  1. Most people are able to understand what the OP is saying. The problem is, no one other than BW have any idea how they were and are currently calculating expertise. If it is really only 1.45% than the decrease in time to kill (TTK) must be due to something else. Because it sure doesn't feel like I am only doing or taking 1.45% more damage. I have a full BM Sorc and a Marauder alt and on both characters I feel like I am killing and dying a lot faster. The issue here definitely isn't whether TTK have decreased or not, but why.
  2. Are you using some kind of invisibility hack? No one even tried to attack you... I can't remember the last time I was on my Sorc and didn't have a team of marauders and assassins on my *** for the entirety of the WZ. Must be nice playing with total noobs. I guess higher population server = higher chance of getting paired against a full team of noobs.
  3. They are not giving out an answer because they are scared what it will do to their subscription. I have already cancelled my subscription because most of the PvP changes in 1.2 was terrible. However, the lowered TTK is the main cause of all the imbalances in the game. It reward burst damage too much and rendered healing and sustained damage pointless. I had a Full BM Sorc Pre 1.2 and I was still getting burst down by Marauders in a few global's, but I was fine with that because they were my counter class. Now that the TTK is so low, Sorc are practically useless. Healing is pointless, sustain damage is pointless, and we are the most fragile class in game. I have barely touched my Sorc since 1.2. I just play on my ridiculously OP marauder. I don't even need to play smart anymore, actually its more like I can't even if I want to... I just go in and do my burst rotation and pray my team have more burst damage. The fastest way to save the PvP is to undo all the PvP changes in 1.2.
  4. Three real life friends and I are all having this problem. Looks like it's not fully working yet.
  5. Marauders was one of the strongest class pre 1.2. Other than their ability to completely crush Sorc they weren't ridiculously OP, and most could live with the way things were. With the nerf to healing and the irrational buff to expertise dmg marauders are now ridiculously op. The easy solution is to just undo all of the pvp changes in 1.2 and rework the broken classes.
  6. Yes, that will also help with the low population server problem. The problem with your argument is that Sorcs CCs only look good if you ignore how generous they are on resolve. The Hybrid spec translate into free full resolve. WW and electrocute give instant full resolve( I am aware electrocute only gives 800 but seriously u pick up at least 200 resolve randomly in this CC crazed game). I am not going to argue with you if you think a full resolve marauder wouldn't **** you... Backlash work against you more often than not as whenever I get enough resolve I know I can instant gib a sorc. The same with overload. Its just too easy to get resolve in this game. With an empty resolve bar you may be able to kite me for a few globals but any decent player would save their charge and get some free resolve before switching to you. I will be on you like bees on honey and there is nothing you can do. The main thing separating a good marauder and a bad one is their ability to pick when and where their battle will be.
  7. The only message I got from your post is that there is a BM Sentinel on your server that should commit sepukku out of shame. I can play with one hand on my Marauder and **** any Hybrid Spec Sorc/Sage. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish with your posts, but when you say crap that like your credibility goes out the window.
  8. Reading half of these posts make me facepalm even though I totally agree Expertise is ruining the game. 1. You can't just remove expertise. PvE gear would be too strong and you will continue to have the same problem but worst because anyone that wants to PvP competitively will have to grind PvE gear too. 2. Making all gear cosmetic only would remove our ability to customize our stats for different purposes. Many specs are only viable given various stats. I sure hope you can see why a healing spec would demand different stat distribution than a DPS spec. Here is my solution: Make all 3 tiers of PvP gear have the same amount of Expertise. This makes sure anyone that can afford the Recruit gear would have the same amount of Expertise as someone in BM or WH gear. Its will solve the problem describe in 1 while eliminating the problem of people with WH gear doing insane amount of bonus damage. The stat points in Recruit, BM and WH gear are also only slightly better than each other, similar to how BM was only a few points above Champion gear. This will virtually eliminate the gear gap between a fresh level 50 and a full WH player. Hardcore players would still feel rewarded because their gear are still slightly better and they would be able to better customize their gear by swapping mods from BM and WH gear. As someone that grind from level 1 to level 50, valor rank 67, full BM gear and bought the 800/800 PvP mount all within last month, I won't feel my grind was wasted. Full BM gear simply make too big of a difference against a fresh 50. I PvP to have a challenge not to farm fresh 50s. The slight upgrade and availability of stat customization will satisfy my desire for gear progression without completely gimping fresh lvl 50s. Us hardcore PvPers don't need huge stat boosts to satisfy our gear progression desires.
  9. I made numerous posts warning BW about how the majority of the player base does not visit the forums nor did they adequately explain or notified people of how BM gear will be updated. The 1.5 day warning of when 1.2 was officially released was also incredibly inadequate. BW doesn't care, and they will continue to not care. If you don't want to get screw over again and again you are better off playing another game made by another developer.
  10. It is obvious that BW could have handled the BM gear update better. I can think of a few simple solutions that would have been better. For example, just remove every non-original mod in a BM gear and replace it with the an original right before 1.2 goes live, and when you log in you will receive a quest completion popup, like with crew skills that gives you back all the non-original mods you had in BM gear. Yes its a bit more coding, but infinitely better than screwing over people. BW definitely did not give sufficient warning regarding this issue. Nowhere but on one official forum post was this mentioned. You could have watched all the preview videos and read all the posts on the official website and still be unaware of this problem. The 1.5 days warning on when 1.2 will be officially released is also unacceptable. Yes I was aware that patch 1.2 was "coming out soon" for about a month and a half now. However, I will not use the horrid original BM mods and play. Due to my knowledge of how unreliable and incompetent BW have been lately, I truthfully had no idea when 1.2 was really going to come out. At the beginning I wishfully thought it would be in a week or two, after a month I wouldn't have been surprised if I was told it was going to be a year. So what happens if I had a business trip that 1.5 days and can't log in? So to all of you that said we knew it was "coming" and should have been prepared, GO **** YOURSELF. I have posted a few times in an attempt to warn BW about how poorly they are handling this issue. Although I did managed to replace my mods in time, I can't help but feel this is a waste of my time and money and BW's incompetence will continue to drive this game farther into its grave. As a result I have unsubbed and will only play till my subscription ends.
  11. I am also experiencing various sound bugs. 1. When spamming certain abilities like vicious slash on my marauder, all sound except for vicious slash's sound effect would disappear. 2. Sometimes receiving medals in WZ the sound effect would get very loud followed with lowered volume for a few second. 3. Various sound effects are just wouldn't play sometimes. I have already unsubbed due to the poor PvP balance but some of you may find this information useful.
  12. It is very likely OP wasn't even playing against pre-mades. On low population servers like mine, where there are only 8-16 level 50s on each side, you will just keep playing each other nonstop. Pretty much all the level 50s who PvPs are in my guild, so it must look like a pre-made for the other side. Solution? Server Merges PLZ GGKKTHX!
  13. If you don't know how to correctly interpret the phrase "suffer the cost of", there are probably more important things you should be doing with your life than playing video games. For example, getting a proper education.
  14. Your metaphor is poor for a few reasons. First, McDonalds does not have any responsibility to potential customers. Second, these potential customers are not investing time and money to enjoy an continuing service from McD. Third, thus these potential customers should not have any expectation for McD to inform them of promotions. In our case, we are not potential customers that have not invested time and money in SWTOR. In fact, the timing of my subscription screws me over if the release of 1.2 is poorly managed. My subscription just renewed itself for another month yesterday, so if the patch is to come out next week and I realized that they have screwed me over, and decides to stop playing I would suffer the cost of paying for an extra 3-4 weeks. This places responsibility on BW to adequately inform their existing/continuing customers what they are going to do in the near future, unlike that of McD to potential customers. I have never said they haven't been doing a sufficient job in terms of letting people know patch 1.2 is coming out "soon". However, other than on the forums the information regarding how they are handling modded BM gear cannot be found anywhere else. People can watch the entire 1.2 Preview video on Youtube and still would not be informed of this issue. There is a clear difference between failing to inform people of new content, and screwing them over by wasting their time investment due to poor design and handling of patch releases. As a matter of fact, I can't remember any other major MMO to ever release a patch that require you to do something so trivial or else you get screwed over.
  15. As a matter of fact I have, in fact I have probably played more MMOs that most of you casual kids who started with WoW. Speaking of WoW, you asked if there were MMOs that sent out emails for major game updates. Guess what? They do... If you have played WoW, go to your email and search "World of Warcraft Insider". This may be a bit embarrassing for you, but people can't see your post until you submit it... So your whole (waiting for it) stunt... makes you look like a fool irregardless if you are right or not...
