  1. I have been playing around with some AOE type builds in the calculator. Given you would use cluster bombs and corrosive grenade. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#400ZrI0bRobZGbbkrMhd.1 I am just theory crafting but would this be viable?
  2. Sorry I didn't realize it wouldn't capture the quote you had in your reply also. That comment was not really aimed at you but the person that said it did not work against knockback. Though I have found that it doesn't work even when against non scripted enemies. You can even get grappled by regular guys while in cover....but reguardless. To the OP you should probably play to 50. Then get back to us about how bad a** you are
  3. You might want to be specific. Entrench only works against knockbacks in PVP. It does nothing to protect you in PVE. And from what I have seen/heard that is working as intended.
  4. For balance reasons I think it should just be changed to "Pulse" and not require cover ether. My old main was a Merc and I had 2 knockbacks which required only for me to hit 1 button not 2.
  5. I think your forgetting about snipers. Most useless? You can heal. That alone makes you not useless. And your dps isn't that bad. You just can't WTFPWN someone now. Welcome to being a IA. If you want to talk about least useful the sniper forum that way ------------------------------> And yes I am a sniper.
  6. Just be the FOTM and be a sorc. There I told ya what to do. NAO DO EEETTTT! If you can heals people will love you. (if you don't suck anyways) But there are a bazillion Mercs. (most dps though) And OPS were the FOTM until the nerf. (Though I still see a lot of them) So no matter what you pick you will not be a special snowflake. Just play what you enjoy. Play them all. GOTTA COLLECT THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. "it just makes me someone with a better understanding of the game" If it looks like a duck and it sounds like a duck it must be a........
  8. From a developers standpoint a casual gamer is someone who does not have the time/motivation to play for longer periods of time. Let me explain this a little further. A casual gamer would be someone who logs in for a hour or two a night and plays. This is not always the case but again I am telling you this from a developers point of view. Another person who we would call "casual" would be someone who really doesn't want to pvp and doesn't want to raid, primarily due to the amount of time required for these activities. This leaves dungeons, which this type of player may do occasionally especially if the dungeon is shorter and consumes less time. There are other characteristics but, you kind of get the idea. This is again just a view of how some of the companies I have worked at look at a "casual" gamer.
  9. I would agree, Some of the light side options are really interesting. Even the NPC's are surprised by some of your choices. And to those that get upset in flashpoints or groups that want you to pick dark, let them know when they start paying your sub you will pick any choice they want.
  10. I am not sure for pvp I could bring myself to replace my w key. I do usually use the mouse to start running or move around some. But I don't think I could re-bind it like that. But that's just my opinion.
