  1. I agree Unity and Sacrifice could be replaced by something more dynamic and concept (suggestions follow). To keep class balance, they should not be replaced by offensive or damaging abilities: my Sage really does not need any DPS boost (with Telekenetic and Balance skill trees, I often do twice the DPS of some). I agree that a Lightsaber maneuver and a Force Push are missing from the Jedi. Without being offensive or damaging, these would give a breather (especially for those with Light armor). For example, it could be a flurry of lightsaber defensive moves around the Jedi, where he/she cannot attack for a while but is in a circle of protection for a moment. Tactical use: to gain time while others arrive or while other abilities are on cool down, and/or to gain Force points. A Force Push would of course be good. Force Wave is a form of it, but a Force Push would a) send the enemy a good 15 feet/5m away and b) be used on a single target or only in the current direction.
  2. Same new sound issues mentioned in this thread, since 1.2. It sounds like the volume goes up and down, and goes from mono to stereo, especially in space missions. Companions sound like they are using a walkie-talkie. At the end of Warzone battles, the victory music has major static and sounds broken. Did one test : occurs with and without the new sound option Background Audio.
  3. I remember the first movie (the original) in the Millennium Falcon with gunners, dodging and hyperspace jump get-away. I'd love to see player crews in ships working as a team in space combat (one pilot, gunners, one co-pilot on sensors and tactical options). (both PVP and PVE)
  4. Early March 29 2012, on Veela, I was perma stunned 5 times ! I'm stuck on the ground, cannot move, and only a few rare effects work: some instant heals on self. I'm a Sage, so I tried various unstun heals. No effect. edit: my unstun power is said to remove negative effects that are Mental, Force or Physical (that last category is from a Seer skill). The first three times, agents would kill me so it passed as possibly normal. The fifth time, I was left alone and I was on the ground for over 5 minutes. During that time stunned, I wrote and sent my Help Ticket Of course, after 5 times in one night, when it never happened to me before, I presume it is either a hack or some found a way of exploiting a bug/combo. But it could be an unintentional bug. Support says to refresh my UI next time to see if that works (pressing Cntl u twice in a row)
  5. Hail, I'm a francophone (Quebec City). Have you heard how people who speak French pronounce TH as in The. It sounds better when French folks say Dark than Darth. No matter, we all know Darth Vader or Darth Maul is just a not-so-subtle variation of Dark jedi.
  6. +1 I suggest Orbital Stations be removed, as an obligatory travel step, if they do not serve a purpose or bonus. From a player point of view : 1) 10 second run out of ship into Orbital Station 2) take elevator : quick loading of lower floor 3) 30 second run through Orbital Station to take the shuttle 4) relatively fast load onto the planet (about 30 seconds more or less) then 5) running out of your ship landed on the planet, towards to elevator, then through a planet spaceport. This is an extra 1.5 minute through an Orbital Station that serves no purpose, in appearance anyhow, plus about 45 seconds through the planet-side spaceport. Is the planet entry loading when we are running through the Orbital Station? I don't think so anyhow. -- ( I do not mean to sound extra-critical, but also think the space graphics when leaving the Orbital Station are ordinary.)
  7. Just a follow-up : my keys to cycle Next/Previous Enemies/Friends now work, probably since last patch (Dec. 27, 2011 I think).
  8. Although I disagree with that statement : when you create an MMO, there are various game dynamics and coherence that you put in place to give soul to a game or not. But, all around, I think the criticism here is out of whack. I have played other MMOs who really had no soul and very little concept. My first experience in SWTOR, as a Jedi Consular, I really appreciated that the Jedi philosophy was respected and developed (unlike the three most recent movies which did not). It's not perfect, but in comparison, SWTOR has soul.
  9. I understand that. On RP servers, in my opinion, Bioware should enforce their rules (which I found were well written and clear). I hope players on RP servers will report or find a solution. Ironically, on the PVP server Veela (Full), people have good names up to now.
  10. I'm pretty sure you can sell Light and Dark items on the trade system at any place. In my humble opinion, selling a Dark Lightsaber should give some Darkside points I decided to be RP and not sell Dark items, but that's a personal choice. There could be an impact implemented for selling in trade items that are opposite your alignment.
  11. Hail, I had the mouse/turning lag issue, without feeling lag at other moments. Others have the super high speed turning issue. What worked in my case (varies from one computer to another) : In my case, reducing the Texture Anisotropy to Medium instead of High (in game options) did the trick. [ EDIT: had written Anti-aliasing, but should have written Anisotropy.] [ I also changed my NVIDIA option Maximum pre-rendered frames to 3 instead of 5.] I kept some shadows on though at low detail level. For Dev : I think, not sure, that when my mouse cursor is close to the edges of some windows or on-screen texts, that my mouse movement/turning is slowed. Anyhow, my computers' capacity to manage anti-aliasing seemed to be the cause of most of my lag.
  12. Yes, mouse movement/turning is tricky for many people, but not all, as it is affected by the computer and graphics card. There is a thread about mouse turning speed issues here (crazy fast for some, jerky and slow for others). In my case, reducing the Anti-aliasing quality (in game options) did the trick. [ EDIT: had written Anti-aliasing, but should have written Anisotropy.] [ I also changed my NVIDIA option Maximum pre-rendered frames to 3 instead of 5.] I kept some shadows on though. What will make your movement/turning smoother varies from one computer to another.
  13. This type of comment isn't welcome here. This thread is in the wrong forum section (people post RP name inquiries in the RP forum). Cheers
  14. Well, I'm rather certain it will be possible later, but right now they have hundreds of thousands of people logging on and they have to act quickly on many issues (accounts, bugs, etc.). As most people are just starting off, trying many classes, it's not a big problem at the moment (though I know restarting from scratch and replaying 20ish hours is annoying, but it's acceptable in the current situation). And yes, I am one of those waiting 40 minutes before being able to play. ( I don't work for any company )
  15. First, about skin color : Zabrak subspecies, in the Star Wars universe, have different skin tones which included peachy white, pure white, yellow, red, tan, brown and black (Wookiepedia). All Zabrak, Light or Dark, should be allowed these skin colors. A Light Jedi of the Zabrak race could be black (literally). Red, though, would create confusion with the Pure Sith, but technically a Zabrak could be red. Mind you, as we are playing in the old galaxy, they could decide that red Zabraks originated from some who became too close to Siths (?). Otherwise said, way back then, maybe the only red Zabraks are those born under Sith control. Second, tattoos : Zabrak can all have wicked looking tattoos in Star Wars (have not checked in SWTOR), but some tattoos in SWTOR, as mentioned, are the Sith ones (fair enough). Anyhow, there are so many species missing for characters.
