed lately with a couple of groups where they just love attacking each their target, and my sorc handles that scemario much better. I did try out Athiss today and we had a great tank and blew through it, but it seems to be a lottery what group you get.
  2. @ MikeFL: Kolto probes are in your near future and gives you an instant-cast aspect to your healing, but I'm waiting for my surgical probe. I don't dare heal FPs yet with my lvl 25 op, since energy-management gives me anxiety attacks. Sorc is so much better at this level. I like PvP-healing on my op though, even though I'm everybody's favourite target and with surgical probe it's going to be a lot more fun. I think it might be true that at least healing ops don't come into their own until the early 30s. @oakamp: Well, ops are stealth and snipers are rdps so you're kinda caught in-between there. I don't have a sniper, but ops pvp is a lot of chaotic jumping around, so with your finger being what it is, sniper may be for you. cheers!
  3. I'm having the exact same troubles as you, Kurugi. Having run through a lot of the available classes and deleted them again, my first real toon is a DS op (lvl 24) and a LS sorc (lvl 28) - both healers, since that's what I always play. As for the overall experience, I agree with you story-wise. The IA story is great, yes, but you kinda feel like a roadie. Getting involved in the inner workings of the sith is really where it's at - where the whole SW thing is. You're greeted on new planets by people who've heard of you, and who's been excited/scared that you're coming. You're somebody special. As an IA, you're the puff of smoke coming from the grassy knoll. As a sorc you're accompanied by a legendary assassin, who's always threatening to devour people. As IA you're accompanied by a freak show with a yellow hardhat (oaky, I bought it for her I know). This is reflected in the aesthetics as well. My sorc's robes are beautiful and she spews lightning from her fingertips. My op wears a grey raincoat, a blue baseball cap and is just ... grey. Healing as a sorc feels incredibly WoW-priesty. Very, very familiar. Mana ... sorry ... force issues seem non-existent really. You're only really challenged by the erratic behaviour of pugs (let's attack three different mobs simultaneously!). I get banged up badly in PvP. Also very WoW-like As the other poster said, op feels new and fresh .Sadly it's also a new mechanic my old brain needs to wrap around. It's great to think you can heal forever, but burst periods are just angst-filled. PvP'er is funner as op. Even as the worst PvP'er ever, I top healing meters in WZs and I even get a few backstabs and shivs in (followed by instant death but totally worth it!). My sorc's on Tattoine now and it blows more than sand! Op's starting Nar Shadaa, which feels like a differently lighted Curoscant. I'm a little fed up with questing atm. I have a lvl 11 commando healer, but the whole military thing does nothing for me. My solution now - because I do genuinely love this game and I haven't had this much fun since running my priest through Northrend - is to PvP on the Op and do Heroics and FPs on the sorc. Let me know what you decide and gl with it. Cheers!
  4. I'm playing a female sith just for that voice
  5. Thanks for the advise. I've been playing my operative for a few days. Got back to the sorc and, no, I don't have force issues really, so I'll respec and go full corruption. Oddly, operative healing is fun but always makes me giddy, while sorc healing feels nice and comfy.
  6. Hi guys. Sorry for the noobish question, but is there a difference between orange armor sets? If there isn't could I just dress up my toon in the elegant dress you can buy cheaply on your home world and merely change the mods for the rest of the toon's life? Thanks in advance!
  7. Hi guys Noob healer here. I've been taking the Force talents in tier 1 of the lightning tree after my first Black Talon run. Then I read the rest of the Sorcerer healing guide (), and now I'm wondering if I should head straight for Resurgence before doing anything else. For questing I could probably throw hotdogs at the mobs and still do fine* so it's more for flashpoints and heroics. Thanks in advance! * Levelled a disc priest in WoW in the days of yore before dual talents, so all talk of how slow levelling a healer in SWTOR is makes me go "PFFFFFFFT! Young people today!"
