  1. There is so much hate because of EA's stupid business model forced onto this game. They charge for the smallest things that should just be free to everyone. SWTOR f2p model is about the worst I've ever seen and even worse they even ask more money out of current subscribers, The cathar should be a free unlock for subbed people and so should the Appearance Designer Kiosks ( excluding species change).
  2. This isn't any other Bioware RPG though, it's an MMORPG and Bioware didn't really get the MMO part right, even a theme park MMO should let you off the rails every now and then, The game really seems to discourage exploring places just because you feel like it. Even finding DataCrons is a on rails experience, as the only way to get to them is path bioware designed you to go down with no alternative roots.
  3. Oh yeah the trees like a little better great...., how bout you get to things people really want and have been asking for since freaking launch like a ready check...
  4. https://account.swtor.com/user/digitalupgrade there. That's all your going to get, they won't allow people to upgrade to the collectors edition level, the whole point collectors editions is to be rare and get them while they last as they will never sell them again.
  5. I've read the feature chart, and all those limited access things don't affect me as i play the game causally anyway and at the end of the day you still have access to all warzones, flashpoints and space missions. So i really don't see this 50%, maybe this is true if you are hardcore player but not many MMO player are these days, i mean who has the time...
  6. Your missing the point, currently I have no real choice, as everyone else, I need to pay a sub to play the game, however when F2P comes along the game becomes 90% free, why I should continue to pay the same sub price for the rest that isn't free. Or put it even more simply, right now sub = paying for 100% of game with F2P, sub = paying to unlock the other 10% of the game And it will still cost $15 a month same as it did before.
  7. as I play the game very casually most of the limits of the F2P option wouldn't bother me however I do want to raid. Therefore i will need to keep paying a sub but this is the only reason i would, so am i willing to pay $15 a month just so i can raid once or twice a week for a few hours? the answer is probably not and I really hope bioware thinks about players like myself (the casual raider) that they will annoy with the currently planned system. I believe they either need to allow F2P players a way to gain access to Operations (possibly a one time micro-transaction) or they will have to reduce the sub price to a justifiable level as the game will soon become 90% free and I'm not paying $15 a month for the other 10%.
  8. No that's a bad idea, just make a new sub server and allow subscribed players to transfer to it if they so choose. Personally I will be sticking to my Current server and will gladly see the leaving of those who think they're better than someone because they pay a sub and shouldn't have to deal with poor people
  9. not saying my system is top of the range but it should be more then enough for any current MMO, which it well and truly is for all, except when it comes to SWTOR. I mean GW2 in beta runs smoother and loads faster on my system than SWTOR does after 7 months of being released. Anyway done talking about load times and frame rate as it's starting to derail the thread.
  10. Sitting on a 3.4ghz quad core and a gtx 560 and even on the lowest quality setting i still got 15fps in the Ilum PVP area, it's an engine issue, i've played gw2 open world pvp with twice as many players at higher graphics settings with no problem at all. I love this game but there is something very wrong with the engine they are using, I've never had another MMO have that much of a fps issue or take so long between load screens as SWTOR does.
  11. medium Armor for assassin dps is what i want, so freaking squishy even more squishy than IA OPs >_< .
  12. I would just like to having a high damage from stealth opener like the Ops do with hidden strike, the lack of a good stealth attack on a stealth based spec really sucks...
  13. Dev team is really starting to annoy me, deception assassin is not fine anyway you slice it, if you want a hit and runner in pvp, take an Operative as they are better at burst by a fair margin. Want a dps assassin in an Operation, well you are going to take a madness assassin because deception can't sustain it's dps close to that of madness. Simply put the spec is subpar on both PVP and PVE and this is not good enough. I have Officially given up on deception at this point and won't be going back to it till i see improvements to the spec.
  14. I do this all the time and i still don't always come off that great on my assassin, my Operative how ever can own face all day long using these tactics, simply put assassin aren't good enough at the 1 thing their meant to do which is hit and run, if you want to pick out targets, hit and run then roll an Operative. I really do think the deception assassin tree is not good enough at what it's meant to do and I'm very angry at the devs response of L2P(and yes this is what they said,), the rotation is easy so it's not that, i know how to pick out the right target at the right time and take it out, I've proven that to myself many times over on my Operative. So I'm pretty sure I've got the L2P part down but I'm still finding deception an inferior burst spec. Basically what i can gather from the devs comments is they truly do see deception as a glass cannon spec, well that's true of the glass part, we do break easily but I'm not so Sure of the cannon.
  15. Well case closed then, you chose the server knowing the risk and you are willing to wear it, your friend (the OP) should just do the same, nothing more to discuss here really.
