  1. Since everyone and their dog have opinions, I thought I would dump mine here too. DISCLAIMER The opinions displayed here are my own, they are not necessarily correct, and yes, you are allowed a differing opinion. I am not going to be upset that you disagree with my opinion, since, hey, everyone has one so try not be be offended if my opinion doesn't line up with your own With that out the way. *SPOILER ALERT* Knights of a fallen empire add a fair amount of story content that really does well to follow on from the events of Revan and Yavin IV. My first play through was with the Jedi knight. As far as an overarching story goes, it feels SW:TOR has been written to fit the jedi knight. Overall I felt the story was engaging, though at times it felt a little slow (namely the part in the endless swamp), I felt a few of the missions in this area were thrown in to add run time to the story. Aside from that and a few lines of dialogue that just seemed awkward or out of place, I enjoyed the story. I found a few of dialogue choices to be strange, but I imagine they make more sense on other classes. Skip forward to final few chapters. As the story reaches it's climax I felt myself getting really engaged with the goings on. I liked the majority of the cast, appreciated the cameo's from other classes companions, and having T7 along for the ride gave me hope at finding my other companions in the future. I enjoyed the final battle, and the few twists and turns that came along with it, but I was left with a bitter taste, I understand BW wanted to let us know the Emperor had done good for the Eternal Empire, and that he was loved by the people, well respected and such, but to me this felt really forced. I felt like they wanted me to accept this is now a good guy, and that we should forgot he literally wiped out a planet of people. I want to see where BW will go with this, but I just didn't enjoy how much I felt it was forced onto me that the Emperor is now an "ally" End Game The introduction to the end game content was very well done, the best attempt from BW so far in my honest opinion. I enjoyed being introduced to my "team", although the choice of "Inspiring Speach/Oppressive Speach" seemed a bit silly, I would rather actually choose my speech as I go along. Another positive of the end game is the way companion introductions are do, we get to start recruiting for our alliance, picking and choosing who we will accept, or turn down in some cases, with multiple different side quests. Unfortunately that is where the positives stop. End game quickly becomes grind dailies for "supplied" which you need to recruit people. Go and kill old world bosses to earn reputation. I know some people don't mind this, personally, I am bored of the old dailies, I was hoping to earn this reputation by simply playing the story and in doing such it would give me reason to change between my different companions. Nope, not really, once you reach end game you will start getting companion gifts thrown at you left right and center to build up the reputation with your companions. And you will be expected to run threw what is essentially the same flashpoint multiple times in solo/heroic 2+ (depending on if you want achievements and such) in order to unlock the different companions. my final issue is although I like the option to collect all these companions, many of them feel very bland. I feel no real connection to them and they don't have stories (yet) for me to learn more about them. So I can end on a positive, I did actually enjoy the homage to the Kotor games, and I understand the decision to make only the NPC's voiced, I certainly prefer it to having text quests. Finally I did enjoy receiving the few letters from my companions, sent from the past, sort of telling the story of how my crew broke up. On a final note, I am currently doing a second and third play through on my smuggler and inquisitor respectively, so far, I am really not enjoying the play through as much, the smuggler just feels so out of place compared to the jedi (although some of the more dark side choices make more sense), I have done my best to pick different options in each play through, and 0 difference has it made to the story so far, bar maybe 1 or 2 lines of dialogue. This is disappointing, I know the overarching story can't change, that makes sense, but the fact that nothing changes in any way, it is disappointing, I only hope in future chapters the decisions I have made thus far have some impact . (I am not far enough into the inquisitor story to comment much and I only hope it impresses me more than the smuggler has thus far. Thanks for taking the time to read. I look forward to reading your own opinions TL;DR 7/10 play once, wait for new chapters.

  3. A question for people that have used the boost already, what happens when you make said character? I assume you start with your companions, but do you get to do their stories? Speak to them? Can if you choose, go back and do your class story? Thanks for replies in advance
  4. For those of us that only resubbed recently, what time can we expect the fallen empire to become available I have been avoiding all content for the last week and I am really hyped so just wondering thanks in advance
  5. Spark of Insanity will be streaming tonight's raid of Dread Fortress including explanation's for each boss Come check us out at: http://www.twitch.tv/arcuran1994
  6. Welcome to SWTOR, I have been playing since release, I disagree with a lot of your suggestions, but yeah, this has become a money sink, which is due to EA, all I can say is, you are paying a sub, you have access to everything without spending more money. Just takes time, make sure you do every quest while leveling and you will have no problem
  7. I wrote down my opinions, people are free to disagree. In fact I respect many of the people that did, because they gave reasons as to why the liked it. Yes I did make this thread to get people to reply, otherwise what is the point in a thread? You on the other hand just commented to look for an argument and to seek attention. So please grow up and don't bother commenting just to insult people. If you are going to comment make a reasonable argument as to why you disagree. Unfortunately /yawn makes you seem sad a pathetic.
  8. okay clearly have nothing better to do with you life, have fun.
  9. sorry, you were trying to make a point? No? Then nobody is interested, come back when you actually have something intelligent to say.
  10. I honestly never expected so many comments I have ready each and every one of them and I thank everyone that has commented so far both that agree and disagree with me. Keep on commenting but keep in civil, flaming is a big no no, we can all still be friends and disagree
  11. There is one thing that is starting to get more than a little annoying, I have a LS sentinel, that is forced to slay innocent droids and politicians to leave combat! That's just not right!
  12. Oh I agree, there is new content, but it still feels like the old stuff, this isnt much that makes me excited, s&v is not biowares best op, in my humble opinion. My problem isn't the amount of content coming out, in fact I am fine waiting, I waited years for this game, I would prefer the content that comes out though, to offer a greater challenge and be of slightly better quality, that isnt me saying it is bad, but I have come to expect more of bioware, that is only because I regard them as possibly the best makers in the RPG genre, before people complain at me and say this still isnt an RPG, I am aware, I have played several MMO's but they are MMORPG's, at their core, for me anyway, they should be RPG's and I feel bioware is capable of better than they have shown with RotHC
  13. I agree with most of what you said, but there is still a huge proportion of people that will level 1 or 2 lvl 55's really quickly, for example people in guilds, many people saved up all their dailys to hand in as soon as the early access began, myself included, then leveled as a group, doing this with all the experience boosts avaliable made leveling really quick, that isnt to say they didnt enjoy it, infact, it is more fun with a group of 4. It is just quick.
  14. Hi, this is the OP, and I respect the points you said about KOTOR, maybe I am hyping it up, I played it not too long ago and I still love it. I felt I needed to post to reiterate, I by no means hate SWTOR or RotHC, in fact, I really do like them both, but for RotHC I expected more, so for me it fails to reach the expectations I set. Now, I am not saying it is biowares fault, it probably is mine, but I want this game to be the best it can and that is why I made this and in other posts I have sugguested how it can be improved if you care to read through and find them. Maybe the decisions made in KOTOR made no real difference to the final story, but they felt a lot more impactful. I understand it is difficult to do in an MMO, but I felt bioware could have done a better job of it, again this is all just my opinion and everyone is entitled to disagree, which I am sure they will. Also, I have stated before, I don't mean to call it a failure, I made it a title so people would read, think of it like advertising, things over vastly over exaggerated in order to get people to read. So I apologize to anyone I misguided. Anyhow, thank you all who have made reasonable and well thought out comments and have taken the time to reply. I will be keeping an eye on this thread and try to reply regularly
  15. KOTOR was an RPG that this game is based on, there are a lot of comparitable aspects of an RPG and a MMORPG (see is also an RPG) yes the MMO will never quite have the same level of story telling, but I think it is fair to compare a game the game it was based around. Anyhow, I know this game is not a failure, if you read through my posts, I think this game is very good, and like you say it could be better, this just offers my opinions on where it could improve and later some sugguestions on how it can improve.
