  1. Hey guys, just another Shadow here. Would anyone mind listing me some of the serious PvP guilds on the server? Been playing for a little while now more of less guildless, just stomping up pub qs (iknowliekitshardrite?) and was thinking I should find a guild for some serious ranked qs. Anyways thanks ahead for any help, I am heading off to bed for the night. Will check in my morning. ^^ Goodnight.
  2. I believe it limits itself at 47%, I tried once popping a 400 some surge pot with my base 200 surge to see if you could get over 100%, the result was being at 97%. Not sure if it just gets a really strong DR or if thats the cap though.
  3. What do you mean by in the same manner? You will still get all 4 ticks of the force lightning, and they will do the same damage, but will just tick faster.
  4. Are you including boss values of armor and how spells work against different armor types?
  5. No, for ops you are almost required to go a force efficient build. Creeping Terror build is one way to do that but Lightning will do more damage than the creeping terror build. In addition, for 0/13/18, not using Chain Lightning will result in Lightning pulling ahead (as a of Thunder Blast, having a constant source of Internal damage). If you are looking for a good PvEvP build though 0/13/28 is definitely the way to go assuming you don't plan on doing a lot of raiding. You can get away with that build, but I min max so I will do as much as possible to be the best I can be in a raid scenario.
  6. Trust me, getting 600 crushing darkness crits tear people apart. Until I had to respec for Ops I was: Crushing Darkness > Affliction > Death Field > Force Lightning > Chain Lightning Dead in under 8 seconds. Not to mention by going deeper into madness you pick up great survivability tools centered around your Whirlwind. Allowing you to easily 2v1. As that lightning spec if someone gets on you, your done for.
  7. Just something to note, while 0/13/28 is the best DPS for short fights, it cannot maintain its force consumption forever, so in Ops it is quite unappealing. In addition to deep lightning having an infinite amount of force, Thundering Burst also provides a more steady amount of Internal Damage than Deathfield, to deal with those extremely high armor bosses. Not trying to distract the main topic of this thread, just giving some constructive feedback.
  8. The DoTs get SIGNIFICANTLY buffed by going down the Madness tree. In addition, by going down into Lightning the ONLY thing you are gaining is 50% crit damage on chain lightning... wooohooo. The increased crit damage on deathfield and all of your dots along with increased duration on crushing darkness outweighs that 50% crit damage. Also, the madness spec is one of the top Pve DPS specs right now, whereas this hybrid lightning spec, does terrible.
  9. No PvE spec should ever have Creeping Terror. If you are looking for a force efficient build (which is the only reason to go Creeping Terror) you are better off going deep lightning. The reason that 0/13/28/ is better than 3/7/31 is because of Lightning Barrage in addition to Chain Lightning. Using chain lightning in this spec is a small DPS increase but an increase non the less, but what is more important is Lightning Barrage for the half casting Force Lightnings. Oh and btw, you can double dip Lightning Barrage. Edit: Btw, you have to remember that Creeping Death also affects the crit multiplier of your DoTs.
  10. Going 28/13 is a retarded spec that people need to stop going. There is NO POINT to go this spec. You spam Force Lightning so you can get Chain Lightning procs? Then why go that far into lightning? 0/13/28 is miles ahead of that dumb lightning hybrid spec. You get DoTs to tick while you sit there channeling your force lightning, not to mention Deathfield and Deathmark that hit for retarded amounts and deal internal damage.
  11. You should be getting both because using chain lightning and deathfield results in a very high force consumption build.
  12. Just so you know you cannot double dip the force reduction cost on force heal, this is because the amount of force a spell costs is taken away after the spell finishes activating not when you start casting the ability.
  13. And this thread is exactly why 90% of sorcs suck.
  14. Well.. considering you are level 22 you really have no options for gear, just take whatever has more stats, and also you should not be lightning.
