I actually really like Rusk, he's probably my second favorite companion. My Jedi Guardian was a dark side, defeat the empire at any cost kind of jedi, and as such, he and Rusk really clicked. Plus, after having to put up with the rest of the Republic army being entirely useless for the game, it really felt like Rusk and his squad were contributing to the mission. If the general on Hoth had stepped up and assigned Rusk to my team, I would have happily chosen the dialogue option to request him.
