class missions + planetary heroics = perfectly leveled and extremely well geared....the heroics also now take a total of like 5min each they are so easy, so its rly not that long.

probably both, the old time subs will most likely drop off one by one as the final nails of disappointment are hammered home...the casual crowd tho i expect will rise by a nice amount, once again another way casual stance to an mmo has slapped the old time players, but oh well, cant change a successful way money is made

the main reason ppl are so unhappy and bashing on kotfe is becuase they subbed like most subs for most of 2015 and were super excited for the most lack luster expansion yet...YES the STORY is amazing, we all know this, well done bioware, but to honestly think most of the sub player base is going to be sticking around longer than a week is so bad the guys in charge of that really should be let go.... 4-5 hours of content in an expansion, that took nearly 1 year, is sooooooooo bad, its literally hard not to be upset/ QQ over this as the entire game got streamlined into easy mode, with next to no elder game content (and no rehased/ re stat previous elder game is not content to most vets) but im sure the casual crowd and f2p players will love the new changes, which is what bioware is catering to now...and i fully expect the monthly installments of story to be 20min max, so who knows how things are gonna go moving forward.

what VPN did you use? none of my battleping or WTFast are doing anything lol

but i dont have bit raider at all, also if u disable it, doesn't it force a FULL re download of the entire client, liek 50GB + ?

FIX the launcher!!!! 20-50 kbps for over 36 hours now :| by the time i actually get in the game the next patch will have me downloading for 10+ hours....come the F**k on guys!!!!! AND NO, its NOT my internet or PC, I have normal speeds in everything, just a few weeks ago i downloaded the battlefront beta in a few hours, that was the same size as 4.0.......and i dont have bit raider, its legit this stupid new launcher........... rant done lol

want to post a link on how to do this? if we can manually download the patch and place it in the swtor folder, i would do this now lol! where do we get the files?

no its not on his end its the new launcher, there is already a thread going about this, the download times are INSANELY slow, im barely getting 80 kbps most of the time, where as before this launcher went live I was getting 500 kbps +........what i found in the seetings tho, is the new launcher has for some unholy reason, re enabled bit raider! disable that crap now lol!

i followed a guide on reddit to open the launcher settings, and set bit raider disable to TRUE.....well it seems the new launcher automatically put bitraider in....yay...... after doing this my speeds now instead of 20-50 kbps are now 60-80 kbps...not great...but better lol , but it still spikes down to 30kbps now and then and even reaches 180 kbps now and then, so.....yer......still hate this launcher tho, soooo much! eso may have made u re download entire content, but at least u got decent speeds.....

so i have read alot that players have seemed to have completed the entire story and companion content in like under 10 hours? is this srsly true? what is the actual length of the story without space bar? i will be very disappointed if this is true, and will just make the estimated 3 days i have left to download the 8gb patch that much more soul crushing, stupid launcher.

ts been 14 hours 30min and i have downloaded god damn 2 gb..... srsly bioware need to fix thier launcher NOW, it will literally take me 3-4 Mother *****ng days to download 8gb, when 2 weeks ago i downloaded 8gb from EA for battlefront in about 3 hours. anyone know if we can revert to the old laucnher? im 100% convinced its that crap, and srsly im this close to unsubing as my power supply cant handle 4 days straight anymore....so happy i pushed off this weeks work to next week, only to have my spirits crushed realizing i now get to spend the 3 days i took off doing that work at home......................... my god 20 kbps to 80 kbps....*** is this ****............. and its NOT my connection or pc.

Okay so the new launcher HAS to be broken or something, I used to get 500 Kbps on the old launcher. I noticed it last week but now I sense a massive problem as my speeds with this new launcher are around 20 Kbps to 80 Kbps which is horrific!!!! Does anyone know of any fixes? I changed my launcher to enable p2p but that did nothing, tried some other fixes and nothing.... This rate it's going to take another literal 28 hours to download (did 1gb in 4 hours)... I know it's not me as my internet it fine, it's only this stupid new launcher

its an expansion, you play your level 60 characters that you are playing with now, everyone just gets 1 free level 60 that you can play with or not bother with at all. Lana Beniko is your 1st level 60 companion in the expansion, you will recruit your old companions again, as well as some new ones and some other classes companions.

It hasn't been confirmed if we CAN kill companions yet.....also to answer yoru questions, part of the story is building an ALLIANCE, this means you will be recuriting your old companions, and from what we know, some of the other classes companions as well....as to companions at the start of the expansion, it is already known that LANA BENIKO is your 1st companion, she frees you from carbonite.

I'm hoping for hours and hours and hours per chapter like there currently is....but...doubtful..... however from the Dev interviews and previews from journalists, it would appear that each chapter is "Multiple hours" worth of content, with twists, turns, betrayls and heroic moments...sounds good from the stuff I have read. So I would probably assume each chapter is 2-3 hours, with 9 chapters at launch.
