  1. OP, could you write these questions anymore of a bias? I'll do you a favor and reword them in opposite bias to show you how bias affects the entire thread. 1. What is your favorite aspect of SWTOR that keep you playing everyday? Nothing. 1. What is your favorite aspect of SWTOR that kept you logging in once a week? My guild mates and our chats during the boring raids in KP/EV/EC 2. What do you personally feel makes this game better than other MMO's? Nothing 2. What do you personally feel that SWTOR hit it on better than other games The main quest voice acting, that is it. The lore in WoW > SWTOR still. 3. What are you looking forward to the most, or what do you hope will someday make it to the game? (characters, content, features) A true space layer.
  2. Don't take me as the authority on it. EA executives themselves, including Bioware founders have already given up on this game. Tigerwoods PGA is more important.
  3. 1. Nothing. Many people have said story, but if I want quality story - I'll go play a single player RPG or read a book 2. Nothing at all. Nothing warrants $14.99 for this steaming heap of abandoned waste by EA/Bioware. 3. That they fix the game or sell the rights to the Star Wars IP MMO so someone more competent and less driven by greed can create a Star Wars game that does the IP justice.
  4. My opinion is that this game is dead from a hardcore-MMO enthusiast POV. It will go on and live for 10 years though, Star Wars Galaxies pulled it off with less than 300k subscribers. But with that in mind, the playerbase will change and the developers will simply release more casual content at a means of preserving what little life this game has. As an analogy, this game is much like Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader. It was the chosen one, but then it fell from grace. What remains are it's chopped up remains (the layoffs) encased in a suit of darkness, it's potential is forever lost (Darth Vader could never force lightning to the lack of his arms and the force is with the living). I'm sorry, this game has no hopes of revival. No MMO has ever done it before, and it certainly won't happen with EA/Bioware management at the helm. They've already moved onto Tigerwoods PGA 2013 and Tera.
  5. lol u think EA is gonna distribute the money to Bioware to do this? They already f'ed up hard. With that money, from a risk-vs-return perspective, it'd be cheaper to just release a Star Wars space game via stand alone and milk the life out of SWTOR. Even the bioware founders have lost faith in the game, why else do you think the PR release was from Dr Muzyka?
  6. This. This. This. This. I've waited 6 months, this game is dead to me. They didnt give my server a transfer, and according to that guys census data, I'm in the bottom 20th percentile of low pop servers. What gives? Screw it, I quit.
  7. It is useless crap for either the hardcore or the casual, Legacy 20 requires well more than a 50 who has put in considerable raid time + an Alt past 45. Yes, it is well over a million to acquire empty orange gear which is useless to a hardcore player as the set bonuses do not transfer - nor can you augment them. Best in slot right now are ugly critical crafted orange pieces due to the augment slot. Now for the casual, do I really have time to get 2 50's (legacy 20) and the time to amass the credits to buy a suit of useless armor for a 3rd or 4th Alt? I really really doubt that....
  8. The OP is correct, the empty servers is not the problem - it's merely a symptom. The real problem is the game, it has nothing to retain casual or hardcore players. It's been 5 months, plenty of time for the developers to address issues. Basic features such as LFG tools, UI customization, /roll, etc have only recently begun to be pushed out or "soon", which is a joke to be quite honest. The game should have never been released until it was ready to have everything up to 1.3 ready to go on release day. Don't compare this game to WoW's 2004 launch, this is 2012 and people have alternatives to their time and money. The 25% decrease in subs (probably much more given the fact that many original subs were extended for free) is a hard testament to what I've said. Now for constructive points - 1.3 needs to come out in may -Needs LFG tool -Cross realm PVP/LFG - OR - server shut down/merges -An operation (for the raiders) -More legacy stuff (for the alt people, casuals) -Rated warzones (PVP'ers) -Another flashpoint (for everyone) Unfortunately 1.3 has been kept quiet and it's "lean". I'm sorry Bioware, "Late summer" will not cut it. You need stuff out before June.
  9. Hero engine can't handle this, as seen as Illum.
  10. You do know we all pay $14.99 a month right? You do know that there exists alternative means of spending that $14.99 and the leisure time we have right?
  11. Exactly, the old "Give it time" argument has been given it's time and what do we still have? Not much other than /roll, fluffy legacy, and one operation. I wonder what the real subscription #'s are (If you take out the free 1month that was given) - how many people are "truly" active?
  12. I feel like reviving this thread because it's a good comparison from Dec 26th 2011 to now. What has changed? 1) It still feels like single player with multiplayer - with less people now 2 PVP is still crap (Rated WZ's, where art thou?) 3) It's still buggy - Explosive conflict is full of mechanic breaking glitches that forces a reset 4) Features that should have been in release - LFG/Realm PVP/Raid LFG tool Bioware, you need to seriously pick things up while you still can - or another warhammer will be on your plate.
  13. 1) My server is dead 2) Many basic MMO features are being patched in as "Great new features". Sorry but UI Customization and LFG tools are bread and butter 3) I don't feel like I'm getting my $14.99 worth, I can play WoW 4) End content is boring and nothing innovative 5) The voice acting is incredibly overrated and C/B grade aside from the class quests
  14. This. IF I don't get a server transfer by the end of May - I'm leaving for diablo 3.
  15. Hey man, good for you. But the class isn't that bad, especially gunslinger/imperial agent (ORBITAL STRIKE?!) Um....for the end game....I'd assume your allies in a raid would be giving you the respective buffs...
