  1. Yeah ... I rolled a few toons before settling for a Pyro PT spec. Got L50 in around a week, char in around 5 weeks old now and R.61 but haven't logged-in in 2 weeks. Not really interested in rolling other chars. Happy with this one but the game is hard to get the motivation up to play. Literally waiting to see what they do over the next couple of weeks and if the game doesn't bring a lot more to the table then going to be pulling the sub. The Devs aren't giving enough feedback and I've no real loyalty to them by this point. When the game was first mentioned I thought it looked trashy, but they seemed to make a pretty good looking product for release. It's just lacking in content, though, IMO. 3 WZs and no stat-tracking seems very, very naive and I think that it really has impacted upon many peoples' enthusiasm who wanted to see this game succeed. 2 weeks ... we'll see.
  2. Nice idea, but yeah .. too late. A third faction WOULD be awesome but it may also lead to not merely Imperials rolling a new toon on it but also current Republic players so may end up just being Imperials v. the new faction and the Republic being completely left behind, despite them obviously being integral to the game. The fact is, BW did a bad, bad job of making the pubs appeal in the first place.

    I'd argue that the system would be FINE ... if there weren't SO MANY CC's going around. IMO, not every AC should have them. Personally, I think that 'support' classes should have them mostly - and mainly for evasive purposes. For example a healer - DPS is ripping up the field trying to get to the squidgy healer ... healer mezz's them or stun-locks them in order to heal up and/ or get away and find team-support. Unfortunately, CC's because there are so many and everyone has them - some classes having A LOT - means that they're being used nearly always for offensive actions, solely, the idea being 'If they literally can't fight back for 5seconds that'll give me an advantage in a 1v1'. SO ... I think either the resolve system needs buffing up, or the number of CCs needs nerfing. One of the two, maybe both ... but something needs to give.

    Ideally what we need is a list of the respective CCs, which chars have them, how much each contributes to the resolve bar filling up and how long the bar is filled up for. I do agree with the idea that they need to be toned down, though. General consensus is ... Mezzes which break on damage I don't mind AS much ... but the CC's that don't break on damage .... grrrr ... especially seeing as you can get hit by 2 of these before your bar fills up so that can be 10seconds of not being able to do anything should your break still be on it's CD.

  6. Took me around that time, too. Maybe a fraction less. I really don't understand why people DON'T SAVE THEIR WZ/MERC COMMS (!) prior to L50 ... if you get 1,000 of each when you hit L50 you only need to PLAY 1 WZ and you can have 6 bags in 15 mins work maximum which is 90 Centurion Comms, and 42 Champion Comms. For 15 mins (max) work, that's really pretty easy.
  7. One of my main concerns is that with the Vote2Kick function, a lot of people may just vote positively to have that player kicked w/o knowing if that person is AFKing or not. I'd love to see a combat log introduced so if I saw a vote2kick someone pop up then I could just get the combat log up - check if they'd done/ were doing any damage, healing, protection and make my decision based on that. Think a lot of people will find it easier to just click in favour of the kick option rather than investigate the issue mid-match/combat or whatever.
  8. I see your point but they say they're going to be including mode objective based medals, which I'd love to see. Currently defending (say a node) gets rewarded easily yet there are NO offensive medals as of yet. I think introduction of these would help a lot. And objective doesn't necessarily have to be 'who scored/ planted a bomb' but those fighting in the proximity of objectives. Guess it could work like the 'guard' type function. You can slap guard on someone but if you aren't within 30m of them then it doesn't work.
  9. IMO, just reward players as they go through a match with objective medals, etc (which they're talking about implementing). In this way, just being there and AFKing doesn't actually benefit you, whatsoever. The reason people AFK is because the game gives the same base winning or losing rewards to the best on the team AND the worst on the team. Currently the only way to differentiate is how many medals you get. Change the medal system so that some classes aren't disadvantaged by it like now and buff up the rewards you get for that instead so they make up the vast majority of the rewards. Ergo, if you are AFKing you get next to nothing ... Problem solved.

  11. The hybrid system is awful. They should just let you choose between 2 spec trees at the beginning of the match. No healers on your team? Choose the healing tree - awesome healer, pretty poor at DPS. Fancy going DPS? Cool - you can spec to be powerful DPS but your healing will be sucky. The current system sucks for those don't have a hybrid choice, e.g. Sent/Maras and Snipers. It'd also be nice if you wanted to go grab some PvE gear (because it's better than PvP gear ... for PvP ... ). I'm a DPS spec'd PT but for PvE people are always only looking for Tanks or Healers which are pretty scarce. Would give players like me the opportunity to switch over to a Tank spec and not have to wait for SO long just to get into a flash-point or something because they're missing a Tank. Would also add a bit of diversity to the PvP if I could switch to Tank Spec before a WZ and try that out, etc.
  12. Yup, I feel for a lot of guys. I've had 2 BM tokens out of 4 bags so far. IMO, go for Rakata Gear instead and mix and match. BM gear isn't worth the raging over for a miniscule stat increase. Sometimes it's even worse for stats than Champ gear. I think they should have just made a wide selection of Orange L50 gear that looked very different for each class and then you had to save up tokens to buy 'BM' or 'Champion' mods. Think I'll swap my BM mods for my Champ mods, anyways. Crap-system, makes it pointless after you've got your Champ gear.

  14. Erm ... I believe you mean 4seconds of invicibility for Maras/Sents which halves their HP when activated also?
