This solution worked for me. Many thanks!

Sometimes game developers opt for a less believable scenario like sniper rifles that can't hit targets past 35 meters in order to maintain game balance.

1. Use interrupts just before his casting bar is full. I like to bind Jedi Kick to the mouse wheel button. 2. Force Stasis is a good secondary interrupt if Jedi Kick is still cooling down. 3. Keep your back towards the shipping crate so you don't get knocked back so far. 4. Save Force Leap for AFTER you get knocked back for quick recovery. 5. Use Rebuke then Saber Ward early. 6. When Saber Ward drops, feel free to use Heroic Moment, Pacify and a medpack to buy you more time. 7. Stims and Adrenals is also handy if you need that extra little boost.

Gunslingers don't have to buy Scatterguns.

You can make additional characters on other servers. The downside is that Legacy is server specific and so starting on a new server means starting a new Legacy.

Dear Bioware, Thank you for sharing the love with us altaholics. For many of us the number of hours we put into all of our characters are as substantial as those who commit all their time on one fully decked out lv 50 character. Please bring back the giggle/laugh effect for smugglers. It lets us know when our ability procs. It's funny. Making it audible for just the scoundrel and not the people around them would have been a much better compromise if there are haters who don't like our laugh. Please bring it back. Stop making changes that make the class less fun Bioware! This isn't even a question of game balance. It was totally unnecessary. Bring it back!
