Say if you go complete level 5 dark side, then you decide to do nothing but light side options after will your character appearance lose that corruption it had before, or once your character is scarred by the dark side there is no going back?

I just downloaded the game, at least the bare mininum section where I could only do starting planets and noticed my cursor wasn't mataching to what I was trying to point to. I couldn't get past the sever selection screen cause I would have my cursor above several slots above the actual server I was trying to highlight and select. Is there a work around this?
