  1. Kaliyo for female IA. I can't possibly imagine her as anything but bi, and the way she talks doesn't change my mind.. yet somehow you can't. That being said, I would not be surprised if new romance options with existing companions will open up come KotFE. I understand that rewriting existing class missions would be difficult, but with the companion reset, why not? Turns out this one companion friend had a huge crush on you all this time but never dared to openly admit it...
  2. It's actually staying lit, but it changes direction to go same way as the other part of the saber. So instead of going "down", it goes up through the handle and into the other beam. Still happening yep.
  3. You are aware that you can hit escape before the conversation ends if you find that your answer wasn't quite what you wanted, yes? Sometimes the lines that indicates what you'll say is a little off compared to what you're actually saying, no shame in redoing the conversation (of course at this point, it's a little late, but for the future). Unless of course you roleplay a shy person that not uncommonly blurts out things that just comes out not the way they imagined it would.. :-)
  4. Yep gotta join the "Please no giggle"-group.. maybe it would be better if you only heard your own, but the sound now is different enough that I can distinguish it from other sounds, and not as annoying as the giggle. Sure it's not as cute, but oh so annoying.
  5. 2 things: 1. Communities aren't built over night.. it'll calm down and settle, and you will find some people you actually like, and you'll find a whole lot that you really don't care for. Just like anywhere else in life. 2. Don't diss the option of having players to talk to and play with, not to mention being able to sell and buy on GTN. Back in January, I watched some of my then guild mates state they did not care that it was an empty server, they had their guild to play with. However when they joined our new server (we switched and started from scratch) they were completely blown away - feeling that the game was a lot more fun again. I'd say give it some time, things will settle, and you may just run into some really great people while you wait. For most people, an MMO should be alive, at least in certain more crowded areas, and not a single player game. There are a lot of things you just can't do with 7 people on the fleet, and chances are you will go bored of the game much sooner than those on a populated servers. So in short: Give it time.
  6. Yeah rerolling on a high pop server isn't a solution, it's a workaround - and a bad one at that. Programming automation for character transfers aren't gonna take months to do, if the actual tech move already exists. But I think I saw end of April somewhere, which imo is a bit too far away. Crossing fingers.
  7. I'll second this. I'm on Ludo Kessh - which is mostly a standard server after 6pm until 11pm otherwise light. It's generally 15-30 people on the republic fleet, I rarely find planets with more than 10 people, and doing heroics you can just forget about. My guild are all level 50's except for myself pretty much, all the other ones that weren't has pretty much disappeared and stopped playing. It's very frustrating, I haven't done any heroics since Coruscant, and no real Flashpoint since Esseles, and the grouping game is what I really enjoy. I can understand that this happens, I have no complaints about that, but what's most frustrating is the complete lack of response from BW. Even a "Yes we know it's a problem, yes we're looking into it and you should see something soon" would be better than the nothing we're getting now. I love this game, and found a guild that I really enjoy, and I'd hate to have to go to a different server and start over, in parts also because I switched servers about 8 times during first few months and don't want to do it yet another time.
  8. Sounds like the main reason why Madness is more dps than Deception is because the damage continues to tick when you're running away from stuff. My experience in past games is that some people work better with some specs than others, and frankly if you have no fun playing Madness but love Deception style, chances are you're doing more damage as Deception anyway. Imo play what you want, and don't worry too much about if the other spec does 2% more dps than you.
  9. If I understand your problem correctly, you haven't even gotten to the launcher section where you put in username and password? Or is it the Play button don't show up after you've logged in? If it's the first, depending on your operating system - In Windows Vista and 7 you'll find it under Start -> Games. Windows XP I am going to guess there'll be a bioware or Star Wars-The Old republic-folder under "All Programs". If none of those locations have it, check "My Computer", check the C: drive, Program files (or Program Files (x86)) for either bioware or Swtor or Star wars-the old republic. I've put mine in custom spot so I don't know where it wants to be by default, sorry. If it's the second thing I mentioned at the beginning, do you get an error message?
  10. Yeah unfortunately it's way too much going on in an MMO to limit it to a controller, you'll figure it out after a bit of time.
  11. Nope it contains nothing. Have done it twice now and it still is completely empty. Just bug report it.
  12. You can turn it around and say the bounty hunter is the only class that isn't. Smuggler has nothing to do with the Republic either, same thing on both sides. It's fine.
  13. Someone said you get a warning at 20 about it - I haven't dinged 20 yet so I can't confirm, but apparently you do get a warning at that point.
  14. That's just because people aren't used to it, I'm sure it'll improve.
