  1. Hiya, So I recently spent a boatload of CC on the Destroyer's set with the intention of sharing it across a few of my characters after unlocking it via collections - only to find that, because its one of the "older sets" and I guess because it had stats/mods associated with it (a distinction I never picked up on when purchasing), it cannot be unlocked via collections. Anyway, while frustrated and feeling a bit burned (I bound them to a character I didn't intend to use them on), I guess I should have done more research on the set ... So, yeah, my suggestion - is there anyway you guys could provide some kind of visual cue or notification or distinction on the sets that will not be able to be unlocked among one's characters in the Cartel Market? Perhaps a different color? A banner? Located on a separate page? (though I do realize... now... that the little icon showing that it can be shared was absent, but its absence prior to purchase was not even noticed by me.. I mean, I didn't even know some sets couldn't be shared.... oh well, live and learn, just trying to help someone in the future) Edit: Ack, sorry, I put this in the wrong sub-forum - should be in CM Suggestions
  2. You guys are all my collective heroes! Thank you!
  3. Hey! Thanks for responding! Sadly, no, after finishing the Stage 1 group of quests, I was unable (and am still unable) to interact with the mission terminal (either the one in the orbital station or on A's plantation). I have the Mass exodus quest, showing I think 4 quests to complete (on Gravity Hook 7). When I complete them, there's no indication of what to do for Mass Exodus, and when I'm on the station, the "complete quest" icon appears on my map - but I cannot interact with the droid to actually finish out the quest. When I reset Mass Exodus, nothing changes. When I abandon, it goes back to me needing the 4 or 5 quests. When I complete those, the same thing happens. I've now abandoned/retried 3 times. Right now I'm just hoping the weekly reset will fix it for me, though my hopes are dim. I figure I'm SoL, because customer service won't look at non-class mission when I file a ticket, and as this is my first time through the quest arc, I simply don't understand the mechanics quest series to give good information on what I think is going wrong.
  4. I'm having a problem, and can't seem to find any information on it. I did my three Stage 1 dailies, and after finishing the third, and Stage 1 weekly quest closed out or disappeared. Now all I have is the general [staged Weekly] Mass Exodus, and after completing all the tasks involved for that one, the quest remainds in my log with no indiciation of who I need to turn it into. I feel like there's a disconnect here, as I'm having trouble explaining it because I basically don't understand how the arc works. Based on the above post, I completed the first quest (Stage 1 weekly), but the interlude never triggered. Anyone have similar issues? I'm at a loss, and all my tickets get responded with the general "we can help unless its a class quest." No love at all.
  5. It's possible that the ones that are reasonably priced are selling, and what you're seeing are the ones too overpriced to sell.
  6. I used to think Swtor' s ftp model was quite restrictive, until i realized that everything you mention there, with the exception of credit cap, can be bought/bypassed using in game currency. With a little time and patience, you never actually have to spend real money.

  8. Devils advocate: what if you leveled via pvp or just flashpoints? You then get credit for something you never did?
  9. All of the things you mention should be, and perhaps may be in the future, unlockable through CM/GTN purchases. Outside of those things, if properly planned for, Swtor's ftp model can be played with I think not too much headache. The one thing about Swtor that is not often emphasized is that nearly everything you need can be bought on the GTN for in-game money, not necessarily CC. And people selling those unlocks are best served at pricing them with the FTP/Preferred player in mind, as that's their target market (i.e., 200k/350k limits), though shooting to tap into your market, and mine (that is, current subscribers going ftp) is a viable option as well
  10. Wait, what? You got paid? Sonnofa! Well, I'm just going to have to write a tersely-worded letter to upper management.
  11. I think what they should ideally do is something along the lines of what Turbine does, especially with DDO, and a bit with LotRO - that is, occasionally have themed-based advancement boosts. I.e., a weekend with double WZ xp, or valor gain, or social gain, space xp, commendation gain, etc. etc. Serves as a means to get people to try out specific facets of the game, or keeps it optional if people choose to avoid 'em.
  12. Like the others above me, I'm also currently in the application process. Its been a great time so far, lots of fun and laughs. In-game the guild is pretty good, and I've had no lack for answers to my questions, request for input, and/or folk to run things with. A fun and well-knit group/community, and I'm glad I found them.
  13. Nice, I spent four very good years in Buffalo. Gained way too much weight there - seeing how the basic pizza has peperoni on it. Hehe But I miss good beef on weck
  14. Been playing about a month now as well (Funny, seems a lot of folk have - coincidentally when Lotro's server's went down? hehe, that's when I checked out swtor), and I must say I really dig this game. Very, very fun, and I've actually subbed, which is something I haven't done in forever (that's not to say I don't spend money on a game, I just tend to work within the FTP model). My only issue is that I haven't found a guild I feel completely at home in - obviously that's not the game's fault, nor is it the community's - just a run of below average luck But I'll keep looking on Ebon Hawk!
