Didn't report your post, but returning players who have question regarding performance because they worry about pve and especially pvp balance in 2019, is understandable in my opinion, perhaps it's not yours. I didn't see your post, but from what you write here, it seems that this tread is making you upset. Why don't you just do something else, you are not really helpful, forum is full of other topics. Of course you do what you want, and so do other people, if you don't like their questions, no one forces you to answer; and if this has been addressed already in the past, keep in mind that we are not all hooked all year on this forum, and that some of us are returning after few months or years. I didn't know it was a crime to ask about the state of a class, doesn't piss me off when a new player ask class questions online on the fleet, and if it would, then I wouldn't answer. Swtor is not leading my life, but it seem pretty important to some, maybe too much.

The single target dps is a joke compare to other class. But I am glad to read that you were asked to use a lightning sorcerer in a team. My point is not to demolish publicly the class, and your feedback is interesting. Perhaps I can be wrong on some points, but when fighting the same opponents with different classes I can notice a sever difference.

I am using my sorcerer pretty well, maybe I didn't explain correctly. What bothers me is that the class and spec is one of the worst dps, in pvp and pve. The spec is still bad, worst than many other specs. That is my point.

I know this has been addressed already, but... are they kidding?! Lightning is crap, and it should be a dps spec, but instead it's the worst speck in term of damage output. I play since 2012, and I think Bioware does a good job, but if Sorcerer is only viable as a healer, I will go play another mmo. And there is a guy who is saying that Lightning is still the best dps speck for operations, but I think he drinks too much coffee or something. So, after my childish complain I would like to know, if they plan on putting back lightning to a decent level. And I am not only speaking for myself here, think about all these new players forced to change class after hitting 70, because they found out that this speck is sooooo bad. Bioware, you are my favorite gaming company, do something please, and I would appreciate a feedback on what is planned in a near future for this class, because it is my favorite class and I am certain that I am not the only one. And don't tell me to play Merc, cause I hate these truck drivers, they are lacking in style, and I hate to be forced to play flavor of the year class.

The poster asked wich class where better at pvp. So, I won't give you the "play whatever you like" crappy answer that is totally missing the point and try to help. The following comments are for regular 8 vs 8 Arenas. Sorcerer: lets start with the poor sorcerer; well, it has been my favorite class and I have been playing 6 years with some pauses, so I can tell that this class is the least performing for me right now, when it comes to damage (5.7) - (I don't play Powertech/Vanguards though). But that being said, it is still a viable class, since all the cool utility powers it has, plus you get a lightsaber (wich looks cool) and are ranged (easier). If you like to run all around and spread dots on everyone, you might consider Madness spec. Juggs: some say that this is one of the least performing class, I don't think so. I play vengeance, I am unstoppable, I cut through weak opponents like fire through butter, and catch me if you can. Awesome class for getting medals. No need to say that I love this class/spec. Maras: pain in the *** if you get one of these chasing you without a healer to back you up, and they can vanish when it gets dangerous. Plus this kind of "vanish" cannot be cancelled with AOE, dots, etc. Why play a sin? I am not sure myself. Good overall class, nasty damage output, defense is fine. If you like nervous gameplay, try this! Mercenaries: Best class right now, they say. It's kind of true, very good defense and damage. If you like to run everywhere and do good damage, this class might be for you. Snipers: in pvp go Engeneering spec and watch them burn and get slowed, while craying for their momies. This is my favorite class/spec with Vengeance Jugg. Awesome damage, not the most mobile class. Sins: Assassins, are fine I would say, just fine. I would recommend to play this class to take/defend nodes. Agents: same as above. These comments are based on my game experience. May the Force be with you and frag em all.

I mean when you really think about it, should someone with the defenses of a tank be doing just as much damage, if not more than actual DPS specs? No, they shouldn't, it imbalancing. They're a tank spec, they should have lower DPS than any DPS spec. The same issues people have with mercs and snipers [High DPS and high survivability due to DCDs and self heals] is represented in Skank tanks as well. I would however say I don't think that they are quite on the same level of OPness that mercs and snipers are, but, they are over performing and are just as guilty of hybridization effects." Thank you for your reply. I don't want to play fotm class, that is why I asked top 5, so I can decide wich of my alts will go for ranked pvp. I could go for Merc, since I did pvp with it and it was kind of easy (too easy, and a bit dull in fact); but I love light sabers So I guess I will continue with mara. I wanted to know what ranked players had in mind about: jugg, mara and sins , since I love these class. Perhaps I should have asked wich spec as well. But I am already happy with this answer, I have all class at lvl 70 but reaching full 248 set will take lots of time and I need to focus on one toon to begin with.
