  1. You can do it once on Normal difficulty, and once on Hardmode/Nightmare difficulty per week. You cannot clear the same operation and same difficulty twice in the same week.
  2. I'd have to agree, I've stopped attempting any /bug report or customer service tickets... I'm convinced they are not read by any humans. So your best bet is to just read the forums to know which bugs are out there, and then try to avoid them. The chance of getting loot that you could not loot because of bugs is nil from my experiences, and so filling a support ticket out is a waste of time.
  3. I'm using a Combat spec of 3/35/3, with the non-combat tree points in Focused Slash and Insight, and the ones I omitted from Combat are Debilitation (because it's bugged right now, and doesn't actually work) and Jedi Crusader (it might be useful if you're pvp heavy, though has very little benefit from operations). You could move 2 points from Steadfast into Jedi Crusader if you pvp often and already have a high accuracy stat. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#5010cZhGrrddrRMsZh.1 Some rotation tips (it's more of what's up, how much focus you have, and hp of targets than a straight rotation): - Zealous Strike, Precision Slash, Blade Rush, Blade Strike is a common combo - Zealous Strike basically whenever available - For huge burst while having 30 centering, at least 8 focus, and cooldowns available, use: Zen, Valorous Call, Inspiration, power adrenal + relic (both off GCD), Blade Rush, Precision Strike, Blade Rush, Blade Storm, Blade Rush, Blade Rush, Blade Rush, Blade Rush - Much of the rotations revolve around using Zealous Strike and Precision Slash about as often as they come off cooldown - Use Zen almost as much as you can (unless it would be a waste at the time), and use adrenals + relics while using Zen whenever available
  4. @EclatDeGivre Yeah without a combat log to get averages over many uses it's hard to tell definitely which would be better, Blade Rush, or Riposte + Strike. Though Blade Rush is 1 guaranteed Ataru form hit, plus a chance at a second hit (this second one might be due to bug), while the other has chances of 0-1 Ataru form hits chance (due to not being able to get more than 1 Ataru form hit every 1.5 secs). The +10% extra damage to next focus spender (from Opportune Attack), plus added focus generation of Ataru form hits (from Combat Trance), make it a bigger deal if neither the Riposte or Strike proc the Ataru form hit I feel. In either case, I feel the damage between the two options is so close that I don't use Riposte + Strike. If I could macro Riposte + Strike I might change that, or if I did mostly pvp (pve operations are my main focus). The Pacify usage to guarantee a dodge enabling Riposte is interesting though, I haven't thought of ever doing that.
  5. I think you're confusing this for something else maybe... as there is no cast bar (it's instant cast, though the damage does wait until the ~1 sec animation completes). The only Sentinel in-combat abilities with casting bars are Master Strike, Force Stasis, and Disable Droid.
  6. Were you testing while in combat? The perk doesn't stack with sprint, so it does nothing while out of combat, but it should have an increase while in combat over someone else.
  7. It depends on which tree you're spec'ing for, though here's what I don't use as combat tree: 1) Slash - It gets replaced by Blade Rush at levels 40+ 2) Riposte - It's too costly (3 focus), does less damage than Blade Rush (2 focus when have 3 points in Focused Slash), and the requirement of parry/deflect/dodge prior to being able to use it greatly reduces it's availability. The one time I could see it's usage is in pvp, if you have a lot of focus and want it to assist with some burst to finish someone (as it's off the GCD) There's some others which are used rarely, but they still have their usages and deserve a keybind imo.
  8. Try and get new blood that only recently hit 50 but wants to get into operations, to replace possible losses. Other than that, not sure what alternate advice can be given, as I'm seeing some similar experiences in my guild.
  9. I'm 100% for combat logs being added to the game, in fact I want it more than anything else, even more than new content. You guys against this really have no idea what it's like playing a dps class who's focused on operations, and not being able to measure your personal performance, and it's relative effectiveness compared to other teammates. It's mind bogglingly frustrating not having combat logging. Only a very small fraction of players would use combat log results to berate or harass other players with. Besides, exposure to jerks in MMOs or in life are unavoidable from time to time, but how you react to them is entirely up to you. Just join a group of players that fit your style of play, and avoid grouping with those that don't.
  10. I don't have a problem with stims materials, as they last two hours and persist through death, but the adrenals are the problem. They need to up the amount of adrenals given per craft (and 3 on normal, 4 on crit craft like exotech medpacks would still be too little).
  11. If you're a dps spec, you'll still want Biochem for operations, due to the reusable adrenals. The consumable adrenals still have unreasonable material requirements, making them essentially unobtainable in the quantities you'd want. It doesn't matter how credit rich you are, when there's no adrenals on the broker, and no Biochem player wants to deal with the huge timesink of making high quantities of adrenals. If you care about your damage output, you should be using 20-40 adrenal usages per operation as a dps class. They need to up the amount of adrenals given per craft if they truly wish to get more players to drop Biochem, otherwise I see no possible alternative.
  12. Super old bug, but it can be bypassed with ease. For the first row, make sure the North side finishes first. For the second and third rows, make sure the South side finishes first. Also if you get the bug, you should reset the instance before re-entering (note: some trash will respawn).
  13. The reset is based purely on time... if it reset it was because they didn't all die before time expired. Assisting another player will cause a debuff on you that prevents you from doing any damage to the mobs. This debuff can be gotten from: 1) Healing someone else in the party (and abilities like watchman spec'd Sentinels usage of Zen making burns give group heals will cause this) 2) Buffing someone else (like a Sentinel's group dmg/heal buff Inspiration) 3) Damaging someone else's mob while that player is alive Note: you can have someone die, and once that player is dead, everyone else in the ops can attack their mob without getting the debuff. So if one player for whatever reason is unable to kill their mob, have them intentionally die and then the rest of the ops group can kill their mob for them after they take care of their own mob first.
  14. Assuming you're talking about HM/Nightmare difficulties: - Ops leader selects Round Robin looting option - Have only 1 person click the corpse/chest, and have that person turn off auto-loot in options - That person right clicks each item in loot individually, which will prompt the need-greed-pass window for each ops member (this gives everyone time to see one at a time, rather than all at once) - After all items done, everyone else can loot corpse/chest to receive commendations That above describes the ideal looting situation for HM/Nightmare ops, to avoid missing out on loot, and gives ample time for people to decide which need-greed-pass option they want to choose per piece of loot.
  15. As the forum moderators directed us back here for combat logging related discussion, it would be nice if we could get a developer to give an update on this endeavor. Seeing as the initial response was from 12/21/11 (one day after launch), it would be nice to get a confirmation about the developers plans, and/or approximate timeframe for implementation (even if it's an answer like, "sometime before summertime").
