  1. Yet another feature of the patch that they either A)Lied about B)have no idea what they are talking about. It's kind of sad just how clueless the devs are about their own game.
  2. The worst part is, this isn't even "outdated info." When I mouseover a piece of gear, it shows the original set bonus. However, mousing over any OTHER gear shows the new set bonus. However, none of the set bonuses actually work. As in, I have no set bonuses right now, even though I have 3 different 2 sets and 4 sets displaying.
  3. How do you not already know about this? We've been submitting tickets about this issue since BETA. BETA. YES, BETA. Do you just close our bug reports without reading them, then act surprised when people post about it on the forums?
  4. Except this isn't true at all. My Combat Medic Gauntlets now have the Combat Tech Set bonus (even though I didn't change the armoring in this one). Mousing over a Combat Tech piece shows that my Vindicator's Boots are a part of the Combat Tech set bonus. The bug is in that the displayed set bonus doesn't actually exist (no effect). Also, mousing over the modded gear doesn't show the new set bonus, only mousing over an existing piece of the same set.
  5. Actually, I read that thread. All they said was that the new system would NOT WORK for Champion and below gear. BM gear was confirmed to work. They've said this multiple times, even confirming that our BM gear will transfer over in the Patch.
  6. Will they refund all the money that I've spent ripping mods out? Will I get refunded the time that I spent trying to make their buggy mess work? No. So, all I'm getting out of 1.2 is that they canceled Rated WZs. I can't even run dungeons/raids/PvP because my gear is completely trashed right now. If they are going to delay Rated WZs because it wasn't ready, why would they release a armoring/set bonus system that DOES NOT WORK? Good news is, I just got a e-mail telling me they are giving me one free month. Great, one free month of a game I'll never play ever again.
  7. Here are the issues that I've encountered so far: - Old BM gear failed to completely convert into new BM gear. I put all the original mods and enhancements in my old BM gear pre-patch. Post patch, only the enhancements converted to have expertise. None of the mods converted (no expertise). - Set bonuses DO NOT transfer over based on armoring. I replaced the armoring in a set of Vindicator PvP gear. My set bonus is still showing as 2 piece Vindicator. In fact, my Combat Medic Gauntlets (which I have never touched) now seem to belong to the Combat Tech set bonus. If you mouse over a Combat Tech piece, it shows that I have Tech gauntlets. However, mousing over the Medic Gauntlets, it shows that I have 2 piece Medic equipped. A test shows that I do NOT actually gain benefit from the 2 piece Medic set, even though it displays that I have it. - None of the armorings have anything kind of tooltip showing you what set bonus they are supposed to grant. At this point, I have no idea what armoring has what set bonus anymore, since none of it works. TL;DR - Armoring does not transfer set bonuses in BM gear. Even set bonuses that are displaying as active DO NOT actually grant the benefit. There is no way to tell what set bonuses specific armorings grant (if any). The entire system is broken.
  8. Actually we are complaining about the lack of content. Yes, it's great that they decided NOT to release bugged content. BUT, why is this content not ready in the first place? Bioware had 4 months to release any kind of viable PvP endgame. Is it really too much to expect actual progess? I suppose you would be thanking Bioware for never releasing any new content, ever, because they can keep telling you it's not ready.
  9. I'm pretty sure it was to ensure we were subbed at least for the month of April. This is why 1.2 was delayed from end of March to early April, and why they waited until the last second to let us know. Honestly, this doesn't even surprise me. I mean, look at ME3: day 1 DLCs, Steam locked out. I guess it's true, SWTOR is just another money grab by EA/Bioware.
  10. That's like saying no car company should ever have to improve on the Model T, since they should be judged on what the standard was 7 years ago, not currently.
  11. Actually, if you read their post, the wording makes it sound like they will roll out 8 man queueing in the future, not in 1.2. Also, I posted this in another thread, but it's a good fit here: What will PvP endgame content be in 1.2? - Players will be discouraged from going to Ilum because the devs feel it doesn't live up to their standards. - There is really no world pvp since all quest areas on almost all planets are completely separated. - Outlaw's Den has been, and will continue to be, a non-factor. Yes, you can organize your own events there. No, that doesn't count as "PvP Endgame Content." Essentially, the only content in 1.2 that will be available to PvPers is normal Warzones. Imagine the outrage if the game launched with only Flashpoints, but no Operations. Imagine if the first Operation was slated to come out in 1.2. Imagine if less than 1 day before 1.2 is set to launch, Bioware announces that the Operation will be canceled. This is exactly how all of the PvPers feel right now. The good news is that Guild Wars 2 Beta weekends will be starting in 2 to 3 weeks.

  13. Expertise is being added to all mods and enhancements in BM gear. If you don't get your stuff to transfer in patch, then you'll be missing quite a bit of expertise.
  14. I've always hated the giggle. I'm just glad they are getting rid of it.
