  1. All classes have a moddable set of bracers and belts EXCEPT FOR MARAUDERS AND SENTINELS. I guess they just forgot to add them in for us... Yet another area that bioware decided to shaft marauders and sentinels.
  2. Power only benefits Blade Storm because Blade Storm already has a 100% chance to crit. Yes with higher power you may hit harder using blade storm, but all your other attacks will suffer for it. For example: Lets say you use blade rush 3 times. (Not including the ataru and offhand) With higher power, you might hit something like 700, 1,000, 900. But with Higher Crit, you will hit 1,800, 900, 2,100. All that matters during combat is getting your critical hits. They will do much, much more damage overall. Thats why i use power relics and adrenals specifically for blade storm, and then I let my crit rating take over for all my other attacks. That way you can have the best of both. Temporary high power for the one trick pony that is Blade Storm, and then sustained high crit for all other attacks.
  3. My current gear is mostly Crafted and Custom gear, (No raid or champ pvp gear yet) so there is still lots of room for improvement. My Current Stats are: Strength = 1533 (With Biochem Stim, 1429 without) Accuracy Rating = 154 Power = 152 (With Biochem Stim, 109 without) Critical Rating = 494 Surge = 354 Damage (Pri) = 637-776 Damage (Sec) = 183-275 Bonus Damage = 358.6 Accuracy = 101.19% Critical Chance = 30.95% Critical Multiplier = 88.04% Hope this helps.
  4. Through testing of both power and crit rate setups with a level 50 (Combat Spec), i have found that i prefer the Crit setup. And here's why: I know a lot of people would say that since we have an attack that grants 100% crit chance with our best attack (Blade Storm), that crit rating is useless... But here's why i think your wrong. Through testing, i have found that where Crit Rating shows the highest benefits is with Blade Rush. I was ripping through enemies with Blade Rush criting constantly for 1600-2200 damage (not including the ataru strike and offhand damage that follows). The thing with power is, that the only attack that benefits from it is Blade Storm. With crit, you see benefits with every attack. So i think the stats to aim for are Strength as high as you can get it>Accuracy to 100%>Crit to 30%>Surge to 90%>then power. The best way i found to take advantage of Blade Storm with a crit setup is to use power relics and adrenals to temporarily maximize Blade Storms damage (doing this i was able to crit for 4400-4600). And then, once Blade Storm is on cooldown, spam Blade Rush. So a good rotation would be (Against elites, first activate Inspiration, Power relic and adrenal) Force Leap, Opportune Strike, Zealous Strike, Precision Slash, Blade Rush, Blade Storm, Master Strike, then spam Blade Rush. Using this rotation, strong enemies will usually go down during Master Strike for me. If they don't, then usually all it takes is 1 or 2 hits from Blade Rush to finish the job.
  5. ARE YOU KIDDING ME BIOWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recently got to level 50 and began the end mission to find out i HAVE TO USE THE WORTHLESS PIECE OF TRASH THAT IS T7. I haven't even touched his gear since level 15. GREAT FREAKING JOB BIOWARE. Who's stupid idea was this????? So i guess this means that i just have to forget about ever finishing my jedi knights class story because there is no way i'll be completing it with my squishy sentinel. There probably isn't a lot of people at level 50 yet, but once there is, these forums will be exploding with angry people. Great job at making the most iconic star wars character worthless in this game. Thanks for nothing!!!!!!!!!! Edit: And to top it all off, i realized i can't even go to ilum now!!!!!!! First i get the Kira bug and can no longer romance, then the Doc bug, then i spend days searching belsavis for those stupd rakata cubes to get my matrix cube, AND NOW THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I would really ask for is to just be able to use whatever companion i want. Let me use the companion i've spent all my money and time gearing up. And to not be forced to use one that is worthless.
  6. After testing out my crit set, i'd say i have to agree with you that crit seems to be the better option. I noticed a pretty nice increase in dps overall. Where I noticed it the most is with Blade Rush. When blade rush crits more often, it makes it really easy to take down enemies when you are criting for 1400-1800 with almost every strike (and thats not including the ataru strike that comes right after).
  7. I too am having a hard time deciding on whether or not to stack mostly power or mostly crit. So, I decided to do some calculations and i thought i'd share them with you and get everybody's input. By switching some mods around, I took the stats from 2 sets of my ideal gear setup (keep in mind i don't currently have these stats, but it's what i will be working towards in the next few weeks) which ended up looking like this (Also keep in mind that I am building this around the combat tree). Set 1 Strength = 1,335 Accuracy Rating = 119 Critical Rating = 287 Surge = 272 Power = 166 Total Accuracy = 100% Total Critical Chance = 26.7% Total Bonus Damage = 320.25 Total Critical Multiplier = 87.76% Set 2 Strength = Same Accuracy Rating = Same Critical Rating = 407 Surge = Same Power = 46 Total Accuracy = Same Total Critical Chance = 31.82% Total Bonus Damage = 268.55 Total Critical Multiplier = Same So there you have it... My ideal setup. One with power and one with Crit. So my question to all of you is. What is better, having an extra +51.7 Bonus damage from my power gear, or having an extra +5.12% from the Crit Rate gear? Also, if i was ever to swtich to watchman instead of combat, would this setup still be good or should i change a few things?
  8. Thanks for the info. I'll keep a look out on the AH.
  9. I seem to be having a very poor success rate with getting any mandalorian iron. I've been sending out my companion with +5 to underworld trading, and 8500 affection. After 50 or so missons (mostly abundant yield ones) I've only gotten 6 iron and over 150 ciridium. Am i doing something wrong??? is anyone else having better luck???
  10. I'm having similar problems as well. I've been trying for 5 days to get enough mandalorian iron to craft with. The companion i'm using is doc (who has +5 underworld trading) with affection level of 8500. After 50 or so level 6 missions (with most of them being abundant yield), i've gotten a grand total of 6 mandalorian iron and 160 ciridium. only twice have I gotten any iron. I've spent over 100k and wasted 5 days trying to get some iron... Am i doing something wrong??? or maybe they just need to increase the crit rate because this is really getting frustrating.
