  1. Thanks for the feedback Lunafox, its much appreciated. I am working through all the changes in the game since i left..wow.. my highest toon is a 55 agent. Sooo it looks like i am just going to start over to get back into things. I am working on book II and the research is ongoing. Had I read the books I have now, BEFORE I started the first story, I think it would have been much better. I had only minor knowledge of the old Je'Daii and how they viewed the force. The source material holds a much larger understanding of what a Jedi or Sith would look like if he/she was balanced within vs the current model. I am a HUGE Trek fan but I have to be very honest and say that the history and story potential in the Star Wars universe is much larger and provides an almost endless landscape with which to work. Cheers.
  2. Just returned to SWTOR so I thought I would finally post the last chapter Chapter 38 Aftermath The guards were not Sith, but regular imperials. They had little interest in politics and had already accepted the change in power. The commander of the guards stepped forward, snapped a salute, and asked if there were any orders. Ty'karus ignored the soldiers and told the commander he would want to speak with him later in the day. He acknowledged the order and he and his men returned to their posts. The general house staff lingered until Ty'karus waved them away, at which point they all beat a hasty retreat. Akita and Valenya stood beside him but did not drop their cold Sith façade's. 'Just one last act, then I can get some rest' he thought. Ty'karus looked at the two acolytes and Volith's apprentice Pzaxim Tan. He waved them forward, the two acolytes darted to a spot just a few feet in front of him. Pzaxim was slow to respond, he pushed his way between the two acolytes and stood before Ty'karus with his arms folded over his chest. Ty'karus gave him a passing smile. Ty'karus let his eyes move between the three of them. The acolytes kept their eyes down, and their emotions in check. Pzaxim's thoughts flitted between hate and revenge. In any other Sith house under any other Sith master, he would be the prize out of the three. The acolytes had only recently arrived from Korriban and had not completed their training. Ty'karus smiled at Pzaxim. "You are full of rage and thoughts of revenge. You are like a weapon on overload just waiting to explode. All you care about is your hate and rage." Pzaxim sneered at him. Ty'karus pulled his saber and cleaved the apprentice in half with one clean strike. Valenya and Akita lost their focus, as shock was clear on their faces. The acolytes jumped back avoiding the two halves of Pzaxim Tan as they fell to the floor. Ty'karus secured his saber and smiled at the two acolytes. Both looked no older than eighteen, the female was Rattataki, the muscular male a human. "I don't need explosive weapons." His voice was an ice cold whisper, he stepped close. Their eyes were wide, he reached out a hand and placed his index finger under the chin of the Rattataki acolyte lifting her face to meet his. He leaned in so that his lips almost touched hers. "I need surgical tools, capable of self-control." He turned his head and pulled the human's face close to his. "I want weapons that can sneak and slither past my enemies and sit quietly. Waiting for my order to act." As he pulled his hands from their faces they could see that bright tendrils of lightning dancing across his fingers. "You have no will but mine, understand?" Both dropped to the floor on their knees. "Yes master!" Ty'karus dismissed them with a wave of his hand. With all ears out of the area, Akita and Valenya approached him. "What was that about?" Valenya pointed to Pzaxim's corpse on the floor. "I needed to send a message." He gave her a cold stare. Valenya held his gaze for a moment then stepped back. "Yes my master." She bowed her head. Akita gave him a look "Remember when I said you didn't scare me anymore? I was wrong." She gave him a look that was both excitement and fear. Valenya and Akita were recovering when Rosk stepped out of the study with his assistant. "My lord. I've completed the required confirmation and the relevant paperwork has been sent to the ministry of logistics and the Sith Academy." He looked at his wrist chrono. "Official transfer of power should be completed within the next hour." Rosk handed him a bag bearing the markings of the Sith and Imperial Logistics. Ty'karus looked inside the bag. The most prominent items were a set of security keys. Ty'karus pulled them out and tucked them safely away in one of his belt pouches. "I will see to the disposition of his body. I placed his saber on the table my lord." Rosk bowed deeply. Ty'karus thanked him then sent him on his way. Ty'karus spent the next hour speaking with various officials via comms in the command office. He was wondering why he had never given thought to what happens after an apprentice kills one's master. 'Nobody mentioned the blasted paperwork.' He thought. He snapped his fingers at a manager droid, it immediately rushed to his side. It was black with red accents and symbols on its right shoulder. "What is your designation?" he immediately regretted the question. He quickly held up his hand and the droid paused. "You are now designated First. Understand?" the droid nodded 'Yes master." It fell silent again. "Very well, First, you will arrange for my personal belongings to be brought from my old home." First gave him a quick acknowledgement and headed off towards one of the communication consoles. 'Best conversations I have ever had with a droid.' He smiled to himself. Ty'karus spoke briefly with the security chief and Rosk. They left the command office at a brisk pace, Valenya and Akita fell in next to their master. They entered the lift and Rosk hit the keypad. Ty'karus keyed the internal comm unit in the elevator. "Security this is Ty'karus escort that slave to the holding cell." There was a pause then a response. "Sir he is already on his way." Ty'karus confirmed and deactivated the comm unit. They stepped out of the elevator and proceeded down a hall full of armored doors. "Chief how many of these cells are occupied?" the chief glanced nervously at a data pad in his hand. "All of them my lord." Ty'karus looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "When we are done here I am going to need a briefing on each. I know you're new, it's my fault, after all, so I can hardly hold you responsible for not being up to speed. But I am only so forgiving. Understood chief?" the chief nodded his head vigorously. "I will have the information as soon as possible my lord." He assured. They entered a holding area at the end of the hall. Sitting at a table in chains was Kwiee, he had a split lip and a number of bruises on his face. The fear in his face grew when he saw Ty'karus enter the room. The two guards grabbed hold of him as he tried to push away from the table. On the other side of the room was a well-dressed male slave, his eyes downcast. Ty'karus pointed at Kwiee. "Remove his shackles." The guard complied immediately. Kwiee gave him a confused look. "Lord Mott is dead. You work for me now, understand?" Kwiee shook his head, he croaked out a weak "Yes my lord," and sat back down in the chair. "I understand why you made the play you did. In your situation, I would have done the same." He held up a finger. "That is the only time you will work against me so long as you both live." Kwiee had the look of a man in shock. "Get him some water and make a note in whatever log you need to that he is in my good graces." the guard closest to him snapped to attention and left to get water for Kwiee. Rosk waved the other guards out. "Kwiee you may visit your friend anytime you are here. I will allow his duties to be suspended any time he is with you." Ty'karus reached out his hand, the slave lifted off his feet into the air, his hands clutching at his throat. "Tell me I don't need to explain to you what happens if I ever have reason to doubt your loyalty?" Kwiee's eyes were wide. The smell of surrender permeated the room. His pointed had been made. "No my lord. I swear you won't ever have cause." His voice was pleading. Ty'karus released the slave and left them. They spent the next few hours looking through the estate. Ty'karus tested all of the doors with the security keys and found only one door that the keys did not open. The door was in the throne room behind one of the draped areas. It had a biometric security system along with an alphanumeric keypad. Ty'karus was about to use his lightsaber when something made him hesitate. He opened himself to the force and felt it respond. It was behind the door waiting for him. It wanted him to find it, he heard it whispering in his mind. Ty'karus left the room only to return a few minutes later with Lord Mott's cybernetic hand, he placed it against the security pad and the light turned green. He looked at the alphanumeric pad and let go. He stood there waiting listening and breathing until he felt his hand move, he gave no resistance. He trusted the force and the whispers in the room behind the wall. There was a click as his fingers finished inputting the code and the door slid open. Akita let out a quiet "Wow!" Valenya covered her mouth to stifle her surprise. The room beyond the door was about fifteen feet long and had just enough space to let two people walk shoulder to shoulder. The room held shelves that went from the floor to the ceiling, the lighting was deep red rather than a cool white. The shelves held all manner of items, there were three ornate lightsaber's, he noticed a pot with ancient markings, and a manuscript suspended in a glass case. He let his eyes pass over the items until he saw it. There in the back sitting in an anti grav field was the holocron, the source of the whispers. He reached for it but stopped at the last moment, instead he just let his fingers sit over the cube. The cube whispered to him, it asked him questions and painted pictures in his mind. He answered the questions and looked in wonder at the things it showed him. It told him of a place where power was stored. A place that could give him the tools to bring together others like him. The path would not be easy, it assured him, but if he was dedicated it would help him. Valenya shook him, Ty'karus blinked and returned to the here and now. "Master are you alright?! We were getting worried." He gave them a curious look. "Worried why?" his mind was clearing, he was filled with an excitement unlike anything he had known before. "You were standing there for almost two hours." He smiled at Valenya and Akita. "Come, we have work to do." THE END….

  6. Thanks for the feedback. I agree on the formatting and it is posted that way. Sadly I am having some issues due to where I am posting from and the secure browser I am using. Formatting seems to go to heck. Will add some additional hard stops to try and separate the text more clearly. Very happy you are enjoying the story. I will be posting another chapter tonight to try and make up for lost time. Cheers.
  7. Apologies for the delay between posts but life has been getting in the way. Chapter 27 Underworld
