  1. This is the issue when a console game company attempts to make an online progressive game. They still have the mentality that people will want to play the game over and over again. Players that come to online MMOs expect new things to do pretty regularly. I came back to the game a few months ago, and was excited about all the content I had missed....at first. Once I had done most of, if not all of, the content I had missed I started focusing on the new Revan content....now that I am progressing through Hard Modes, I find myself not even bothering to log in until raid time. This game is beginning to lack replay-ability. Your choices in the conversation do not really make that much of a difference (all it seems to change is the junk mail you receive). Without new operations, flashpoints, or PvP content....a lot of the player-base will fall off. These rotating weekly events are only fun the first 2 or 3 times, then they feel like a chore, same with the current operations content. It will feel like a daily/weekly chore I have to do instead of something fun! I am curious what Bioware expects PvE players to do after they have completed the new storyline content......I see a lot of unsubscribed players in the near future in no new content is coming out. Another theory is that Swtor is EXTREMELY limited on the content they can create since Disney bought Lucasarts. If that's the case, maybe it's time to pack up shop and move on (speaking to Bioware/EA). Its better to kill a game quickly, stating the actual issue, then try to drag it out and make the death more excruciating.
  2. You, sir, are the most entertaining and informative Mod I have EVER, and I do mean EVER, had the pleasure of reading. I especially love when you get frustrated with the trolls after you post some info up for the masses. Your anti-troll logic bombs are not only amazing and insightful, but hilarious sir...keep up the good work!
  3. So much flaming from the vocal minority. I look at this event as Bioware coming out and saying "Hey guys, were a little in over our heads here as far as what you want from us, were gonna sit down and figure this out". You can only get so much info from the player base via forums before you want to punch someone due to the trolls ruining good arguments or derailing forum topics altogether. Hopefully the imput taken from this "summit" is taken to account on all fronts. There are multiple "tiers" of each gametype (PvE, PvP, and RP) and hopefully all these styles will be rrepresented on equal footing Also, I can't wait to see how the community imput will be recieved from this. I hope there is some type of live stream or internet broadcast I can watch to see whats happening with this!
  4. I am more concerned then anything of what impact this summit will have on the community dynamic as a whole. I.E. if you only invite/accept hard core gamers to the convention, will the game begin catering to them? same goes for the casual gamers, if they are more represented in the "summit" will the game become more casual (ala WoW)? I have applied to have my guild represented as I have several officers that live in the DFW area, however, how do I know that my guild's voice will be heard through the vocal minority? How do I know that the smaller casual guild will be neither elevated, nor ignored? I hope that this summit allows for equal consideration, and puts both/all types of guild up for equal consideration.
  5. Agreed, at least the tokens need to be intuitive to what classes are in each FP. We cleared 3 diff. FPs yesterday, and only 1 piece of gear was usable from ANY of the bosses in our 4 SI group. (2 SAs 2 SSs) After that we all decided to quit for the day as no loot was dropping for us. In BT HM it seems that the bracers always drop for a class in the FP. In 4 runs everyone had the bracers. The last piece of gear not being intuitive of class, IMO, punishes the more popular classes. I honestly want to re-roll just so I can get some loot from HM bosses from time to time. Oh, and BTW, Rift has this problem currently with Cleric and Rogue gear. It drops like rain, causing allot of players to just re-roll to those classes, and killing any/all class diversity for endgame players.
  6. I am not a game designer, nor do I aspire to be one. But shouldn't these improvements have been ironed out before launch? The more and more I look at the bugs and problems that are going on with this game, the more and more it feels like this game was released a wee bit early. If it was please come out and say it. On the flip side, this is Biowares 1st big MMORPG (that I know of), so I have been extreamly patient with some of it as it seems to be a "learning as we go" type process. The game is amazing for what its worth, I do enjoy playing the game with my friends, I would just like to see a little more polish for a game that has a higher box price then most MMOs out there, and requires a monthly sub. fee.
  7. The PUG I was tanking for and I decided to do Directive 7, we get to the Interogator boss, and it kept replicating 4 copies of the IA in our group...causing us to wipe. Put the ticket in, just wanted to know if anyone else has been seeing this? It does appear to only be the IA in our group, it replicated the rest of us as it is supposed too, but it kept making 4 of the IA for some reason.
  8. When you are spaming your AOEs, whither being one of them, having that Harnesed Darnkess proc would be nice. The reset off assassinate does work, but its only a 50% chance to refresh shock on the Energize talent.
  9. just a thought, macros would solve all these problems....asside from the big CDs....as we would all be just clicking 1 or 2 macro buttons lol
  10. So far, all you have suggested are PvP changes. I am a PvE player, and honestly, I do not care about PvP. I think thats where WoW, Rift, and multiple other MMOs have gone sour, when PvP became more important then PvE content..... Just my thoughts on it. Again I pose the question, how to we increase the threat gain of the jugg. class WITHOUT having a drastic change on the PvP scene?
  11. I have been seeing a lot of discussion on how the Sith Warrior Jugg. tank "sucks" but I am seeing no ideas on how to fix it (other then to go 14/27/0). My suggestion is to change "smash" so it generates a "high amount of threat" when Soresu form is active. This would have 0 effects on PvP balance, and would solve the threat issues 31 juggs are having right now. What are your suggesions? How will they effect pvp balance? Will the change be "too much"?
  12. Exactly why i rerolled after I hit 50 on my jugg. When juggs get fixed, ill pull my guy off the bench, till then, hes just my crafting/bank toon sadly....
  13. You can data mine base numbers from the game itself. oh and..... Its not a matter of if the class is viable, its a matter of the fact that the class is just not efficient as the other 2 tanking classes. Juggs have to work a hell of a lot harder for threat then SAs or PTs do. They have little to no AoE capability, and there single target threat in most cases requires the heavy hitting DPS to chill for a few seconds and waste valuable DPS time while the SW gets a threat lead. SWs need 1 big change. When in soresu form, Smash should deal a high amount of threat, not just deal damage and reduce the enemies accuracy. This would have 0 affect on PvP balance, and would give the SW something to use to spam higher AoE and Single target threat. Maraders, from what I am told, right now, you poor poor souls have less damage reduction from armor then...well....any other class......yea.....yall be in a world of hurt. There numbers are outstanding, however, dead dps is still 0
  14. i love double lag posting, its so fun.
  15. I would like to add to this that Crew missions should deposit there mats directly into the vault aswell, having all that stuff in your bag is a pain in the behind
