  1. They must really be hurting in terms of staff, I bet a good portion have been pulled to work on the new Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
  2. Well, I wasted money on a 90 day sub, hopefully in a month or two a patch will make this expac playable enough to get something out of it. lol
  3. PC = Player Character Zakuul can act as a lesson learned for the PC. Especially for a Sith, It makes no sense that the PC wouldn't aim for the Sith throne/ultimate power seeing as the PC can be the most Powerful force user in the known galaxy. Once the PC is established as de facto ruler, the stories can proceed with the PCs being active hands on tropes, like Elric of Melnibone, King Arthur, or Elessar (who has a few more adventures after the LOTR trilogy). So the literary precedent exists, would make sense, and amend the confusing power gap created by the Zakull misadventure. As for non force users, they can have ultimate political power using force sensitives to keep the others in line. Moreover, the PC can stay in the position of power for as long as the game goes on, there are hundreds upon hundreds of years until the Empire finally dies off in the timeline.
  4. If you are playing on the Empire side, she doesn't have any romance scenes, it was a pretty bad oversight, she has a few good scenes if you are on the Republic side. Hopefully a few scenes will be added for Empire players in the new story content. The devs did a poll on twitter not too long ago, asking who the playerbase's favorite companion is, and Lana won by a landslide, beating out both Kira (2nd) and Vette (3rd). So I feel like all three will be getting new content.
  5. This thread is ridiculous, and there seems to be a general fallacy here, that Lana getting more screen time (even though she is the PC's main advisor, no matter what class or side they are) necessarily means that other NPCs don't get screen time. Correlation does not equal causation. It's not the fan's fault. Spite is a terrible thing, you people want to kill off the most popular NPC in the game, who brings the majority of fans a greater sense of enjoyment. A character who now is to SWTOR, what Jaina, or Thrall is to WoW. IMO no companion NPCs should be killed off, and you guys need to give it a rest.
  6. All the force using PCs become the most powerful force users in the universe. If your force using PC romances Lana, I believe she sends the PC a message stating how they now have no equal in the force, Arcann says the same. The PCs power is expressed differently dependent on class lore. Warrior is based on Darth Vader, a primarily melee Sith with physical feats via the force, and telekinesis feats. The sorcerer is more flashy, because the class is based off of Sidious, and there is a greater emphasis on force lightning. I think there is a visual bias, a warrior who force crushes an APC, isn't more powerful than a sorcerer who stops it with force lightning storm, and vice versa.
  7. I want to see Malgus seek revenge through the PC, by pushing for them to rule (especially force sensitive PCs, who now substantially out power him and the Emperor/Empress), and offering to become the PC's Wrath, or ruling as a proxy Emperor for non force using PCs. It would be nice to see the PC and Malgus actually have a conversation for once. If the writers just do the exact same thing with Malgus as the Traitor arc, I'll probably quit SWTOR, because Bioware will have shown that they have lost the plot, and have become lazy to the point of redundancy. For those worried about a PC being unable to rule, and still go on adventures, or what have you, I'd say take a gander at the Elric of Melniboné series. Melniboné is a fictional Empire that shares a lot of similarities with the Sith Empire, and Elric is reminiscent of a Sith Warrior, Elric continues to have many adventures as an Emperor. And yes, unlike the Empire of Zakuul (that doesn't exist in canon whatsoever), where the writers wrote themselves into a corner, the PC could literally stay as ruler of the Sith Empire until SWTOR ends. As for Republic aligned characters, Malgus could then become Sith Emperor, and the PC's could still become the primary Republic and or Jedi leader.
  8. Part of the reason, is because I can't play Jedi without romancing Kira, but I can't play the expansions without romancing Lana. So I think I'll have to find a compromise, and just play the class story for Jedi Knight. XD lol
  9. There were a few investigative articles, and a documentary about WoW gold sellers, and the norm was for rather Mafia like 'companies' to hire actual players to farm for them, then those players would sometimes trade them to another middle man in the company who would then trade a portion to someone else who would then deliver them and so on. Which made investigations time consuming, and almost impossible to prove that the gold was bought. There are people who give a lot of gold to say a friend new to the game to get them started, or sometimes people do get tricked into buying dumb items for lots of gold etc. In some cases, large investigations would be more expensive for a company, than whatever the gold selling does to a fake market. According to articles like this one from NPR, there are Chinese workers, who spend 12 hours a day farming gold. https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=10165824 So it's a lot worse than simply hackers taking over accounts and stealing gold, items and whatever. People have actually been killed over fake monies... IMO considering the reasons why someone might buy gold, the only way to really cut down on gold selling is to take certain items off the market completely. Making vanity items only obtainable from game play, and without having to grind weeks of rep, would be a good first step in doing so, also eliminating loot boxes completely. But that's just my opinion.
  10. No they're not, he means an actual wedding ceremony.
