  1. Has it been that long? Wow! I just resubbed and this post came blasting back from the past.
  2. Sensor? is there a sensor that improves crafting?
  3. @alodar Sorry if you answered this already but the signal to noise is pretty thick here. Were you able to determine what is any the increase in success and criticals was from improving companion affection? I'm wondering if the changes seen here for high end missions isn't really a change to focusing more on affection for improved results. I'm seeing something similar in my crafting. My high affection characters seem to have dramatically increased their critical returns.
  4. Yes thank you. I thought it read that if you wanted say "Endowment" it might be best to start with a tier0 that didn;t have critical or surge but instead go for more variety in the final product.
  5. Great read. Thank you. Could you clarify the "stacking" issue posted here:
  6. Great post. Good understanding of the mechanic as far as I can see. "The system is set up to discourage one person from getting everything." Yes it is. This guy sells A and that guy sells B. Both A and B are great to have. I don't see any reason why one person should easily sell *** "special" or "exotic" items. I like it this way. And I'm sure you're right. It was designed this way on purpose.
  7. Ah yes. Of course. Thanks for the clarification. Hadn't made that leap.
  8. Really? The tool tip seems to indicate it works for "all damage". I'm interested because I'm just a click away from taking that form.
  9. What's your spec look like? I've seen a few of your posts and I can;t decide between vig and def and think a hybrid might be just my style. Mostly pve solo or small group. No guild raids etc. to worry about but when I'm in my friend group I need to be able to tank some flashpoints etc.
  10. I took chem. Having vast supplies of 15 second armor buffs, med packs unlimited, etc. just make soloing life a lot easier. When I'm on elite fights these types of items are actually in my rotation.
  11. Just a little note from a dev* about devs. Devs don't read a lot of posts generally. At big companies people do that for them. Regardless of who reads them there are some basic rules - we don't really have much interest in posts that call for DEVS!!! - we have posters whose name we recognize, some of them we trust, some of them we avoid - if you bump the same topic on three seperate threads you can assume that your name is recognize, you can also assume that you just joined list #2 - generally players who threaten to leave are either likely to leave soon anyway or a community cancer that you are better off without Just some advice. Worth what it cost. * I'm a prod on a small PvP only MMO for the last decade or so.
  12. Anecdotal but here's what I did. Needs test. - Using the SWTOR launcher I was getting 50-70 KBs. - Repeated restarts did not change this. - Tested connection using SpeedTest and found much higher bandwidth available. - Confirmed with ~600MBs Steam downloads - Tested router firewall and windows firewall on/off/settings, no change Fix(?) - Downloaded EA / Origin app - Launched SWTOR launcher from Origins - Maxed wireless d/l ~600KB/s It would be good if any one can confirm this. I'm not willing to retest since I now have an adequate d/l speed. My guess (and I am a 10 year veteran of MMO Live Team Production) is that the EA launcher has a preference for downloads. Publishers do tend to promote their own and in an enterprise of this size, well, left hand right hand and all...
  13. I'm running at 50KBs for the digital download. Should I just go to WalMart and buy the game and refund my digital download?
