  1. Ehh I agree and disagree. Sure it's the writer/director/studio that is making whatever, so they are free to make it how they want. But to me continuation of IPs are done for the fans, so naturally fans are going to have expectations. Also, when they (being those in charge) go in the direction of putting out a movie or game and are focused on making money rather than making a good movie or game, then it suffers in the end. SWTOR's Cartel Market case-in-point in my opinion hehe . And seeing as how Disney already has the next trilogy in the works when we're not even done with this one, Disney seems to want to have Star Wars mimic MCU's unique success.
  2. There are some things you just don't do in the world. One is you don't **** with Star Wars, and stemming from that, you don't **** with Star Wars fans. SOE learned this the hard way, EA learned this the hard way, and the new movies seem to partly be following suit.
  3. It is a fun idea to think of, though I don't think they would ever do it. By nature of having out multiple companions it makes you more powerful, but I thought that in a hypothetical situation it could be somewhat balanced out as follows. A stacking debuff gets put on each additional companion you summon out. First companion - full strength Second companion - effectiveness (dps and healing in other words) decreased by 1/2............. or 25% decrease Third companion - effectiveness decreased by 1/2 again (1/4 of full strength)............................. 50% decrease Fourth companion - effectiveness decreased by 1/2 again (1/8 of full strength)........................... 75% decrease Kind of fun to think about because people can come up with different combinations. Tank/DPSx3, Tank/Heal/DPSx2, Healx4 (lol). Also kind of fun to think about because finally you would be a Commander and actually getting to manage troops in battle and feel like your character is actually making decisions instead of Lana do it all.
  4. With a matching voiced emote to go with it........ "Some cool name"- you stand in a commanding authoritative pose and point to someone and then to the ground while Valkorian voice says "Kneel before ZOD! (or the Dragon of Zakuul!)", I'm good with either hehe.
  5. Prepare for the return of the greatest movie series of all time! It premiers on SyFy on August 6 this weekend. Long live Fin Shepard!
  6. Make it another HK-55 / ZOOM (Z0-OM) mission but you play as ZOOM this time, that would be fun. Of course you would probably need to have ZOOM in the first place which not everyone does, but BW could probably just make her someone you temporarily play as even if you don't have her.
  7. BW's probable response: "Sorry, these items were incorrectly labeled as being part of this pack. To get these cool decorations you need to wait for a future cartel pack and spend more money."
  8. Players wanted Manaan. Players got Manaan. Players disappointed with Manaan. Seems less like BW's fault and more like players' fault.
  9. Give stealthers a new ability "Here Comes The BOOM!". Only usable while in stealth, only usable in pvp zone, 2 second cast, and a 5 minute cool down. When activated you pop out of stealth, strike a pose, and everyone in a 20 meter radius goes BOOM for 200k damage. MUAHAHAHAHA!! The Gravestone as a customizable player house/ship. When you're on it you can see your class ship in the hanger. Can unlock more rooms/levels on the Gravestone, etc. Pod racing. Can customize your own pod racer from tons of options that affect various stats, can change colors of of the pod. Each planet has their own unique track, of course planets like Korriban are only available to Imperials and same for Republic only planets. No "pod racer queue" like for PvP/flashpoints/etc, must be in the track area and talk to the race organizer to be put in the queue....... get up off your butts off Fleet and walk around, get some immersion going. Races get filled with NPCs after a certain point if not enough players to fill a queue. Monthly championship race held on a planet that rotates every month. Various power ups spawn during a race: lasers, missiles, shields, etc. Or you can purchase various pod racing abilities that correspond to your class and have a pod racing hotbar. Basically a kind of SWTOR style of Mario Kart.
  10. Special Valkorian companion like HK-51 and Treek a possibility? Would be so cool!
  11. Hey BW how about un-nerfing Force Storm a bit. It's so wimpy it can't even kill the wimpiest of NPCs without needing to cast it over 2 times.
  12. Nuh-uh, the first Massively Multiplayer On-a-line game was red rover! And you know someone's a troll if you're playing SWTOR and see someone trying to start Gorn jokes. I mean come on, it's Jawa jokes, get the game right.
  13. Great that you're still reading the thread. But kind of problematic because you guys rarely are ready to "discuss" anything until you've chosen a course of action. Which isn't really a discussion at that point but more telling us what's going to happen.... then the forums explode and then it's re-evaluating that course of action. It would still be nice to hear any sort of internal discussions you're having. NOT if you're leaning towards any side/course of action, but is there like a pro/con list or something, are you looking into guild/personal assets issues? I have been an advocate of server merges for a long time time, or rather mega servers as I kind of distinguish between the two. Mega servers being new servers created rather than simply merging servers 1 and 2 onto server 3. At least that way then if the whole names issue can't be solved at least it will be like it is now, the first person that gets it gets it. But I'm not an advocate because of queue times, as someone that doesn't play much that makes little difference to me. It's mainly practicality for me. If I'm remembering correctly in the beginning there were X amount of servers with a Y population cap per server so everything was always full. Then BW created more servers (~120 US in total) and increased pop cap to something like 2000. Then eventually servers were merged because it was impractical to have that many servers for the amount of people playing. Today I think we face a similar situation. With the amount of people playing it's just not practical to have 8 US servers when 3 would suffice (yes one for the unofficial RP server). I mean what's a servers limit today, at least 2000? Aside from Harbinger how many servers get close to half that on the best of days. On a side note I always wish people would stop using how many people are on Fleet as an indication of how "dead" or not a server is. If you're comparing Fleet population great, go for it. But if you're trying to reference the population of the server (or faction) at least multiply that number by 2-4 to account for every other zone that exists besides just Fleet (and add 1 for that one person doing space missions ), and then double that number because there is another faction.
  14. They could change it so instead of just ignoring the character it ignores the account the character is on and increase the cap a bit, 100 maybe.
  15. Guaranteed platinum in every pack would feel rewarding, I guarantee it.
